I took my truck in because my engine light came on. They told me that the catalytic converter and…read moreoxygen sensors needed to be replaced. The original estimate was approximately $2900 and the final bill was higher($3070). I missed two days for work due to wrong parts, them not being able to get a bolt off. When I finally got my car back the engine light came on and my transmission was shot. The car never had prior transmission problems at all. When I sent them the info that using heat by the transmission can cause damage they dismissed it. I had to junk the car for $500. The worst car repair experience I ever had. I never took a car to get a major repair like this and had the car run much worse. I will never go back. Buyer beware with these guys.

I initially chose this shop for a snow tire installation because they were able to fit me in…read morequickly and had high-end equipment. This used to be Euro Tire which I used previously for various things with no issues. Unfortunately, what began as a simple service resulted in over $1,000 in damages and a complete lack of accountability. After picking up my car, I discovered the wheel bolts had been severely over-torqued. I returned within 30 min, and a technician confirmed they were stuck, stating he was "uncomfortable" proceeding at closing time. I took the car home and dropped it off the following morning as they said they will take care of it. The next day, multiple lug nuts were stuck which required drilling of the studs to remove them. The shop broke at least 4 lug nuts in half trying to remove them and the 2 wheels were stuck on the car. During the extraction process, the shop drilled through the wheel itself rather than just the studs. Put the wheel back on and said it was all done. I once again checked when I got home and discovered the wheel was drilled into and 2 of 5 lug nuts on one wheel were not holding. This rendered the wheel structurally compromised and unsafe for road use. Despite previously admitting the bolts were over-torqued, the management changed their story once they realized the extent of the damage. When I confronted them about the ruined wheel, they blamed me for the over-torquing--despite the fact that they were the last ones to touch the vehicle. While they refunded the initial labor cost, I am now out approximately $1,000 for a replacement wheel and hardware.

They kept my previous car running to almost 300,000 miles... always providing me with options and wise recommendations based on the age of the car and my appetite to keep putting money into it. I'm in a newer car now and I've moved to a different town but still go to Towaco Service for my needs. One time I did not almost ended badly. I broke down and had my car towed to the nearest dealership out of convenience. It took the dealer 2 weeks to diagnose. They claimed I needed a new clutch and transmission. So I towed the car to Joe and he had me back on the road in one day with only a new clutch saving me over $6,000. It's so great supporting the small business owners who deserve the business: 5 stars for Towaco Service Center!

In the last two weeks, I have had two minor, unrelated, issues with my 2013 Honda Civic…read more The first time, my right, rear tire had developed a slow leak. I walked through the front door, told them what the problem was, and they lept into action - I didn't have to set up an appointment three weeks in advance. They quickly found that it was the tire's valve causing the leak. They fixed the problem, and I was on my way within 15 minutes. They only charged $15. The second time, my right front wheel suddenly started making this god awful grinding sound as I was driving to work on a Saturday morning. I had no idea what the problem was. Again, I walked through the front door, and again they lept into action. Turns out a pebble had gotten lodged in the tire's break rotor. Again, they fixed it within minutes, and only charged me $10 this time. I really appreciate the fact that they didn't jack up the price on these repairs, try to sell me a new tire, or make the problem sound like it was worse than it was. Honesty is a rare commodity these days, and I heartily recommend Quality Automotive.
