It's open on Sunday yayyyy! I had an appointment for 3pm and I arrived early. Well Amy was great most of the ladies are but today my nails wouldn't dry because I got regular polish. Typically I get dip powders or gel. I decided I need a break. Anyhoo Amy re polished my nails and they still wouldn't dry. I asked for quick dry spray which they accommodated. Unfortunately it still wasn't dry. Next time I'll tip before I leave. Also, I was told why didn't I get dip powder like I normally do. I know it wasn't meant maliciously BUT it's my money. I was shocked I've been coming here for years and I'm really disappointed. They had me sit to have the nails re polished after the quick dry spray but I just walked out. I'm not waiting any more. It's 6:30 pm Yes I was in the nail salon for 3.5 hours for a gel pedicure and regular polish manicure. I think I deserve a discount. Don't you... read more

I've gone back three times now and it's always great! Staff are so skilled. Place is cute. I've gotten four gel manicures in a row now! Pricing, in my opinion, is very good -- $40 for gel manicure and an extra $5 if there's previous polish/gel to remove. read more

If you are considering coming here, I absolutely recommend this place. This is the place to go. I can't recommend them enough! I've been coming here for over a year now, and the experience has been consistently amazing. The customer service is always phenomenal. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cares about making sure you leave happy. The quality of the nails is unmatched. They use high-quality products, and their attention to detail is incredible. I've tried everything from simple gel acrylics to trendy nail designs and now have tried the Gel X, and they always exceed my expectations. I won't be showing free toes, but can attest to gorgeous pedicures as well. They are more than accommodating. The salon itself is clean, comfortable, and relaxing, making the entire visit enjoyable from start to finish and they also offer refreshments. read more

Nails were okay, asked for regular nail polish. The polish is already smudging 20 minutes after service. My issue lies with one of the technicians (has short brown hair), Lan Chen, who kept harassing me during the appointment. She was constantly harassing me for a tip during the appointment. Before she applied the nail polish, she asked for payment and tip. I paid for the service and she asked for me to tip later via Venmo. I did tip in order for her to back off but the persistence for a tip throughout the entire session ruined the experience for me. read more

I came in for a Dazzle Dry manicure. My experience at the salon was fine, but I was very disappointed when two days later all of the polish peeled off. This has not happened to me before and I regularly get this service at other salons. I would never get Dazzle Dry here again. read more

If you are looking for quality.... This is your spot! The family oriented vibe of this place is unmatched. The work is top notch! I've been coming here for years and never once have I had a bad experience. Ariel's dip set with extension work is pristine perfection. Her Mother gives a fabulous pedicure as well! Today I had a pedicure, along with my usual dip set. As someone who works on their feet all day, her strong hands were much appreciated. She was tedious in her steps, and super thorough! This was insane. Had an appt for 2:00. Hands not touched until 2:30. Had a hard cut off at 3:30 to go home to get ready for an event. The girl next to me has her fingers in foil for 45 minutes. Told the manicurist I wanted gunmetal chrome French tips. Pushed my cuticles back incredibly painfully. Took an hour globbing on incredibly thick chunky acrylic powder. Shaving it off to make it not so insanely crazy thick huge chunky fingernails took what felt like forever. The manicurist then proceeded to tell me that french nail painting (80% less polish) would be $25 more. And $20 more for chrome (which is a .00001 gram of a glitter product) that takes less than two minutes of applying. She had no idea what she was doing at all. I know I have thick larger nail beds but this hot take on a mani was not it. They cut my cuticles and made them bleed. My nails look like disgusting gross globby thick chunky nasty trashy rave chick nails. And I'll be stuck with them for three weeks! read more

My daughter and I have had three appointments here so far, gel manicures and pedicure. This nail salon is by far the best of the many we've tried. We love the clean, wrapped packet of tools that is used for each manicure. The estheticians make sure each nail is perfectly clean, cuticles trimmed, nails filed and shaped before the polish is carefully applied. They are gentle, too, never painfully twisting my arthritic hands. My daughter requested a design based on a photo she brought and the esthetician recognized it as a magnetic design which she artfully applied. It was amazing! Highly recommend. read more

This place is my fave:) it is so clean, speedy, they always take me at a reasonable time, make sure I love my color, and everyone is nice. They also give great massages. I get gel and it lasts so long (a month, $40, and RARELY chips!) been going here for over a year read more

Needed something to do while my pup at the groomer and a pedicure sounded like a great idea. My first experience at LA Nail Bar, was great ! I called in to make an appointment a day before, and received my desired time without any issue. [scheduled appt - Friday at 10:45] I scheduled a gel pedicure, and I decided to upgrade my services by getting the vegan spa pedicure ($50), gel ($20). This pedicure included a sugar scrub, a leg masque, heel paraffin, stone and a 15 min massage. My nail tech worked wonders on my big toes that broke! I was sure if they'd have to use a silk wrap treatment, but she shaped them well enough where a cut/file is all I needed. Her name was Kiki Clean environment, skilled techs and good paint color selection read more

I don't think I've ever left a bad review on Yelp. I'm usually singing the praises for most of the goods and services I've received, so...this is highly unusual. After just 9 days, my dip manicure started chipping and it's gotten worse and worse. I also did not have time to get it fixed right away. I am wary of going back there to get them to fix it, since I have had many dip manicures at other salons that lasted over three weeks without incident. I found it odd that they didn't use UV light to dry the layers. My daughter was there with me at the same time getting a pedicure and felt it was overpriced for the level of service. I will not go back there and cannot recommend this salon. read more

