Made an order at 6:02 pm on a Friday. Delivery time I was told was "around" 30 minutes. I as type this, it is now an hour and still no pizza. I love how inexpensive food is here for the huge volume of tasty food we received. My $8 meatball sandwich is huge but after digging in was disappointed in how few meatballs there were and how much bread covered in spaghetti sauce there was. So 3 stars for my meal. WILL NOT RETURN I don't normally drag a restaurant with a 1 star, especially a place I have been going to for decades. Everyone and every place has their day. But this place is absurd. I called to report a food borne illness and was told they would report it to the health inspector, however it was probably not from them. I wasn't asking to assume responsibility, but I wouldn't expect them to do nothing. Not even mention hand washing to staff or that someone got severely ill. So on 10/29 my birthday off all days... I puked for an hour straight. And my wife whom luckily just stopped nursing was overheating and shaky, sweated through her entire bedding. Woke in a pool. My brother runs a kitchen and outlined how they handle this and at the minimum it is brought up to staff when illness is reported. So I outlined 72 hours of food and called back. Only to be argued with over my suggestion of mentioning it to staff, considering they're coming into a holiday weekend and many many pizzas will be going out. He refused to hear any of it, outlining how his Monday 11/1 meeting would be good enough. After asking him how this makes any sense and arguing more he literally hung up on me. I don't know how this place has so many high ratings. I've been twice and both times the food was lackluster. The service was also mediocre. Additionally, there were flies in the restaurant and it wasn't super clean. It's very meat centric, and they don't offer a vegan cheese option for lactose folx, while other places in Northfield do. my wife and I dined at this restaurant pre covid, and I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo and it was fantastic. The sauce was really creamy and had good flavor, and then we came back after a few years and I ordered the same thing and it was horrible. The noodles were laying in a pool of sauce, not creamy at all and it had no flavor. I complained to the staff and I got money taken off my bill. Oh Georgie! I'm a huge fan of George's Vineyard. I don't eat anything other than cupcakes in Northfield often, but when I do, George's is my favorite. The pizza is great (my favorite in town) and the lunch options there are phenomenal. Their grinders are enormous- easily big enough for two meals- and super tasty. George's gyros are second to none. At least in Northfield. I've never tried their pastas but they look really delicious. Best of all, the service is always friendly and helpful. Would I give George's four stars if it were located on Lake Street? Perhaps not but it is consistently the best in town. They even have some coupons on their website you can print off and bring in. I was recommended this place to have a good pizza. No handicap parking against the law. Wasn't greeted at all. Had to go and get my own menu waited 10 min to ask someone to bring us something to drink. Then other people came in after us got greeted right away menus brought to them. I orders taken before us after they came in after us. Waitress walked by many times never took are order until we said something but 2 older couples came in sat right across from us they greeted right away said sorry to about the wait menus bought to them and order taken . Among our group of six we had pizza, fettuccine alfredo, and spaghetti with meatballs. It was all really good. The BBQ chicken pizza was especially amazing. I decided to try the gyro, since that was one of the main dishes they advertise, and I'm a gyro lover (have had them in many different types of restaurants). I was surprised to be served the worst gyro I've ever had. The pita was actually pretty good, but the meat was awful: thin strips of a dry substance that felt and tasted like shoe leather. Also, two tiny fragments of tomato were included - a ridiculously small amount. What saved this from being a one-star review was our server, Leigh, who was friendly and charming. First time ever at George's. Wife and I both had an onion ring appetizer. Large quantity and only $3.25. Then we ordered the Gyros platter for $8.95. Without a doubt best gyro I have had in many years. Piled high with meat, some Greek olives, and tomatoes, with thinly sliced onions, and some delicious cucumber sauce. Also comes with substantial fries. We had a Greek beer called Mythos. Only $3.25 a bottle and excellent. Glad to see Greece still does a few things right! Grand total $26.15. With the amount of pizza places in Northfield Georges is by far my favourite. Service is relatively speedy and they always have good tunes playing. I recommend the Hot Spicy Chicken pizza. I had the worst dining experience I've ever had at George's Vineyard. My boyfriend and I had gone to George's Vineyard several times, always ordering the same thing. He decided to branch out and get their spaghetti; the online menu now indicates that the sauce has meat in it, but it only said something about adding meatballs upon request at the time of our visit (which was about a year ago). The BF hasn't eaten meat in 14 years now, so he requested it be changed out when it got to the table--meat will literally make him sick after not eating it most of his life. The server said she'd ask the manager. The manager came to the table and lectured us about how it should be implied that a dish has meat unless it specifically says otherwise. In his 14 years of dining out and my 3 years of dining with him, we have plenty of experience with restaurants typically serving marinara sauce and upcharging if a customer wants meat. We explained this to him and requested that he either (a) change the dish or (b) refund it. At this point, the manager actually started yelling. I was astonished. He screamed "GOOD FOR YOU" in regards to the vegetarianism. It was the most absurdly unprofessional response I've ever seen. This is the only time in my life I haven't tipped. I was a dishwasher, expo, host, and server at a chain restaurant for three years, so I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to bad service. This man pushed it too far, though. After my encounter with this charmer, I never, ever want to dine at a location that doesn't have a corporate office to answer to again. read more

Called in and told them the stated prices on their website differed than the receipt. Was told some bogus crap about "site under construction" and yet nothing on the website said that.
