I went there in the hopes that I would get a descent job done. When I got the car back there was nothing but obvious issues everywhere. I went back with a few of them. They were somewhat fixed. And evertime I would get the same verbal speech:" if you see any more problems bring it back". Well why should I see the problems. are they not the experts with an eye for these issues. bottom line I was very disappointed and I will not go back there nor refer anyone else. since then I had my car observed by another shop and they showed me an additional 5 spots where the paint was thin and hence the colour was not uniform under the clear. I spent a good amount of money and now I have to take the car to another shop and have them strip the car to metal and do it properly. I was extremely disappointed. it's like an amateur painted my car not a professional. read more

My car had a dent right under the glass of my trunk, had little dents on my back bumper. Called, spoke to John, asked if he is able to see and fix my car. He informed me the day and time available, John assess my car, he provided me with all the scenarios of what could happen. They were able to fix my car in no time, came to pick up my car and it looked brand new, they even fix the dents on my back bumper. Bonus they washed my car :) .... I have had a few repairs done to my cars over the years, always by John at George's auto body. He seems to be the only person working there, but I could be wrong. In any case, this is a guy who cares about quality and detail, and he does a top-notch job. After having someone reverse into my door and not leave a note, John told me the only way to fix it, would be to replace the door entirely. He replaced the exterior shell, but kept the interior of our own door so that everything would match. When he was done, you would have no idea that a door had been replaced. It blends perfectly with the rest of the car, and every detail is perfect. His prices are very fair. In fact, my husband got a quote from a friend's auto body, and even the "friend rate" was not as favourable as John's rates. On our most recent repair job, John threw in a few bonuses for free - using the leftover paint to touch up edges of doors and a scratch on our bumper. The garage is a bit out of the way for me, since we live in the West end, but it's worth the drive to that end of town. Conveniently, there is a GO station right across the street, and Kennedy subway station is a short bus ride away too. read more

This auto repair shop is top notch and great value. The main guy that runs it is Mike, a ol school guy that isn't there to try to rip you off, or say things are going to be difficult, etc. Will tell you how it is, and will give you a quote. I've been there on several Occasions. First, for our 97 Corolla. On the Pillar (rear), there is a huge rusted section. We went to another shop on Kennedy Rd due to someone's recommendation. The quote was $475. When we went there, it was about $100. Another time, I had a pretty big dent.. he pulled it out and smoothed it out (not perfectly as I just wanted it pull... and this is a old hunk of American steel... $50) Finally, some lady hit us in the parking lot back out. Dents and scratches to the front passenger door and fender. About $350!! Not this minimum $1000 stuff. Quality work too. Another referral was extremely pleased too, as a repair job was about $200. Since I lived close by before, he even gave me a ride home one time (I arrived there by Bike.. he was like 'why did you call me, I would have picked you up'). Hopefully he stays there awhile. read more

I recently had some work done here after a stupid accident I had on Christmas. I was bummed out for a few days and wanted to get my car looking new again. Basically, I went to George's and I was very satisfied with every aspect of service. Here's more detail below. I did shop around 3 other places for quotes first, but ultimately decided to go with George's Auto Body for several reasons: 1. Consistently good reviews on yelp 2. Very fair price compared to the other quotes 3. John's great customer service. He assured me that the paint they used was the best and explained to me about the cooking process of the paint which was key. 4. John guarantees a job well done 5. John's been doing this since 1980 or 1985 (I forget the year he said but either way he's got enough experience) After the job was done I had to give him a great review for delivering everything. Here's what he did: - Not only did the job look really good (you won't notice it's been repaired), he also fixed up 2 other minor scratches I asked him to do without extra charge. The car was all cleaned up too. - He got the job done a day in advance - Before I left he again assured me that satisfaction is guaranteed and said to bring the car back if there's something wrong - John also gave me a few tips on maintainance tips (example: it's a good idea to wax your car in the Spring time every year to keep the car looking new) read more

Excellent experience with John, solid inspection and estimate following a rear-ender, work was completed as planned and as others have noted, John always goes above and beyond! Rear bumper was replaced with a manufacturer bumper, paint colour was matched perfectly. Car was washed and vacuumed as well. I discovered George's auto body from yelp, and based on the praises in the reviews I decided to give this body shop a try. I was not disappointed! I dealt with John, the manager of the shop, who made my experience a very pleasant one. Like another reviewer, I come from the west end, so it is a bit out of the way for me. However this auto body shop is worth the trip! --- Praises: 1) Great quality work: From initial inspection the work seems to be very well done. John explained that they took the time to remove panels and paint them completely rather than masking off areas (which some other body shops may tend to do). Color matching and the finish is great. Note that I can be fairly picky with the maintenance and appearance of my car - it is more than 10 years old, but many say it still looks and feels like new. 2) Low cost: price quoted was significantly lower than other body shops (almost 2/3 to 1/2 of the price of other places that I got quotes from!) 3) The work was done in a timely manner: I dropped off my car in the morning and it was ready by early afternoon the next day. 4) Quality assurance: John told me if there was any issues with the paint such as chipping or peeling, I should contact him right away and they would fix it 5) Great customer service: John was accommodating to my schedule and ensured to have the car ready for me when I needed to pick it up, even though he had numerous other cars in the shop 6) Convenient location: There is a GO station right across the street, and the Warden subway station is only a 5 minute bus ride away which makes it convenient to leave one's car there while going to work via TTC --- Conclusion: I've had auto body repairs done on my car from numerous body shops in the past; from both low price range shops, and high price range shops (including ones recommended by my car's manufacturer). George's auto body seems to offer the same quality as the high price body shops, but with the personal touch that comes from a small business, great customer service, significantly lower price, and quick service! read more

Excellent work done on my Car! I had to repair a huge dent and scratches on driver's side door and also wanted to replace the side mirror. John took time to see the damage and gave me the best quote (compared to 2 other body shops and a dealer) which was a fraction of what the dealer quoted. He also found a used mirror (in very good condition) and re-finished it to perfection to further bring the cost down. My car was ready to be picked up in 2 days. Since the colour is metallic gray it was a bit tricky to blend it with the rear door panel. He requested that i leave the car for 1 extra day so that he can blend both the front and rear panels at No extra cost so that he can be completely satisfied with the work. He takes pride in his work and treats all his customers cars like his own! He also asked me to come back anytime if i am not happy with anything he had done on the car. When i returned home with the car, my friends were amazed to see the results and they thought it was a brand new car out of the showroom because the car was washed and prepared professionally for the pick up! went to george for a pillar rust repair which also had to replace the pillar tape and a scratch on the left side front bumper. was expecting a fantastic job but was quite not up to par.the pillar tape had bubbles and not applied to the utmost care and the paint matching was not at best. don't have time to get it re fix as can't simply take another days off read more

I scratched the right side of my acura ILX 2013 coming out of the parking garage. I scratched the rear passenger door that extended to the rear part of the car. A while ago, I wen to another body shop to get a quote on a tiny scratch on the rear bumper against a fence when backing in parking and a small scratch on the driver side mirror that I scratch against a wall. I got a quote for $350. Long story short I never got the repairs done there. When I scratched the car car recently, It was a major scratch with some dents. Anyways I was nervous about the price and the finish. This is my first car and I don't know any body shops so I did a search on google for "Body shop reviews toronto" I saw George's body shop with the most reviews. I Took my car there and I have to say. I LOOKS BETTER THAN NEW. I can't believe how nice it looks. I have the pearls white with that shiny clear coat finish on it which apparently makes it very expensive.
