This place is small but a nice find. Great fresh sliced meat. Perfect for your hot pot night or bbq nights at home. I found the prices here really good. The owner is nice. Friendly and helpful Cons the parking lot needs work

Owner is super friendly, and you can easily get products with great values! The service is pretty accessible pretty much anytime!

Fast service. Look forward to the food.

Hands down the yummiest pastrami sandwich I've had. Yelp reeled me in with a picture I saw on yelp…read moreI had to try! I was pleasantly surprised with delicious combo of the filllings! Some type of jam, pickles, peppercini, and grilled onion. I chose it to go on sourdough. The sandwich itself took about 15 minutes for them to make and it was served hot. I will be back again!

Something made me think about Katz's Delicatessen in NYC and I suddenly craved a Pastrami sandwich…read more I was excited to find Mirchi nearby and a locally beloved pastrami with interesting ingredients. Location is near the Mirchi cafe on Fremont Blvd in the plaza right next to Wonderland smoke shop. There is plenty of parking. Staff was super nice and helped me open the stuck door that you have to pull really hard on to get in. The market is small but curated and I was drawn to the imported potato chips. I picked up a bag of Lay's Masala chips I haven't had since I was in Mumbai, excited to eat it with my sandwich. The sandwich took about 10 minutes to make and panini-press and smelled delicious. However, when I got home I immediately noticed the color and thought they had mistakenly used roast beef. I looked at some of the other reviews and their doordash image and I'm confused on what I got. The pastrami was missing the distinct reddish-pink color from brining and black bark from smoking, I'm not sure how it was prepped in-house but it tasted like roast beef. I did enjoy the blueberry jam and pepperoncini combo.

Food: The hot tri-tip sandwich was unfortunately ice cold, lacked flavor, and was overcooked. I had to use a lot of barbecue sauce just to make it enjoyable. I've had this sandwich before and it was delicious, so I'm not sure what happened today. 2/10 The hot pastrami sandwich, on the other hand, was flavorful and one of the best sandwiches my wife says she's ever had. 10/10 We didn't order any sides this time, but we'll definitely try them on our next visit. Drinks: We ordered two waters and one Gatorade. Service: Service was quick and efficient. The team at the counter was very friendly and helpful. I also liked the old school touch of filling out a sandwich order form. Prices are very reasonable and fair. Even though my sandwich wasn't the best on this visit, we'll definitely be back to try the sides and other items on the menu.

LENT 2026: GOOD FRIDAY LUNCH…read more The first time I ate at Toro Sushi Stone Grill & Bar was the last Saturday of February for my mom's birthday. We had a private room for the party. Out of food that was served I really enjoyed eating the sashimi, which was presented on a platter. I also liked grilled salmon. During Lent I wanted to come back to Toro for lunch. I thought about getting sashimi or grilled salmon when I came back. A couple days before coming to Toro for Good Friday lunch I looked at the menu online. Why pay for the dishes I ate before? One of the dishes that intrigued me was the baked unagi fried rice. However the baked salmon fried rice sounded enticing. Also one of the appetizers sounded interesting was the sashimi pizza. My plan was to order an appetizer and an entree for Good Friday lunch. On Friday when I got a table I looked at the menu. The lunch special listed unagi don. Then I started thinking to myself. Why do I have to eat only fish on Fridays during Lent? Vegetables are permitted during Lent Fridays. I looked at the salad menu and one item intrigued me was the avocado salad. Instead of getting a sashimi pizza for an appetizer I choose avocado salad. Knowing a salad would not be filling I ordered the crispy salmon skin roll. For entree I ordered the unagi don. I'll start with the crispy salmon. A lot of people don't like to eat crispy skin of a fish. I love it. The crispy salmon skin roll is a filling roll due to the sauce, which adds flavor to the rice. Instead of a roll I would like to see crispy skin salmon as an appetizer as it would be similar to a chicharron. Regarding the avocado salad I liked how avocado wasn't skimpy in portion. There's one thing I don't like in salad and that is water. I understand cleaning the lettuce to get rid of the dirt, but the lettuce better be dry instead of water dripping at the bottom on the bowl. I came here for the unagi don. I felt I made a right decision of ordering the unagi don instead of the baked unagi fried rice. With the steamed rice I could taste the eel whereas the fried rice would've overpowered the eel. The unagi don was a filling dish and I believe if I ordered a baked unagi fried rice I would have felt bloated. On this last Friday during Lent I enjoyed my lunch at Toro Sushi Stone Grill and Bar. I liked the sashimi that was served for my mom's birthday party than what I ordered during Good Friday. I can see myself coming here again. Maybe next time I try the stone grill items.

I live in Evergreen and it takes me almost 30 minutes to drive here during dinner time traffic…read more That's how good the food quality is here! It's worth the time and effort for high quality meats; here it's Japanese style meat and bbq aka yakiniku. The service is wonderful too, the owner and staff are always very personable and eager to please each time we visit for the past three years. The place is warm and clean, I appreciate the overhead vents at each table. They are able to confidently accommodate large parties to two person groups. They can get busy and full on the weekends though, so consider making reservations. My friends and I don't gorge on meat as much as we used to, but when we do, Meat Time is high on the rotation due to the high quality meats and cuts, plus Japanese style bbq. We always order the premium selection of the all you can eat menu which is $68/person. You choose the cuts you want and the servers will bring them to you for you to grill at your table. They have extra premium wagyu cuts that are priced ala carte and worth it every time. As someone who just visited Japan a few times this past year, this place is as close as you will get to authentic Japanese wagyu in the greater San Jose/Milpitas area. Hmm the yummy tender fatty melts in your mouth wagyu. There are delicious side dishes and vegetables that come with the ayce, but I don't want to focus your time on them. Taste the delicious heart attack in your mouth. Can you tell I like this place yet? If you like high quality premium meat yakiniku style, you know what time it is?
