The store is always filled with fresh fruits and vegetables, along with a wide range of well-known Indian masala brands and exotic rice varieties. A few years ago, the shop wasn't as impressive, with many empty racks, but now it's fully stocked and provides excellent customer service. The only reason I visit other Indian grocery stores is to buy poultry and meat since Madras Groceries is a vegetarian shop. Otherwise, I have no reason to go elsewhere. Plus, it's very close to my home, making it super convenient!

I finally made it there and found the market to be quite small however it was perfect for me. I bought my fruits and veggies and when I turned to go to the next lane/aisle. I saw this Filipino booth with about half a dozen customers in line. I joined the line and watching what customers were ordering. It seemed like it was more stews and bbq sticks. I ended up with empanada bc they were small enough to enjoy while I finish my shopping. I am picky with my empanada, because I have had some that are mostly all bread or dough. However, I was pleasantly surprised they had flavor, and the outer dough was a little bit crispy and lightly doughy, but not over exaggerated so for me, I was pleasantly happy with the dough to meat ratio. The meat which I later found out was ground chicken was seasoned really well and it was moist. But keep in mind, they look small, but taste big :) So the next time I return, I will be sure to buy even more of the empanadas. If they sold them Unfried and frozen I would certainly like to buy a bag for my freezer for those moments that you just need a quick bite..
