I come in this store pretty often and will continue to support them after leaving this review. I…read morehaven't wanted to leave a review because I appreciate having a local game store and I love to shop local when I can. I came in today (Sunday) around 12:40pm and I get similar treatment every time I'm in there. I am a femme presenting person and they all treat me like I don't exist and usually leave the interaction with the cashier being made to feel stupid. I see them having full on conversations with people and then when I come up to purchase something, I'm treated like I don't know what I'm doing and not paid attention to, even when I am right in front of them checking out. And on multiple occasions have been met with a similar experience from the cashier. Today I found myself standing waiting to be rung up, while the employee at the counter attended solely to a patron going through a binder of mtg cards. I recognize a need for supervision and attention required for customers reviewing the card catalogue. However, my partner and I stood for some time waiting to be helped without so much of a check in to let us know if we need assistance or otherwise. In the future a quick "i'll be with you momentarily" could suffice. Additionally, once we are finally asked if we are checking out the cashier proceeds to split his attention between us and the customer with the binder. So much so that my partner and I spend unnecessary moments trying to make our purchase using Apple Pay when the machine needed to be reset. Ultimately, our dissatisfaction comes from a lack of consideration to all customers in the store. I recognize my purchases may not be as lucrative as those who play mtg or 40k. But I would hope my continued patronage would be worth some standard shared across the btg staff. This is not my experience every time but is certainly not the first. However, I do hope the next time I visit to be a more courteous one.

This establishment served as a form of resistance in a far less tolerant time period (1970s). What is now common place and acceptable in terms of a business offering, was part of a counter-culture movement at the time of Wonderland's inception. Through the years they've helped clear the path to get us where we are today. What's also of incalculable value is that the owner, Dimitri, is someone who similarly grew up in Wonderland and understands the mantle he carries as the owner of an historical landmark. He's personable, knowledgeable, and engaging. Thank you for "minding the store". May those who feel they had unsatisfactory experiences find their Zen.

Charlie mainly focuses on US coins, so I've gotten great deals on foreign coins, with some spectacular cherry picks from his foreign "junk box." But even on the US banknotes, I've never paid the posted price. He offers you a discount as soon as you express interest in anything, and he values his customers. Rare story: I wanted to buy about $25 worth of foreign silver recently (he sells it by weight & bullion value), and I didn't have enough cash on hand. I told him I'd run over to the (no fee!!) ATMs, and he said I could just owe him. True, he certainly knows my face well by now, but that's the kind of service that impresses me. A small selection, but I'm rating it high because I appreciate the way he runs his business.

I've gotten some great deals working with him, and I gotta say that he is, in my opinion, the best coin dealer around.
