Premier AV tech does work for a lot of high end companies around the Bay Area but their pricing is…read moresurprisingly reasonable. I write about virtual gaming and needed a projector for the laser pistols to work properly, but I didn't want to replace my 80" LCD. The solution was to hang a screen that would come down in front of my existing screen and equipment racks. One problem is that the screen needs to be too far out to hang from a wall and the second problem is it needs to hang from a slanted cathedral ceiling. Premier AV Tech met me in a video call to survey the room and they kept in close contact the whole time. They let me know that the screen they ordered for me was defective when it was tested. When they reached out to the manufacturer, they found that a replacement would take way too long so they worked to get me an even better screen at no increase in price. On installation day they covered my equipment and had the screen up and running in a few short hours. A++

Nothing but praise with how professional and knowledgeable Mitsu was with not only with installation, but proper placement as well as audio science. Since they seem to handle a lot of corporate-scale installations, I initially wondered if my project might be too small--but that concern disappeared pretty quickly. The team was already very familiar with Ubiquiti systems and was incredibly patient working with me despite my fairly basic understanding. They walked me through the tradeoffs and ultimately recommended stepping up from mid-range equipment to more professional-grade options. The reasoning was clear, the cost/benefit made sense, and at no point did I feel pressured--just well-advised. The actual Ethernet installation work was top-notch--smurf tubing, recessed (not sticking out!) enclosures, and everything. The level of craftsmanship and attention to detail is honestly beyond what I would normally expect (or even feel comfortable demanding from contractors). They went above and beyond without being asked, and the cable organization is immaculate. Huge thanks to Justin and John for their precision and quality of work, and to Jim and Rodrigo for their thoughtful recommendations on equipment and access point placement. If you're looking for a team that combines technical expertise with professionalism and genuine care, I'd absolutely recommend them.

We didn't hire Bay Area Tech Hero - so we cannot comment on service quality. The reason we didn't…read morehire this team was primarily due to pricing. The quote we received for 3x cable runs was 400% more than the team we hired, and that team said their pricing was "average pricing." We also were quoted the highest end hardware, which would have been excessive for our needs. If you can afford to shop around and the timing of your project allows, we highly suggest shopping around!

I'm here to setup new servers and other equipment. Brought my employee the IT contractor who's doing the IT work for me. Since my development team is mostly overseas and my engineers are scattered all around the states and abroad, I need help setting up servers and other equipment at the data center. Security top notch. Walked in one door which closes behind you. Then you get through next door and a small hallway. The disruptions are frequent and too many times have made my home server unreachable while traveling. Most of the time the service resumes, but on occasion I've had to have a neighbor or relative enter my home and reset the connection for me. Super effing inconvenient! Also, there is no roadmap for connections faster than 1 Gigabit, even while even more worthless competitors like Xfinity and AT&T offer 2.5 and even 5 Gigabit. And lastly, they increased their rates a few months ago. They offered a discount if you paid for a year in advance, but offered no way to do that online. It wasn't until I contacted customer service, that they gave me the details of how to do so: by writing a physical check and sending it to a physical address, no ACH or Credit Card options (which are available to those who pay monthly). Like, I'm boomer AF, so I still have a few checks laying around, but who else in 2025 still has a checkbook? When it works, I'm grateful, but internet service is binary. I just need it to work. Always. And it doesn't. End of story.
