    Beach time!
    Margie S.

This local area beach is great for the kids or just to have quiet time. Read a book or just chill. There's a great playground for the kids. On one side there's a grass area you can put your chair a soak up sun or the beach area has a small sandy area you can soak up some rays. There's a lifeguard on duty. There's a restroom area. Of course there's nothing like the ocean but the bay can be pretty inviting on a warm day. Wear water shoes like Bristol town beach it's real Rocky! The scenic view here is pretty amazing . I love looking out at the water and the sailboats. Makes me happy to live in the New England area. The kids tend to shore surf for shells and crabs. Keeps them busy while they explore the shore. Nothing wrong with that!! I don't see a charge for this beach anywhere so I'll take it it's free. Enjoy!!

A beautiful little hidden gem. 9 minutes away from Barrington beach and a great hide away. This little area has so much to offer: swimming area, park, car park, grass area, sitting (benches), shower area, and close to town areas for food & shopping . It's cute here as well, over the view of the beach are trees and beautiful clouds on this sunny day. Completely worth traveling here if you don't like the typical packed beaches. We had an amazing time.

Nice little beach with a small patch of sand, clean, bathrooms are available and, most importantly, parking is free! The water was nice and clean too

The actual beach itself is extremely small. Like, maybe 1200 square feet of sand. But there is a lifeguard on duty (at least on weekends) and the water stays shallow for a while, which makes it perfect for those with young kids. For the rest of us, there's a long stretch of concrete wall by the water that's good for laying out/relaxing/reading if you don't manage to snag a patch of sand. There's also a grassy area with a few benches that would be great for picnics. If you just need to get a little sun, sand, and surf into your life, this beach is a convenient and well-maintained place to come, but I wouldn't make it a destination because of its small size.

This is the perfect beach for a toddler. There is ample parking in a lot just across the street, a playground, a shady picnic area and the water has no waves. You can catch crabs, snails and fish to thrill you little ones. This will be my go to beach from now on. The water was clear but the beach itself had a little trash around. The ease of access and all the other perks made up for it. There are also many restaurants near by, a few with vegan options like Eli's BUT be advised that most aren't serving between 2-4.

Great beach to come sit by the water or to bring the kids to play and swim. The water is calm and there is a beach right next to the playground so kids can't really ever be out of your sight. Free parking across the street, I'm not sure if they start charging for when the busy summer time starts. Great for your little explorers too who like to find ocean treasures! Enjoy! They have a good amount of benches and picnic tables for picnics. And they a lifeguard on duty!

Access for disabled folks with sidewalk ramps, and well painted crosswalks, really sweet.

Burr's Hill Park - Water views

Music and mounds…read more Burr's Hill Park is a seven and a half acre park that sits right across from the town beach. A very pleasant place with nice views of the water but this park also holds a bit of a mystery. The park has baseball fields, basketball and tennis courts, and a bandshell where a summer concert series is held. Other events and gatherings are also frequently conducted at the park. It's also right next to the East Bay Bike Path so it's a convenient place to use the bathrooms or get some water while biking by. One of the things that first struck me when viewing the park are the strange mounds that rise up on the perimeter of the park. If you look closely it becomes obvious that these are not natural but created by people a long time ago. These enigmatic mounds are actually the remains of a Revolutionary Fort that was built here centuries ago and long forgotten. No signs or historical plaques are around to mark the site but it's still pretty cool. I couldn't find any signs of recent archaeological activity nor any reference to any digs that have been conducted in the park so who knows what treasures lurk below the surface. Burr's Hill is a nice place that serves many of the recreational and artistic needs of the people of Warren. Interesting to realize that several centuries ago the value and function of the park served a far more martial and less pleasant purpose.
