I was SO excited to try this place after reading all of the wonderful reviews and am incredibly disappointed that I can't give A List Nail Studio a 5 star review. My $50 dip manicure chipped after only ONE day. I've been getting dip manicure for months at my old salon (had to change due to moving out of state) and my manicure would last more than 3 weeks without chipping, which is why I always spend the extra money to get dip. Needless to say I'm frustrated that this manicure barely lasted one day, especially since it's more expensive than what I previously paid for. I was also pretty disappointed in the overall service I received. My nail artist was Maleena and I have to say she wasn't very friendly (I had a 2 hr appointment since I had a pedicure done too). She barely said more than a few sentences to me the entire time. She also took a personal phone call in the middle of my appointment which isn't a big deal but did kind of throw off the vibe. The other nail artist seemed really friendly and if I were to come back I'd book with her instead. The salon itself is super cute. Incredibly clean and very well decorated. Honestly I will probably try this salon one more time since all of the previous reviews were so stellar. Disappointed that my personal experience wasn't as such.
My older sister recommended Savon at A-List Nail Studio to me, and I've never gone anywhere else. She's absolutely fantastic. She really takes the time to get your nail shape exactly as you want them. She's got so many polish colors to choose from, and the interior of her shop is beautifully elegant- hunter green, gold, and black. I've gotten designs as well as solid colors - Savon never disappoints. Savon is a master in her field, and she's won a lifetime client in me. I was so happy that her shop made it through the pandemic, because I fully plan on continuing to visit her every two weeks. Thanks Savon!
I absolutely love A List Nail Studio. It is definitely my favorite nail salon in Philly and trust me I've been through it finding a place that can actually do acrylics. Savon is truly the sweetest and most hard working woman. She now runs this whole business by herself and she still takes her time and care with your nails. And her prices are honestly amazing for the area and the quality you get it. Never going anywhere else, there's a reason she's always booked!!
Came here for mani-pedi. I walked in and there was no one at the front desk or anywhere nearby. After standing there for about 3 minutes, someone came out of the back nail area to greet me. My nail technician was nice. We didn't chat much (which I honestly don't mind at all). She did a nice job on my pedicure and basic gel mani but the artwork designs weren't great. The general atmosphere is nice, too. Very quiet and private, only a couple of chairs. Honestly for the prices and what they post on their social media, I expected the artwork to be executed a lot better. Probably won't return. EDIT: In response to the owner's strange suggestion that I must have visited a different nail salon, just adding a photo of my appointment confirmation here (at 2013 Sansom St, 2nd Floor). Apparently the nail tech I saw was Maleena.
This beautiful nail salon is tucked away on the second floor of the building. The artists were so friendly and welcoming, and took the time to make sure we were satisfied with our nails. Dip nails were $50 and they had a huge range of selection! Thanks for making our girls day fun! We will definitely be back.
Do not get your fills here! I came here on September 17th to get an acrylic fill by Maleena. This was the first time I got a fill (after the first time getting a full set somewhere else) so I didn't know what to expect. The design I received was not as crisp as previous places I have gone. I also noticed that I had pink/purple ring around my nail beds. The fill was also $70 (excluding tip), which was much more than I expected. But, because I am new to getting acrylics, I was decently happy and shrugged it off. I just got my acrylics off at another salon. The technician immediately knew that Maleena had damaged my nails by using the drill too hard causing an indentation (see photo). I will now have to wait a significant amount of time for my nails to grow out the indentation, which can now only be covered by dark polish. My nails are also sore where the indentation is. I feel like I wasted my money on an alright fill and now have significant damage to my nails. I wish I could get my money back!
Savon is the best! My manicure lasts up to 4 weeks without any chips. The salon is clean and relaxing. Best manicure in Philly and I've tried a lot of places!
EVERYONE don't walk...RUN to this salon immediately! This was the best nail experience I have ever had, the techs are so careful, kind, and professional. The decor is amazing too and the prices are right. I am in love
Booked an "Acrylic Ombré" after not having my nails done for a while - have some body-focused repetitive behaviours that get worse w stress and acrylics are the only way I found to prevent continued harm. Ended up selecting Maleena - never had an acrylic ombré before so was quite excited. Only specified the two colours and that the ring fingers were solid matte green - the rest I allowed her to take artistic liberty on and the result was amazing Friends are all impressed and had great service, atmosphere, and nails - especially compared to prices where I previously went. Very glad I spontaneously decided to change up nail salons and will definitely be back!
Great technicians that make you feel like a regular. Tini had such patience with me and figured out exactly what kind of nail style & color I wanted while teaching me about how I could transition out of acrylic to my natural nails. You can just tell the vibe throughout the shop was laxed and professional at the same time. Nice place

savon has been doing my nails since february and she is the absolute best! i have absolutely nothing but good things to say about her and her work. she is beauty, she is grace, she is patient, she is precise, she is detailed-oriented. she is the curator of all things nail art, and with her steady hand, she can make any design come to life. my nails (dip) easily last 3-4 weeks, and if they do chip early, savon is always happy to repair them. the studio itself is on the second floor of an unassuming building next to the restaurant wilder. the studio is clean, classy, well-decorated, and savon always has the best music taste. love! read more

I have been going to Savon for almost three years and each appointment is better than the prior. She really listens to her clients and what they want out of their service. Place is always clean, music is always playing in the background. Well worth it ! read more
I love my nails!! It's been hard to find a place in Philly that does nails well, and I'm so glad I found A-list! It's tucked away on the second floor currently behind some construction. Definitely a hidden gem. Maleena was awesome and super careful and patient with what I wanted done. And my nails turned out amazing!! read more

I've been to 3 other nail salons in Rittenhouse and was really only impressed with A List. Went here on a whim because it's 3 blocks away from my apartment. I showed Savon pictures of what I wanted and got exactly that! She is so sweet and has a relaxing energy about her. You can tell she is meticulous, detailed, and cares about her work-not sloppy at all. I had two broken nails and she was able to quickly get them patched up and ready for gel. Sessions are appointment only (she is responsive over text) and you get a talented artist who cares about what you want as a client. Such a hidden gem and a nice surprise. read more

Savon is the BEST! It's very hard to get an appointment with her, so if she has an opening, TAKE IT. I've been going to her since September 2021 and I refuse to see anyone else for my nails. She took my nails from broken, short, and peeling to long, healthy, and beautiful! I'm not sure what the reviewer below me is referring to as Savon is the only person who is at A List here in Philly.
