Goosewing is a nature preserve and has a beautiful shoreline with clean clear rolling waves. The view is spectacular and you certainly feel you are on the edge of land facing the big open ocean. Parking is not cheap, but it was worth every penny. The beach was not full, I found a place away from the groups and unpacked my sandwich. I was bringing my lunch up to my mouth and suddenly I had half a sandwich in my hand and the other half was already in the gullet of a sea gull! I am Savvy, I am aware of gull habits, but this one set a new high bar. I had to laugh, the gull was surprised to find itself with a beak full of veggies. Needless to say said gull stood staring at me while I finished what remnants it left me.

Falmouth Heights Beach is lovely with soft golden sand. Many families enjoy fun moment on the waters off Falmouth Sound. We love walking on the beach, watching the joggers, the swimmers, boaters, sailors...It is also a dog friendly beach which we Love. Get out if you can and enjoy. Life is good! Life is a beach.

Five-Star Beach Review…read more Really enjoyed this beach! The sand was nice, clean, and free of trash, which made it a great place to relax and enjoy the day. I was also impressed with how clean the bathrooms and even the portable toilets were. We paid $30 cash for a weekday day pass as non-residents (July 2026). What a racket! There aren't any other parking options nearby either so just consider it the price of admission. To make it even more ridiculous, I believe they only accept cash or check, adding another layer of unnecessary silliness to the whole thing. Once you're on the beach though, it's absolutely gorgeous. The sand is soft, the water is clean and clear, and there are lifeguards on duty. It gets really busy with families but there's plenty of space to spread out if you come earlier in the day. The amenities are solid too. There are bathrooms, showers, changing areas, a concession stand, and when we visited there was also a Del's Lemonade food trailer. We came during a heat wave and the water was still cold so that tells you everything about the water temp. Overall, this was easily our favorite beach in the Newport area. If I had to choose between this and Easton's Beach, it's not even close. We'd come back here every time. Minus 1 star (should be 2) as the parking experience meaningfully detracted from the visit.

A stroll down the beach offered some very cool finds and the views of the cliffs are awesome. You'll have to get here by car, bike or taxi. The road is marked no mopeds allowed. Tip!!! If you take a taxi, make a designated time for them to come back for you. We were here during the summer of 2020 and due to Covid there were a lot less taxi drivers available. We later realized a prearranged pick up time would've been better than trying to call for a taxi and having a slight anxiety attack because it's an hour walk back to town and no one is answering! Lol! This is a beach person beach as there is no concession stand. The only major downside is no facilities so you know everyone is peeing in the water. I try to not think about that and in the end I truly had the best day of summer 2020 at this beach!!

There seemed to be gates and guards everywhere! The bathrooms were spotless. I loved the fact that there was a separate changing room for the ladies. Spots really are first come first served. The beach is basically almost all grass so I noticed a lot of people with massive tent, set ups and large swaths of area that they would claim, lol. As far as the pond goes, it is one of the cleanest and clearest I have ever seen. It's nice that you can bring floats from home, as well as goggles. The food was pretty decent! And was reasonably priced. Make sure you wear shoes or sandals on the deck of the concession stand because it gets really hot! The only reason I took off a star? This is a family establishment with kids running around. I'm the LAST person to be a prude but HOLY COW- I saw so many cheeks, lol...and I was a woman who DJ'd at strip joints for a year... I am all for women's rights, but this should definitely be a safe space for children. ..,also.... add clam strips to the menu lol
