A-1, I went all over town to find my groceries and no other store had a better selection than Sangrams Palace.

The Good: *They partner up with lots of local farms, bakeries, and even Burlingame's 157-year-old chocolatier, Guittard. *Transparent labeling about where the products come from. Most stores try and hide it, but Sigona's stands behind it whether it's local or from a different country (e.g., Mexico). *Great selection of fruits and veggies *Also sell meats and locally produced baked goods, like pies and bread. *Friendly service The Meh: *Smallish private parking lot that could fill up during busier times. *Prices aren't cheap but in-line with the typical local farmers market. The Ugly: *Located across the street from the Costco, so it can be a nightmare getting in and getting out of here. Conclusion: Great place for locally produced foods. I wish it was closer to us. =/

Stopped by on a Monday evening after dinner. The store wasn't too busy this day and we remembered to take our grocery bags. Upon entering, the store was clean and well stocked. The entrance takes you through the produce sections. The veggies were standard veggies like bok choy, cabbages, root veggies etc. There were some things I was looking for that didn't have labels, just "general produce." No biggie, I know how to use my phone to scan images. The produce section also has a freezer section with frozen dumplings, buns, and other stuff. The selection was amazing. The meat department had plenty of options from poultry to beef to seafood. They also had frozen meat and poultry in ice chests. I did come for loose leaf teas and found just what I needed. Everything is really great quality and they have different jujube options. I also loved their frozen ice cream and sweets. We got the viral ice creams to try and they also had tanghulu but only the hawthorn ones. We get to the register and the cashiers were really nice. Overall the experience is great!

The variety is impressive--they offer a huge selection of fresh Asian produce along with a wide range of authentic products you don't always find elsewhere. I was absolutely blown away from the different variety of tofu they carry, and also so many different noodles. For me it's a trip (since I live in the bay area), but absolutely worth it!

As we were waiting for our food next door, I decided to pop on into this market as I did need some…read moresumak and it's always fun walking into markets to discover other items. This market is focused on a lot of middle eastern items. So if you're ever in the need for spices, you can find them here like fenugreek, sumak, etc. They also had a lot of different teas, vegetables, fruit, a butcher in the back and bakery/pastry items in the front. I did get my sumak and decided to try out a different brand. Little did I know it was brand that makes sumak here in Fremont. Always good to support a local business. I didn't really take a good look at their produce nor anything much more than what I wanted which was to get sumak so I can't comment to the quality of that. Parking is shared by the kabob place so it's small like 2 spaces. You can always park on the street and walk inside. I'm sure the folks next door utilize this market for their meats and spices. Useful, if you ask me! They accept credit card though I ended up paying in cash. Small market that's convenient if you're needing specific middle eastern items and well if you're next door picking up food, it's not a bad time to just stop by to take a peek.
