So I went during my lunch break and was in and out in less than 20 minutes. My other half seems to have been dealing with scammers to have his car inspected over the summer, so I also brought him here. They were super busy, and we were still out in about 35 minutes. Yesterday I went there for my yearly inspection immediately after school arriving around 2:50 and was well on my way before 3:30. The lady that answered the phone was very friendly and said they were open and that it was a "first come,first serve" basis and to get on over. They treat every customer terribly & don't care about how long you wait. The manager was dismissive and said it's not his problem that they're busy. The lady @ the desk literally didn't talk to me for 20 min even though I asked her a question. They made me wait 3 hours for an insurance inspection -- something that takes 10 min to do. I didn't even up getting it done because Geico found me Blue Star Brothers in Glendale that did it within 5 minutes of me arriving. Go there if you can. So nice and quick service. AVOID this place. My car was hit while parked and the whole driver's side was damaged including my rear tire. The police called for a tow and that's when I met Edgar from Grand Auto Repair. He said they would deal with the insurance for me. When I found out he wasn't a GEICO authorized shop, I was going to have it towed to another shop. Edgar offered to help me get a rental, but I wasn't covered under my policy so he offered to deliver my car when repaired if I left it with him. The insurance took a while to get an adjuster to check, but once that was done, the repairs were completed when promised. Slight problem after he delivered my car, but when I took it back, the repairs were done. Edgar returned my car to me even before he got paid by the insurance! He could've held on to my car, but he knew I was without a means of transportation. My family will go back to him even though it's not the closest shop. read more

Not only does my van perform fantastic, but they were able to get it all done faster than I could have expected. Update! Scammer! Lied and told me they're a Geico affiliate. I believed them because Geico did refer me there for a state inspection. They left my car UNSAFE! Did not repair as Geico instructed. In addition to poor quality work (over spray, unmatched paint, uneven panels, poor details such as uneven and asymmetrical work), they did not replace the most critical piece - the impact bar. Why? Because I couldn't see it and there would be no way for me to know about this without disassembling the car and undoing the rest of the body work they completed. Extremely sketchy, totally scummy, scammers! Do not visit this shop with any vehicle. I had brought my motorcycle here twice for an inspection. The first time, I had an aftermarket exhaust. He was going to fail me unless I paid $50. I came back a week later with the stock exhaust. The guy doesn't recognize me. He takes out a sound meter to check the decibels (literally no other inspection station does this with the SLEEP Act). There was another unfortunate motorcyclist with a clearly stock exhaust also getting the runaround. He claims we're both way over on the limit. As I pull away, he whispers that he can "give it a shot" for $50 and pass me. What a total trap, and a total douchebag. I almost immediately took my bike to a reputable motorcycle-dedicated joint (New York Honda Yamaha in LIC) and they passed me with flying colors. They asked about the stock exhaust, turned the bike on, checked what they needed to check, didn't pull out a bullsh*t sound meter, and sent me on my way with new stickers and $6 short in cash. Screw these guys - they want to pocket $44? - they can lick my boots. Think twice about bringing your CAR here. They are definitely scamming you in one way or another. So many illegally parked cars out front in such an unorganized way that we had no where to park so we pull up to the corner and the man who works there yells at us even though it's their fault they aren't directing traffic outside their business, literally pushing all the cars on the street into one lane even though they could take 2 minutes to reorganize and not take up any of the street space. After I said I'm going to pull around so I can park where he wants me to he yells at me that I can't go up the wrong way of a one way street... Which I am well aware of. They charged my card $100 for an inspection that I failed because the computer said 2 monitors are not ready. Then when I question Edgar he became irate. Very unprofessional CROOKS!! These guys are great, even if getting in feels a little ragtag because you can't just make an appointment and the parking around the place is a little hard to find.
