These guys are great. Easy to deal with, honest, friendly, knowledgeable. I wish every business was as well run and useful as this garage.

Can say enough about how great this shop is. Needed someone to inspect a used Mazda 3 I was…read moreconsidering to buy. I called multiple times for questions and scheduling and spoke to 3 guys as well as Bill the owner. All of them answered the phone professionally and all were familiar w/ who I was. They were accommodating to my schedule and began checking out the car as soon as I got there. No problem w/ me in the garage while they inspected all different things and gave me comments and professional written assessment when complete. John was the primary technician and did a thorough job. What really impressed me is that the shop was mostly young guys, mid 20's. All seemed professional and very respectful. Bill is likely their father's age and seemed to have a real nice business atmosphere. At one point all techs gathered together on another car real quick while Bill reviewed something w/ them and made sure they all understood. A real learning environment and seems like a great mentor to them. Again, great shop and wish I lived nearby so i could bring my car to them all the time. If you live near them, I couldn't imagine any other shop better... Kudos to Bill and his team. Nice business guys.

They were awesome, again. The dealership couldn't diagnose me for 5-10 business days - ie useless for my trip. I dropped in without an appointment after 3 days of driving. Bock took the time to scan my vehicle and I knew right that I could drive with peace of mind. Excellent demeanor. They are passionate about helping. I recommended them to me son in law and he has his van serviced there now too. Old fashioned care and quality service is still alive. Thank you Bock Automotive!

I took my truck in because my engine light came on. They told me that the catalytic converter and…read moreoxygen sensors needed to be replaced. The original estimate was approximately $2900 and the final bill was higher($3070). I missed two days for work due to wrong parts, them not being able to get a bolt off. When I finally got my car back the engine light came on and my transmission was shot. The car never had prior transmission problems at all. When I sent them the info that using heat by the transmission can cause damage they dismissed it. I had to junk the car for $500. The worst car repair experience I ever had. I never took a car to get a major repair like this and had the car run much worse. I will never go back. Buyer beware with these guys.

I initially chose this shop for a snow tire installation because they were able to fit me in…read morequickly and had high-end equipment. This used to be Euro Tire which I used previously for various things with no issues. Unfortunately, what began as a simple service resulted in over $1,000 in damages and a complete lack of accountability. After picking up my car, I discovered the wheel bolts had been severely over-torqued. I returned within 30 min, and a technician confirmed they were stuck, stating he was "uncomfortable" proceeding at closing time. I took the car home and dropped it off the following morning as they said they will take care of it. The next day, multiple lug nuts were stuck which required drilling of the studs to remove them. The shop broke at least 4 lug nuts in half trying to remove them and the 2 wheels were stuck on the car. During the extraction process, the shop drilled through the wheel itself rather than just the studs. Put the wheel back on and said it was all done. I once again checked when I got home and discovered the wheel was drilled into and 2 of 5 lug nuts on one wheel were not holding. This rendered the wheel structurally compromised and unsafe for road use. Despite previously admitting the bolts were over-torqued, the management changed their story once they realized the extent of the damage. When I confronted them about the ruined wheel, they blamed me for the over-torquing--despite the fact that they were the last ones to touch the vehicle. While they refunded the initial labor cost, I am now out approximately $1,000 for a replacement wheel and hardware.

Mavis earned it's stars back this visit. They are one of the best service places in the area if not going top the dealer. The service is good and the work is done right. Well the tires I got are the same from last year. Awesome BFG G forced tires. Like everything else they went up since last year. But they're worth it. Thanks Mavis

I should have left before the car was even brought into the garage. I walked in and the girl at the…read morecounted asked what I came in for. I explained my daughter stopped there earlier to put air in a tire and it was low again within minutes. She immediately said you probably need a new tire. Sight unseen. I said maybe, I dont know, can someone look at it. She said it would be about 15 minutes. Ok not bad, I took a seat. She went into the garage and started screaming at the mechanic like he was a 2 year old drawing with a sharpie on the wall. How unprofessional and mean she was, I was very uncomfortable. Then he brought my car in. A few minutes later she waved me over to come see the nail in the tire, too close to the sidewall to repair. They both kept telling me it was bubbling when they sprayed it but it was not plain water, it was bubbly everywhere. I did see a tiny nail though. So she priced out a new tire but has to order it. I said I would see if someone else had it. Tried calling the Lake Parsippany store but got the call center. Very nice young lady who said there was one about 48 miles away they could get for tomorrow morning, she offered me a decent discount, and I gave her a $25 deposit. I told the girl in the store who promised to call me as soon as it got there so I could come in for them to mount and balance it. I asked her to have the spare put on. She said they were not allowed to put on a"half spare". Whatever that is, I assume she meant donut. I said this is a tire shop are you kidding. She said no, we are not allowed to any more, try Pep boys up the road maybe they can. For real???? Well that was the best advice ever! I called even though I would be passing right by and the manager was just as surprised as I was that they wouldn't do it. He said come right over I will help you, even after I told him I was coming from Mavis. So he asked if I had time for him to put the car on the lift and see where this nail was and why they couldn't patch it. I said please go right ahead. I went over to help them find it easier because I knew what I was looking for and there were no bubbles when they sprayed water on it in fact the manager pulled it out and it wasn't even in the tire it was stuck in the tread it was so tiny. They kept spraying and found a real nail in the middle of the tire. Mavis didn't find it they just wanted to sell me a new tire for $250. Between the incompetence and unprofessionalism and oddity that they couldn't even put a spare on for me, they've lost a customer for life. This was not the only negative experience I've had with that store, but I expected places like that to try and sell you things you don't need I just say no. This was for worse. And they let me drive off with a tire that lost 10 pounds of air within a few minutes of them filling it. Never again. Stay far away!
