Went in looking for a gift for my friend's birthday and he really likes Rem. I went around and thought the place was very cute inside, reminded me of being at a con and it was a booth there. Bought some blind boxes the other day and when I opened them realized they were all bootleg. Contacted the owner for a refund and while the owner apologized, they were sorry that I was unhappy with my purchase rather than apologizing for selling me bootlegged merchandise. Apparently the store doesn't give cash refunds so I was stuck returning my figures for store credit. Added photos of the blind boxes I purchased since there's some question to the legitimately of my claim. When I went back in took a closer look at a lot of the merchandise and the majority is either unlicensed or straight up bootleg. Do not buy blind boxes, figmas, or nendoroids from this store. The quickest way to tell if what they're selling you is legit or not is to look for a holographic sticker, usually of the anime company that's putting out the fig (i.e. Sailor Moon, One Piece, boxes should have a toei animation sticker.) Other items like banks and wallets are just such low quality you know they're unofficial. The store itself feels more like a middle school anime club than an actual store. The kid working was playing a card game the whole time and I had to interrupt his game in order to get checked out. The sign for their yaoi section includes a rape joke and is disgustingly homophobic. Update: Really uncomfortable that the employees have been openly talking about me to the point where another reviewer can name the day I came in. Also, to address the kid saying everything is imported straight from Japan, the owner states that she gets most of her merchandise from AAAanime. Which is based in California so you don't know what you're talking about. Secondly, Goodsmile lists it's partners on it's website http://partner.goodsmile.info/support/eng/partnershops/ AAAanime is not on the list. read more

This was the first anime store I've ever been to, and it did not disappoint. They had so many options for merch - from new, popular anime to older goodies not as watched anymore. No matter what you're into, you will most likely find it here, even if it's just a badge or pin. The only complaint I have is that it is easy to miss when you're driving by it; you have to know exactly where it is, and the parking is not ideal. Other than that, it's a great shop I'd recommend. read more

I love this store! It's owned and operated by people who are incredibly dedicated to what they do. They are definitely otaku who know about the things they are selling. If you have any questions they'll be happy to help. The store itself is clean and well organized. It's bright, colorful, and, of course, stocked with all kinds of great anime and other nerdy merchandise! If you are a fan of anime or know someone who is, you have to check it out. Keychains, figurines, toys, manga, dakimakuras, buttons, posters... you name it! And the prices are good too. The owner is always trying to improve the shop by updating the merchandise and even introducing new things like local art. They really care about the quality of what they offer and it shows. Needless to say, if you're ever in the area, take a moment to stop into the store and check it out. Any fan of anime is sure to find something they'll want to buy. read more

Not sure why this place was listed as being closed as the wife and I stopped here tonight on our way back home through Delaware and we had the BEST time. The lady who works there (who I believe owns the store with her husband) is extremely friendly and helpful and the store is magical. They have a newly made +18 mini-section filled with naughty goodies (pillows, doujinshi, inexpensive scrolls that'll make you blush) and a surprisingly extensive amount of merch like full scale figures and little plushes/keychains. They have fun things like an archway to string up tanabata wishes and a little lottery to win prizes. It's like every anime fan's dream home and a truly lovely place; we'll be back! read more

Let me start by saying, when i first heard an anime store was opening up in Delaware, i was both stoked and nervous at the same time. Was it going to be something really small with nothing of my interest in it? Well, turns out this was the best damn thing to happen for Otakus and Weebs around the Upper DE, MD, PA, and NJ area! I try to visit here anytime i have spare money to grab merchandise of my favorite series, And if they don't have it Kristy will try her darnest to get it for ya. Kristy and Tom have such a lovely business that have fun events every once in a while! They're both really fun and make the Atmosphere of the store super great. If you're a local weeb or even traveling i suggest stopping by to see the large selection of Anime merchandise, Clothing, and even the 18+ merch! P.S only downside is they're only open Thursday - Saturday from 3pm - 8 pm, but it's really worth the travel and the wait! read more
