I probably should have made an appointment for my last few visits, because I somehow always get Coco and she's just not good. She did a dip mani on me a few weeks ago - my first - that was so lumpy and thick that the cuticle edges kept catching on my hair and clothes. When I finally went back to have it removed and get a regular gel manicure instead, she rushed through my pedicure (no spa, just regular). While she was using the callus file she was looking around the salon and not at my heels, which she was sanding down to nothing. Barely any massage. The gel manicure was also rushed. She was using a worn file to shred the thick layers of dip powder - which she'd applied a few weeks ago - until my nail plates felt sore. You can see how the polish was applied. No cleaning up of the skin around my nails and a gap between the polish and cuticle. I didn't love the color (it definitely looked different on the swatch nail) but I just wanted to leave at that point. I walked out feeling like I wasted $40 plus tip. And now my nails are SO THIN. I'm sad because I really like Alice, Lily, June, and the gentleman who does the massages. I've been going here forever. I just can't keep wasting money on bad manicures. I also miss when they'd use a fresh file and buffer on each client, but now they're obviously reusing the ones they have into the ground.

This is the best place I've ever been to since moving to Philadelphia. I absolutely love it here. The nail salon has a great selection of colors and amazing staff and hospitality. The pricing is reasonable, $25 for a pedicure. I had tried the new powder gel selection which was $35, which is understandable. I did not expect much from it since I was rough on my hands and I was definitely shocked by the results. Because I was constantly putting my hands in water, I expected this to come off within two weeks. but boy! This stayed on for a whopping 3 weeks. The process is interesting, with them dipping your nails in a colored powder. The pedicure is also just heavenly. They give you a 10 minutes massage with hot stones and everything. Their tools are clean and sterilized. I am definitely pleased with the results and will be back soon. read more

Came in during the lunch hour not really expecting much, but my mind was blown. They took me in right away even though it was a tad busy and had me seated right away. (I got a Gel Manicure and Pedicure) They handed me palettes to choose my color. They were very efficient and made sure I was out within an hour. My pedicure was excellent, with a hot stone massage, callus treatment ($5 extra but totally worth it. My feet are gross), and everything else you could ask for. The gel manicure was quick and beautiful. They had managed to do it at the same time and they both were done within minutes of each other. They gel stayed on a surprising long amount of time considering how rough I am with my nails. 5/5 would be back. After all, I had just found my regular. read more

This is one of the best nail salons I've been too in years. I came here to get a SNS Powder Gel and Pedicure and left feeling refreshed. PROS: -Friendly hospitable staff; Extremely accommodating and helpful -Clean and sanitary -Reasonable pricing (only $60 for both a SNS mani and regular pedi) -There was no rush and the technicians spent time working on my nails, making sure to trim my cuticles proper, etc. -The additional back massage while waiting for the SNS to dry was amazing -Amazing costumer service; offered water; helped put my shoes on CONS: -None I am so happy that I finally found a nail salon close to where I live. YuYa is absolutely amazing! From the service to the staff, everything is above and beyond. They do a thorough and amazing job with your nails. The technicians take their time and makes sure you're pleased with the results. They take great care of your nails and cuticles, and I have never been this impressed before by a SNS Powder Gel Manicure. They did a wonderful job and was extremely careful. Each nail was done with precision rather than choppy and I have to say, I am surprised by how long it stayed shiny and unchipped. Not only that, the customer service was amazing. I've been living in Philadelphia for almost 3 years and I thought I'd never find a perfect nail salon until YuYa. The place is exceptionally clean and the technicians and staff were hospitable and welcoming. I got a regular pedicure and SNS powder gel and the results blew me away. My SNS powder gel manicure stayed on for a long time and did not chip at all. My manicurist gave a back massage while I was waiting for it to dry. One of the benefits of getting the SNS powder gel was the fact that I didn't have to put it under the UV light. The best part of the pedicure was definitely the massage. She gave me a 5-minute massage followed by hot stones. I will definitely recommend this place. read more

Very clean and professional. I have never had the powder gel and I am SO glad they introduced me to this. The technician Jada did a spectacular job. I am normally a very picky person and I was so blown away at how amazing the results were. No complaints. It was a very unique process, with them dipping your nails into colored powder and applying a coat of clear. While waiting for your nails to dry, Jada also gives me a 2 minute massage on my back and later a quick massage on my fingers. Very pleased. I have received so many positive feedback on my nails. I am happy to say that I will DEFINITELY be coming back soon. read more

Simply fabulous. I have very high standards when it comes to my nails and I am so SO pleased with the results. It has been about a week and my polish is still on, showing no signs of wear. Overall, YuYa is a very sanitary nail salon, all their tools come from the sterilizer and the prices are reasonable. The workers there are friendly and make you feel right at home. I came during my lunch hour planning on getting just a manicure but left with polished nails AND toes, all under my time limit. I can not tell you how much I love this place. This has to be my favorite nail salon by far. The staff at the place is hospitable and extremely friendly and welcoming. I stopped in expecting a regular experience but I was blown away. They had convinced me to try powder gel which I am so thankful for. This process is a life saver. The powder is thick enough for it won't chip easily but thin enough to look natural. The process itself was also very unique with the technician dipping my nails in to a colored powder. I am so happy with my results and I will definitely be back! read more

Love this salon. Really great service and personable manicurists. They give you a massage with nail services which is a nice bonus. The staff was really friendly and helped with wrapping my toes in saran wrap so they didn't mess up. The customer service is great and very friendly. They were accommodating and helpful. I got an SNS powder gel manicure and it's been about 3 weeks with no signs of tear. There were plenty of color choices and everything was well organized. I've been going to YuYa for years and I will promise you, this place is the best! All of the workers here are VERY experienced and patient. The customer service is amazing, the workers help carry your bags, and even offer you water! The tech who does my nails always give me a back massage whenever I sit under the dryer waiting for my nails to dry. Not only that, they offer a paraffin dip for your hands to soften your skin. I got a Mani and Pedi for only $35. (It would usually be $30 but I got callus remover) I mean, they included a hot stone massage, took off my dead skins, and gave me a paraffin wax on my hands. I had a wonderful hand massage and upper back, shoulder and neck massage. That I didn't know I needed but now I feel amazing. I find that to be pretty rude as I have never experienced that at any nail salon in my life and it's not a particularly fancy or even clean salon. The interaction with the receptionist as a whole was a complete turn off from me visiting this salon in the future if this is how they treat potential clientele.
