Billy Buckhannon came out 3 times last Winter to work on my furnace - the last time in March 2022…read more I only use my furnace when it's very cold as I have a gas fireplace. I turned on my furnace this year and it didn't work - again. So I called another company to look at my furnace this time. I was told that the ignitor put in last March was the wrong voltage - that it was an 80V instead of 120V. After doing some research I discovered that the 120V was the correct voltage because the furnace's board was replaced (by Billy) in December; otherwise the 80V would have been correct. Seemed like an honest mistake, so I called Billy to ask him to install the correct part. Instead of apologizing for installing the wrong part, he took no responsibility for the error. He said it was an honest mistake that he was given the wrong part. I agreed, but explained that I shouldn't have to pay for the same service again because he installed the wrong part and that he should make it right. By this time, he was SHOUTING at me over the phone that it wasn't his fault and that it was over the 30 day labor warranty. He was yelling at me and acting as though I was being unreasonable by asking him to install the correct part. He finally yelled that if it would "appease" me, I could send him the bill for the labor for the repairs and he would reimburse me for the labor. That I could send the wrong part that he installed back to the parts company as it was under warranty. By this time I told him I didn't like how he was speaking to me and hung up. It is inconceivable to me that an HVAC professional would install the wrong part and then become angry when asked to correct his mistake. I would recommend that you use another company if you need HVAC work and ensure that they stand by their work. People make mistakes, we all do, but how you react in those instances is a matter of character. Billy reacted poorly.

I think this speaks volumes about the company. They closed my claim without finishing the repair or my knowledge. The service call record (as in the email below) indicates they looked at my right oven (I have a double oven), but it was the left oven with the issue. I was present when the service tech was there. He quickly diagnosed the issue (I believe he said it was a faulty ignition pan that was firing to early, and said he would need to order a new one). The truth is that this company has trouble following through with service calls. They've wasted enough of my time with Pro-serve, but I suggest you never let them start wasting yours. Below is a copy of our records regarding our last visit to your home: **10/30 BM out-Went to home spoke w/ customer about gas smell. Found gas smell to be in right oven. BM found igniter works, it just takes about 15 to 20 seconds to ignite burner. No gas leak and oven works within specs. No deductible, no repairs needed at this time. If there are problems with the oven at this time, the procedure is to place a work order with your home warranty; and they will assign us or another company to diagnose the unit under warranty. Regarding parts being ordered that would be up to your warranty company in this case. We suggest you contact them for coverage inquiries. Our technician communicates findings to them, and they are responsible for discussing their options with you. I apologize if this is the case and recommend contacting them to inquire about your coverage and/or place a work order for the stove issue. At this time, in our end, this claim is closed with American Home Shield; if you would like a technician to inspect, diagnose and orders parts for this repair without a work order from your home warranty company, you would be responsible for any repair parts & labor charges. We came to the conclusion that upgrading wouldn't be worth it. A heat pump would require a new electrical panel, there were no incentives as I'm propane & not electric, and the duct work is not set up for AC. I wasn't pressured or upsold to a system that would be of no benefit to me but would have made them a tidy profit. We did however, decide that my 25 year old furnace was on it's last legs & needed to be replaced. An appropriate sized unit was chosen. The installers arrived on Monday and finished it in one day. There was a glitch in the exhaust plumbing that was discovered a few days later. I called and since it was late in the day, said that tomorrow would be OK. A technician was there in an hour. He called the office and told them it would take a couple of hours to fix. Once again, I said tomorrow would be OK as we have wood heat too. He got it all fixed then had to run off to another call. The thermostat wasn't working right and they sent someone all the way out to reprogram it. I couldn't ask for better service. Maybe I could have gotten a better price, I didn't check but for what they've done it was worth what I paid. Good solid company after the sale.

It went out our first winter and they sent someone over and were able to do a quick fix but said that likely a part is bad and needs to be replaced, but they never replaced it, and hung up on us multiple times when trying to get them to fix the underlying issue. The next year the same thing happened and furnace went out in the middle of winter and they did the same quick fix but refused to fix the underlying issue. We are now on year 4 and each year the same thing happens and the furnace goes out. This year they just asked me to call another HVAC company to fix their underlying problem. What? At this point that's what I'm doing because I'm tired of fighting with Ted to come out and fix the underlying issue and our heater going out every single year. Yes, they are cheaper than other companies, but with such poor quality product and work.. it's not worth it.

We spent so much time trying to fix a roof leak that Willamette said was caused by the roofers that installed Curbs and roofed around HVAC units that Willamette installed. Roofers continued to try and find leaks. They spent many days hours trying to fix the issue. On the last trip out they sent a new guy that inspected the two HVAC units that were installed by Willamette HVAC. He should me screws and bolts missing from lower pan areas and holes where he said water was getting in to the building. I had him seal all holes in units. Then called Willamette to show them where it had been leaking for all this time. They said they could re-seal it. and gave us a quote to do it. Never did any actual work. But we received a bill.... It had already been re-sealed by the roofers...They should have fixed this when we called them on it the first time. They would just blame the roofers. The issue was from day one and they would not take responsibility for their mistake. Do not waste your time with them.

It was early August with a week of 100degree temps coming and Nick stayed until 7PM on a Friday night to get the unit running before the weekend. He came back in his Saturday and stayed until 9PM to finish the installation, clean-up, and set up the new thermostat. Running electrical from the panel to the unit was difficult in my home and Nick literally crawled into a space I did not believe anyone could've fit and he got it done. To top of off, I called around and was looking at 3-4 weeks out on an air conditioning unit and he got me a top of the line 3.5 ton Trane unit in 3 days. These guys installed cooling at my previous home as well. Highly recommend.
