The kitchen countertops and the shower/tub of our rental are both UNRECOGNIZABLE!! To say "THESE GUYS DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB" would be an understatement. I found Genesis Reglazing on Craigslist and after speaking with the owner, Estuardo, I was confident I had found a good company. Although I didn't have any 5-Star reviews to go by, my gut told me I was in good hands so I thought I would take a chance on these guys. I'm so glad I did! I had called around and spoken with three other reglazing services and I was horrified by some of the conversations I had. I run the other way when the prices are unusually low. Anybody with a brain knows what kind of result they'll get if someone quotes them a couple hundred bucks and tells them they use a roller and to "expect some orange peel and fish eye in the finish" because "it's very normal" with reglazing. Hire them!! I have been wanting to redo my bathroom forever, and I wish I had done this years ago now! Joel came over to my house about a week ago to give me an estimate. After the appointment, I felt I was going to hire him. He was very knowledgeable and forthcoming, showed me samples and overall just a pleasant person. I wanted to get a second estimate though just to do my due diligence as I had never reglazed anything before! The other company gave me an over the phone estimate and was kinda rude. She didn't offer to come to my house, show me samples or even ask for pictures so she could see my bathroom. That just solidified my decision to go with Genesis. I called them right away to set up an appointment and spoke with Estuardo. He set up an appointment for me very quickly. I was a little nervous because I've never reglazed anything before so I asked quite a few questions. They were very patient with me and set my mind at ease. Do not use this guy, Eduardo is a total flake. I called him for over a month and he just strung me aking and never did show up to give me an estimate, show me a sample and even return a call. I finally asked him why do you own a sink business if you do these types of things, he stuttered "I am busy." I told him that is acceptable but returning a call, showing up with a sample, or common courtesy of letting me know up front would be appreciated. He changed the subject about driving to downtown LA that day. He is scatter brained. I discussed this with a colleague of mine who is a contractor who knew him and confirmed thats par for the course for him. Said he could take MONTHS to do it and gave heard that from several others, as well. Sad.
