    Stuffed shrimp dinner
    Denise C.

I haven't been here in years, However the inside ambiance is exactly as I remember. It's very rustic and has a certain charm if you love Tiffany lamps and don't mind the taxidermy animals all around. I came in for an early weeknight dinner. I was especially looking forward to their salad bar. I recall it being very memorable all the times that I visited. Upon arrival we were seated immediately as the dinner rush had not started yet. After being seated, our friendly server took our drink orders all while telling us about the nightly specials. She also gave us the additional early bird menu as we could order off of it as well. After placing our orders for petite prime rib, stuffed shrimp and chicken parmigiana we made our way to the salad bar. The salad bar selection was smaller than I remember but all the usual suspects were there to make a nice salad. It was tidy and well maintained. Our entrees arrived shortly after and it was all so delicious. Our dinners were piping hot and everything was exactly as ordered. We enjoyed our meal immensely. Dine here, if you love a nice prime rib dinner and you're in the Lake George area!

George's is THE spot in lake george. My parents and I make it a point to go here for dinner on our yearly trip to LG together. We LOVE the salad bar, it's really what sets them apart from other restaurants in the area. I prefer to get some type of steak while i'm here because it's always made perfect and so good! Drinks are always made well. Servers are wonderful. I love the cozy feel of this restaurant though it passes for upscale as well! Can't wait to come back next year!

oh my gosh. the mushrooms were amazing and my gal who does not eat seafood was raving about them. Richard was very attentive without hovering and his recommendations were spot on. Prime rib with horseradish was wonderful. Lemon curd cake was light and lemony. Everything we had was top of the line. Definitely on our must sees when we visit Lake George and surrounds

Had dinner here the other night. (No reservations taken unless you have a party of six or more). Very rustic interior with lots of mounted animal heads. Bathroom was clean. Service was on point. Food was good, not great. Ahi Tuna appetizer was tasty. Salad was fresh. The Delmonico Steak came with a sweet mushroom sauce on it, which I had not anticipated. It didn't ruin the meal, but it didn't enhance it either.

Ignored for 30 minutes, told the hostess, she in turn told the waitress who looked at us and walked away, horrible service.

First off - DO NOT GET THE SHRIMP COCKTAIL. The shrimp was borderline inedible, extremely chewy with no flavor at all. $15 for 6 inedible shrimp served with little to no cocktail sauce is ridiculous. I then ordered the pulled pork sandwich for dinner in which I found not one but two hairs. I don't usually care about that stuff but after the shrimp experience it was just another added factor. Lastly, my gf and I ordered shots of tequila. I'm a bartender so I know standard pour sizes - these glasses say on the side that they are 2cl which is equivalent to 0.676 oz. If you know anything about standard drinks, 1 standard drink is 1.5-2oz. How are you going to charge me for two shots that are actually not even half of a shot! Not even going to comment on the service because I can tell the people that work there are just trying to meet ends meet and don't really care about their restaurant. Overall, I can understand mistakes and a hair or two in some food - but the intentional rip off on alcohol coupled with barely edible food and a $17 sandwich that comes with a side of Lays chips is just ridiculous. Don't come here I'd recommend going to the restaurant next door.

They start you off with some warm fresh bread and butter that you have to be careful to not fill up on. We shared the truffle fries (if you like thousand island dressing you might like the sauce but it does have a kick to it), sushi roll, and a few large beet salads for the table. Salads were good and plentiful and I liked the dressing. I appreciate that Bistro Le Roux offers smaller and larger portions options for each of their mains. As this is not the norm at most American restaurants, it was a a little unclear to us whether that meant they are sharing plates or not but because most other restaurants give you too much food, ordering a small seems like a reasonable strategy unless you are either A) very hungry or B) sharing with a few members of your party. It's not cheap but this could be a good way to try different dishes. I tried the lobster risotto which was super creamy and came with a reasonable (but not overly generous ) amount of fresh lobster. The corn risotto was very good although it seemed like they had this same thing for a number of their menu items. My wife had the avocado crab salad dish, which was ok (my daughter commented that it was needlessly "fancy"), but the crab on its own would have been better. She thought her risotto was a little undercooked. We also got the corn chowder which was ok but lacked any real flavor and didn't feel worth the stomach space. The tomato bisque, a long-time staple of their menu, was much better and we really enjoyed it. For dessert we had the lava cake which was very rich and good. My son had a plain vanilla scoop, which came with his kid's meal (steak and fries).

With the Americade motorcycle rally underway in town, it was tough to find seating but the staff made it work for me and the tour group that I was traveling with. It's a nice, rustic-looking restaurant. The manager made the rounds to say Hello to us and he made sure that we were doing okay. In the interest of speed, I ordered a salad bar and the soup of the day which was Goulash. It was very good. The salad bar had everything I could possibly want in a salad and it was replenished regularly. The tuna Mac salad there was awesome. The salad bar is $15 if you don't get an entree or appetizer. Perhaps a little steep but I think it might be all-you-can-eat. As a petite person, I probably don't eat enough. From the window, I had a great view of the outlet stores that Lake George is also famous for. I had to fight to the urge to go shopping. Perhaps another day! We had a slight mix-up with the check for our table but the staff took care of the issue quickly and it wasn't a surprise because the place was really packed. Nevertheless, I thought service was really good. Thanks, The Log Jam. You had a log jam of customers but somehow you made it work. We'll be back.
