I called ahead of time to specifically schedule with someone who can do clean designs. What I received in the end was not even close to what I showed the nail tech. She failed to ask me for approval before moving on to next steps throughout the set, causing me to ask her to correct her mistakes. She made it obvious she was not fond of being corrected. The design was a simple black French tip with a white line through the middle of the black polish. The finished nails were over layered, bulky, & sloppy. When I told the person in charge about my experience & showed proof, I was given attitude as if I was wrong for not liking the job on my nails & told I have to still pay for the set minus the design. I was not given any comforting solutions. It was a lot of shoulder shrugs and head shakes as if nothing can be done for me. The associate working on my feet did not even know how to create a French tip design. Come to find out that person is the only associate in the salon who is able to do acrylic nails. I did have the polish removed. I arrived at 12:50pm & do not leave until 6pm. I'm not understanding how a nail salon hires technicians who are unable to perform what should be basic skills for the job. It's not fair that I walk into a salon expecting associates to know how to do the job I am paying them to do & I get the short end b/c they are under qualified. This salon is very out dated- associates do not understand much English at all to communicate effectively, no refreshments are offered, under qualified nail technicians !, mediocre customer service over all. The least the salon could do is educate the staff on the basic as well as some advanced skills or hire people who can actually do a good job. 0/10 I do not recommend anyone to visit the establishment. If I could give 0 stars I would. I was sent out the door with my nails looking like a 5 year old was playing makeover on my nails, I had to go back inside to demand something be done. read more

I walked in without an appointment and it was fairly busy, not a problem. Was told it may be over 30 minutes so I took a seat and doing work emails on my phone. They proceeded to PSSSST me to go to the pedicure chair which had an audible reaction from other patrons. I had to grab my own side table and set everything up for the chair by myThe water was boiling hot but then things seemed to be normal. During the pedicure, the woman (not the PSST one) proceeded to flick the brush into the water then flick my foot to follow accordingly. The staff seemed absolutely miserable, though there was a younger woman working who knew her patron well and was extremely pleasant and accommodating so it seems to only be certain staff. This nail salon is top quality and notch! I got spa pedicure and the massage and it was really wonderful- they used lavender scented products that are specialized and had individual packets. Also the massage was strong and very good quality not just rubbing your legs. I also got an eyebrow wax and she was professional and didn't hurt at all. I don't know why the ratings are so low bc it's one of the best nail salons in the area and would highly recommend! read more

I had these done last night. The people that worked there were very nice and accommodating. My pedicure looks ok. But the manicure is not up to standard for a paid service. I asked the nail tech to fix one of the nails that had a bubble in it after it was painted. And she did but the coat is uneven. I knew it wasn't going to get any better. I didn't have the time to ask them to start from scratch. I called for a refund which I never would normally do but it looks so bad I felt like it was a waste of time and money. No refund but they'll redo the manicure. Unfortunately I have no confidence in their ability and would rather just go somewhere else if I'm going to take the time to get them done. read more

The only reason why this place is getting 2 stars from me is because their Pedicure staff gives amazing foot massages. I also received a pedicure and my French manicure looked amazing. I would recommend anyone who is on their feet all day to come here for strictly that only. Unfortunately, my experience with my manicure is the total opposite. I've been getting dip-powder sets for about 8 months and it has made my natural nails grow strong and long. I've never had issues with the other salons that i do to regularly. I was desperate and in the area so a friend and I called Genesis to see if they had any openings and they told us to come right in - no wait. That was a lie. My friend waited over an hour and in total for both a manicure/pedicure we left over 3 hours after arriving. Not only were they not efficient with their timing, but the color i picked for my nails looked nothing like what the actual powder was. They gave me attitude when i addressed this. They also were limited on their colors so i didn't have much to chose from afterwards. Fast forward two weeks later and i have two nails already broken. This has never happened to me and I'm not sure if it has to do with their work but i will not be coming back here. read more

After the initial discomfort of feeling silly, I found a lovely purple color that I wanted. She directed me to a woman who gave me a manicure and painted my nails. All together it was $15. My cuticles did bleed a little but not because she did not soak for long enough. I'm fairly sure it's because I don't take care of my fingernails and cuticles well. I got a regular mani/pedi and was thrilled with the entire experience. Due to covid they take your temperature upon arrival and then have you wash your hands. Then you fill out a contact tracing form and can pick your color from there. At both the pedicure and manicure chairs they had plexiglass up, and everyone was wearing masks. I was there in the morning so there wasn't a ton of other people there, but those who were there were spaced out nicely. That being said - when I want to look my most groomed, genesis is where I go. The gel manicures are fantastic. The first one I got lasted 3 weeks! The free pedicure that I WON on my first visit lasted even longer. Went back a month later for a lighter color - not sure if it was the polish, the girl who did it, or just poor luck but this manicure lasted "only" 10 days. Heading back today to get my nails re-done by the same girl with the same dark polish and I have high hopes. I came here for a manicure and pedicure first and had a great experience! I thought both technicians were wonderful. I loved my nails. And they lasted a long time. I did regular polish on the toes and gel manicure. I was impressed the first time so I came back about a month later for some waxing. I did full legs and Brazilian. I did my nails not one week ago. Dip for my nails usually lasts at LEAST 3 weeks. They were cracking at the base like it had been a month after five days. NOT going back. Went back to get a gel manicure thinking it was a one off, but instead left looking like I painted my own nails. Wow I just went for a mani/pedi and this place is amazing. I literally never write yelp reviews but like the pedicure alone.... She massaged my legs for a long ass time using 2 hot stones in the process...scrubbed ALL of the calluses of my feet (I haven't gotten a pedicure since 10th grade and im 26 so yea it was a lot) and did a great job with the polish. Then my gel manicure was great as well. And I only needed to call ahead like 20 min and I got in there same day. The ladies there work so hard and were so nice and easy to talk to. Do not go here if you get acrylics. Nearly two hours to get a full set put on and it is thick, uneven and just all around bad. The nails don't curve to match an actual nail shape at all, I asked for coffin and I got something between square and round with dull uneven edges. The gel polish on top was poorly done and to top it off the older woman doing my nails was rude. Constantly jerking my hands to hold them in weird positions, I have been getting acrylics for 5 years from various places and have never dealt with anything like this. To make matters worse it was $70. Please do yourself a favor and go to Sarana up the street, full set on in an hour tops for less than $50 and you get thin sharp beautiful nails. 2 stars because they have a great color selection here.
