NEVER GO HERE! I purchased a 2001 Montero in Nov. 2014. from day one, it was SEVERELY leaking oil, shaking, NO HEAT, emissions coming into the front of the car, severe noises, smoking from the engine, lights coming on and off at random, grinding noise when turning the steering wheel etc., i called Marty on Saturday Nov. 15, 2014 only one day after purchase. He said to call Monday, which I did. I asked for my FULL purchase price back, and he said George, the owner said NO. George Tokarski (owner) NEVER would call me back! Martin(Marty) Gendel only would speak to me. I was told to bring the car in to be looked at SIX different times! When I did bring the car in, I was told they did NOT have time to look at it, and reschedule. The car broke down on route 287 on December 4, 2014. I towed it to Geroge's Automotive. Marty told me that ALL repairs would be made FREE of charge since it was under warranty.They kept the car for 15 days! Everyday when I called they said they were going to look at it soon. I could not get the car and bring it home because it would not start. I rented a car for 15 days. Marty then called me and said it was ready. He said it was only a timing belt! FIFTEEN days for a timing belt?? Also when I picked the car up. I noticed there were no brake lights. They were working when I brought the car in. Marty said they did not have time to fix it and bring it back. I told him it was VERY dangerous to drive, and he said "be careful!!!"I brought the car to THREE independent mechanics. They said the timing belt is old and worn, a new one was NOT put in. They also said to get my money back ASAP! Again I asked for my money back, and was told NO. The car was under a 1 month warranty. Then I brought it to Motor Vehicles for inspection, it failed for emissions! Again, Autobahn sales and Georges Automotive REFUSED to repair the car or give me back my money! I just found out Marty is a convicted felon! He was in prison for defrauding people for buying homes in the amount of $4.5 million. George also states he is a Certified Jeep Technician. I called Chrysler/Jeep Corporate and he is NOT certified with them!! STAY AWAY!! Both Marty and George are scammers!! Both businesses (Georges Automotive AND Autobahn Sales) should be fined and closed down. I would give this company a ZERO not even 1 star! read more