I try to do my nails at home since it is so pricey but once in awhile I splurge on professional mani because they look so nice and last so long. I came in as a walk in for dip and the nail tech really rushed on my nails - you can see the results are very bumpy, not filed to be uniform and not smoothe. They look terrible and there's dip powder residue around the nail bed. She accidentally smudged the thumb twice (this does happen) and struggled to set the thumb because she was really rushing checking before it was dry.. then finally just used gel for the nail since it wasn't drying fast enough. It still has a dent in it. I ultimately just left after she struggled with the one nail.. i think she would've done a better job if she didn't rush so much. I absolutely hate to waste alll that money when I want to immediately remove the polish when I get home. Considering asking for a re-do. I've never had to ask for that before read more

Three weeks later and my nails didn't break! Went to get them done yesterday, but unfortunately wasn't able to see Arielle again due to time conflicts. While still a decent dip powder manicure, I wasn't as happy with it this time (blue nails). I tried to capture it in the picture, but it's almost like there's dust/powder stuck under the top coat. Will see how these hold up over the next few weeks. read more

I don't live in Philadelphia anymore, so it was hard to find a nail salon to be comfortable with. I read some reviews about LA nail bar and decided to make a go of it. I'm extremely fussy and I really can't say enough good things about this shop. Jason was A+++ in his skill and kindness. I wish I could bring them home to Phoenix with me. Really the best Dip manicure I've ever had. Thank you again! read more

This definitely used to be my go to spot, but the last few times i've been there, I've been so disappointed. Their prices seem to keep going up & then they advertise one price but charge a higher price (I've never seen where gel/dip removal wasn't included when getting the same service). They've also stopped trimming cuticles the past few times as well, so my edges look so sloppy within days of the service. I hoped maybe it was just how one person did it, so gave them another chance since I've used them consistently for so long, but it seems to be the new norm. This has been my go to spot for years and I never had issues like this so I'm just so sad how things have turned recently. read more

Went in for a pick me up because life has been rough recently. My acrylic full set was done improperly--the nails are at a very high angle, there is no apex to the nails, and some of the tips are very lumpy and thick. Was the furthest thing from relaxing and was honesty stressful and a little painful. Having to pay another salon to remove these within 24 hours, feels really bad. read more

I've been going to this nail salon for a few years and unfortunately I've made the tough decision to go elsewhere. I had an appointment for 5:45 and they made me wait over an hour before anyone began working on my nails. They were clearly overbooked and I would've been fine with coming later if they were honest about what times were available. No one apologized to me or offered any sort of discount for making me wait. Not only that, but the last 3 times I've gotten my nails done here, the polish began chipping about 5 days after and I've been getting a gel manicure. My lifestyle hasn't changed so it's frustrating that my nails are chipping so soon after getting them done. I used to love coming here read more

Great service! Love the Gel x nails and great service. Also a great pedicure menu and selection!

Nope. Do not go here. The woman was extremely rough with my hands, never once said hello, and was very sloppy. She was so rough, there were 3 times I pulled my hand back and said it hurt. Didn't even soak my cuticles, just ripped them off dry. Overall awful. The only good thing was the two minute massage. What a rip off for $50 plus $5 just because I had other nail polish on. read more

Let me preface this by saying, I've exclusively gone only to this nail place for a year now, and my nails are ALWAYS amazing. Today, I just got my nails done, again, brilliant as usual, I love them. However today, I was really pumped to cash in a full punch card for the nail bar for my free service as listed on the card. I spend anywhere from $50-up to $65 per service on my nails the last year, as reflected on the card each time. I used to do full set acrylic, and now I've gone to SMS probably the last 5-6 times. Imagine my surprise when I am told a full punch card is only worth $30 (base price service)!!!!!! It states clearly on the card, a full card is worth a service of equal or lesser value, which should be my full service of what I've spent there the last TEN times. It says nowhere it's only worth $30 for the base price of their service. After going back and forth with them about their policy, they would not budge even when I pointed out to them, they should be listing that on their card instead of their false advertising. You'd think they would be willing to honor what their card says and then make necessary changes, NOPE. I paid $30 today with a full card that should have been a free, WHOLE, service, as to what I normally paid to fill up the card. LA Nail Bar, I sincerely hope you reach out to make this right with me or change your cards to reflect the TRUE value of a full card no matter what you spend on each service. EXTREMELY disappointed. This once loyal customer will not be back, and will be spreading the word on this poor customer service unless it is made right. read more

First time here and I was immediately welcomed. My nail technician asked if I wanted anything to drink. She took care of me right away. Just a heads up they do take debit cards. But cash tip only. There's an atm inside $1 fee. [ little story ] My favorite nail technician moved to a different state. So I haven't done my nails for 2 months because of that. So I was on a hunt, finding the best ratings, and this placed pops up. So here I am. :] At first I wanted to do french acrylic gel full set ($80) because I've always got my nails done that way. But she recommended dip powder($70), explaining to me that it's cheaper than acrylic and is better for my health. I've never gotten dip powder done before but I have heard it's a new trend going around, so I decided to try it. I absolutely love the technique more than acrylic. It's less painful and more natural looking. Thank you. I do love my coffin shape more narrow, and I was asking her if she can file more on my pointing finger. It was a bit tricky asking her, because I know everyone's is good at there job and they're comfortable. She was telling me if she files even more it won't match the rest. But at the end of the day, I like what I like. Especially if I'm paying $70. At the other nail place I go to in northeast called "golden nails" only charge me $50 and he does a fantastic job. I never had to request for anything. However, I do love the massages they gave me here. The reason for my 4 stars was because, when I got home, I saw that one of nails had a spotting on it. I think it was from dipping the French tips. It's like my pet peeve when I see details like this. But I'll just go somewhere else to fix it. All in all, I would give this place another shot when I'm around the area, but I wouldn't come out my way to here. read more
