Per Ciara $129.00 for service call (to diagnostic) when I asked about is the company charge by hourly or flat rate. Ciara said it flat rate depend on the job. Appointment set for Friday 3/6/2026 @9:00am. The electrician Justin showed up at 8:00am. I was surprise but ok with it. When I asked again about the rate. Justin said $129.00 for 15' diagnostic and then $93.00 per 1/2 hour. I told him that not what I understand from Ciara. Since he said that it's what the company charge. Because he is already here. I decided to go with the company. Justin did a great job to remove the old fixtures and installed the new lights (which I provided the material) He quote me $583.30 (include some discount) +$129.00. Total $712.30. He did this for less than 1 hour and 30'. My complaint is that why did he charged me so much. Seems like a excessive charged for 2 installed light fixtures and less than 2 hours. No matter how you look either flat rate or hourly rate. It was too expenses. I would never use this company again. Here is the summary of this review *Service request: 3 stars (due to not upfront with the cost flat rate vs. hourly rate *Quality -4 1/2 stars (Justin is good electrician) *Value -2 1/2 stars KB

Steve spent a good deal of time on the phone with me trying to determine the best options for my situation (tight space, tile on walls and floor). Justin arrived first thing the next morning to provide an estimate which was reasonable, and within 1 hour the outlet was installed. Couldn't be happier.

From the moment I booked the appointment, the communication was clear, friendly, and everything ran like clockwork. Technician Dane Shepherd arrived right on time with his a friendly smile and a handshake that immediately put me at ease. As a former service electronics technician myself, I truly appreciated watching a pro at work. Dane thoroughly diagnosed my HVAC system - testing the 24VAC to the gas valve, checking ohm resistance on the high-limit switch, flame sensor and inspecting the HSI igniter, measuring air/heat ratios, and verified the in the house heat vents blowing 112F of air. Along with a long list of additional tests. His attention to detail and systematic approach were outstanding. Dane was not only highly skilled but also polite, patient, and happy to explain what he was doing every step of the way. The work was completed perfectly, and my system is running smooth and better. Revival Heating & Cooling has earned me a customer for life. If you want honest, knowledgeable, and top-tier service from a company that truly cares, look no further. I highly recommend them - and ask for Dane if you can!

While Dane was wonderful in replacing our water heater's anode rod, it was quite bothersome that we…read morehad to pay $250 to have it replaced on a part covered under warranty. The water heater was installed 2 1/2 years ago by Rivival Heating and the anode rod needed to be replaced because "Portland water is so hard and full of minerals". The original quote for labor alone (not covered under warranty) was $340 but we got the manager to bring it down to $250. Still, the water heater is only 2 1/2 years old and that was an expense we did not anticipate when we bought the water heater. The prior one was not broken but when we had Rivival replace our furnace, they strongly suggested replacing the water heater at the same time. The old one never produced brown water but after just two years, the new one did. Maybe the water heater wasn't as good as the previous one? Not sure... Forgot to add, my home warranty service said they could not reimburse me because this is a "warranty issue". And to be truthful, the furnace job was great! Just wish the water heater repair didn't cost me anything. Next year, when it is out of warranty, I'll be able to file for reimbursement from my home warranty provider.
