Jaris Transportation

Jaris Transportation

Jaris Transportation is a literal nightmare. I'm currently a high school student who takes their…read morevans every day, and it is a very poor experience all around. My school is regional, and my particular area does not have many students that go to the school. As a result, the school arranged for a van to take me and another student to take a van. This is where the fun began. Condition of the vans - 1 / 5 The vans in use are in poor condition and are rarely, if ever cleaned. One van I found myself in had unidentifiable yellow streaks all over the ceiling, and the back seat was full of dog hair. Another van reeked on broken pencils. The trunk's bottom was caked in what I could only describe as a mix of rock salt and mud, and every seven or eight seconds, a little buzz can be heard out of a hole in the trunk door pacing the cabin, as if the back windshield wiped mechanism broke, they opened the hatch to fix it, and they never finished the job. A panel hanged off the backs of one of the seats, and it was held up with (and I'm not joking) a cut AUX CORD. All of the vans I've seen have holes in the floor which are covered with nailed on patches of carpet, and the walls and cup holders are so dirty you could probably get an unnamed disease by licking them. Not to mention that they frequently have candy wrappers, and once a little baggie of strange white candy in them. The sides in between the seats are filthy and have more gum than the bottom of a bar. The actual vans frequently have dents in them, probably from accidents the drivers have gotten into. I'll get to the drivers now. Drivers - 1.8 / 5 I have taken Jaris to school for six months, and I have had multiple different drivers, all crappy in their own special way. I cannot talk about specific people as I need to keep a low profile, but I'll do my best to generalize. I have had many instances of late drivers. Obviously, a few minutes late is forgivable. But some days, they have been as much as an hour late getting picked up. To be fair, our school is difficult to find, but it is literally their job to know where to go to pick us up, and I have lost valuable time waiting around at the entrance at my school waiting for a van that i wasn't even sure would end up coming. Many times, the drivers failed to come on time for half days. Occasionally, I have had drivers come to my house twenty minutes early and honk expecting me to come out ready to go, which is a pretty bad thing when you typically time yourself to wake half an hour before they come so you have enough time to get ready. In the past, I have had my drivers make reckless turns, speed, get into near collisions, and many other altercations. Some drivers take their friends with them. Yes. I will get into a van and there will be another person sitting with the driver in the front. If I'm lucky, they'll be introduced as their friend or brother or something. They'll be chatting away with them in Spanish or Portuguese, and be showing them memes at the stoplights. They clearly aren't there to work and I'm sure I've seen a few who don't even speak English. Speaking of that, I forgot to mention that they are all of Hispanic origin, which wouldn't be a problem if they didn't blast salsa music at six in the morning when their riders are trying to sleep. You know Muchos Hornos from Family Guy? That's a great example of this stuff. It's interesting how unwanted salsa music is significantly louder than any other genre of unwanted music. I have brought earplugs onto the van just to try to cope, but the new drivers are cranking it even louder. Their friends are usually the ones to start it, and I fear trying to ask them to turn it down enough for me to sleep because I don't think they speak English. At least we usually arrive on time, which is why this isn't a 1 / 5. Service - 1 / 5 The company has no website. They always put you on hold when you call, as if only one person is running the phone, and there is virtually no information about them anywhere. Stay away at all costs.

scary I had this van #49 parked outside my home and the driver was rude and wouldn't move the van…read more I asked why they were parked outside my home and she wouldn't respond. I only asked because I had a team of contractors arriving and needed the space. Im astonished that they drive children I thought it was a messenger company. I would not trust them with at all.
