Crew was great. Captain saw dolphins so he took the time to let us all enjoy watching them. Our first spot was too choppy so he took us to another where we saw lots of fish and turtles! Boat was clean and nice but food was uneventful read more

Took the snorkel tour yesterday and had one of the best days ever. The crew was awesome and were clearly most concerned with safety and then making sure everyone had a great time. Had a perfect day snorkeling with turtles, had a great lunch and then cruised with a bunch of spinner dolphins next to our boat. Although we were headed in and almost back, the crew went out of their way to circle back and get as much time with the dolphins as possible. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone wanting to have a great time. read more

We normally take another tour which leaves from much from a much further location, and at 7 AM which is rough getting the kids up. If you are not looking to dive, but snorkel only this snorkel cruise is for you. Food and beer included! And the staff was great, funny happy go lucky people. read more

This was an excellent whale watching tour! The whales are really active! The crew was amazing! One complaint for the whale expert- he was rude, arrogant, condescending and had great opportunities to teach! He needs to remember we are paying customers and you need to teach not brag about what you know and how great you are!! I won't go on Gemini again! read more

I was excited to head out on a Maui sailing vessel and snorkel trip, so we booked Gemini on the beach in front of Westin Maui. The trip exceeded my expectations. The crew was friendly and informational and our kids had a super good time. The food was good, the snorkeling was great, and the boat was top notch. We had time to snorkel, lunch, and then spend time diving off the boat into super clear reef waters. All that and an open bar for adults on the way home was great. Not that you will see the same, but we saw the first Humpback whales of the season for the boat. Way, way, way cool to see multiple blows and flukes up dive by two Humpbacks. We went in early November which is the beginning of when you might see Humpbacks. The crew took time to stop and wait for them to resurface after the first blows and dive. I can't wait to go with these folks again. read more

My wife and I are here on our honeymoon and our charter with Gemini was probably the most fun activity we did. The captain and crew were really personable and they made the experience great! The food provided on our trip was really great and was a great bonus. The pricing was reasonable and the provided equipment was of great quality. I will definitely ride with Gemini on my next trip to Hawaii. read more

We were fortunate enough to be visiting Maui prior to the travel restrictions due to the Corona Virus. I've always known the ocean right off Kaanapali beach is magical, why else would these enormous mammals come thousands of miles to have their babies here. We went on a Gemini whale watching cruise and had the experience of a lifetime. The crew were knowledgeable and pleasant, and most importantly, very respectful of the whales. We saw several whales, including one who decided to give us a personal show, flapping his tail right next to the Gemini, even surfacing parallel almost touching the sides. The food and beverages served were high quality and delicious. I cannot recommend the Gemini and crew enough for your ocean adventures. read more

First family trip to Maui, and first ever snorkeling and sailing adventure with 2 boys age 9 and 11. Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of an awesome trip... That started conveniently right outside our hotel, with easy and organized check-in, safety briefing, and equipment selection onboard a spacious and comfortable catamaran. The captain and three crew members were efficient, knowledgable and friendly, very focused on good customer experiences from the youngest (my 9 year old who was new to snorkeling and boats, and required extra help and patience) to oldest (a not very spry gentleman who required lots of help and patience). The team helped everyone go get comfortable on board, including hints about what to do in the event of sea sickness, which thankfully none of my group had. We got drinks and snacks, motored about an hour to a beautiful sheltered cove, and dropped anchor. We were shown how to get the most of the 80 or so minutes we had to snorkel, including what to look for, how to take care of the reef, where to see sea turtles and other special creatures, etc. the team was friendly and helpful throughout, including during the very tasty lunch that was laid out while we were in the water: BBQ chicken, fish, fried rice and snacks. They even offered my husband a prescription mask when he heard that he'd forgotten his contact lenses. Things to know: bring a hat, extra sunscreen and maybe a dry change of clothes, it can be chilly and windy, we went in April. We saw flying fish, a green sea turtle and a couple of whales! Also we tipped 10% at the end because it's all I had in cash, but they did such a great job that I plan to go meet the boat later and double it!!!! Totally fun. Thanks Jennifer and Linda and captain man and other sailing man, sorry we didn't remember your names! read more

Gemini Sailing Charters - Best seat in the house, plus awesome captain and crew at Gemini Charters, snorkel sail off the beach in Ka'anapali. - Boating Near Me - Lahaina, Hawaii

The Gemini Honolua Bay snorkel tour was one of the coolest things I've ever experienced! The boat brings you directly to the best spot in the bay to jump right into a stunning reef habitat filled with turtles, coral, fish, urchins, you name it. And along the way we sailed through a huge pod of dolphins that played in our wake, jumping out of the water and spinning in the air. The crew was amazing, so friendly and ready to assist with anything we might need. Lunch was delicious (bbq chicken, pork, fried rice, veggies, taro rolls, etc.), and it was fun to sip on drinks while sailing along the coast. 110% would recommend, WELL worth the money! Make sure to reserve in advance, especially during the busy summer months! read more

We had a large group of 13 and a few of us had never been snorkeling. They give you a nice lesson and make you feel at ease. It was so much fun, will definitely do it again. The crew is great and the views are amazing. Thank you so much for a great time! read more

This was the greatest trip on Maui. Boat staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful! We saw at least 20 whales during the 2 hour trip and had a spectacular afternoon!! Thank you so much for making this day for my 6 friends and myself!! read more

My daughter and I took the morning snorkeling trip a few days ago, and it was the highlight of our trip. A woman we met on the beach had taken a Gemini charter previously and highly recommended, so we gave them a shot. While we weren't able to go to the spot that the crew normally stops for snorkeling, due to heavy surf on that day, we were not the least bit disappointed. The crew, Kate, Russel and Brad (I hope I remembered their names correctly!) were amazing...super professional, friendly and accommodating. Although we enjoyed the adventure from start to finish, the highlight of our day was spotting a gigantic humpback whale, that breached right smack in front of our catamaran! So....if you go in winter months, you may get lucky and spot turtles AND whales on the same trip. When we return, we will definitely do this trip with Gemini again. I can't imagine anyone doing it better. read more

I wish I could give them 10 stars! We went on the snorkeling trip. It was well worth the money. On the sail back the food and drinks were fantastic. Two days layer we went on the sunset cruise. The appetizers and Mai Tai's were fantastic. Along with the music it was a great memory. We enjoyed it so much we did another sunset cruise the next night. The crew treated us better than any flight attendants on any airline I have been on. Do not visit Maui without going on the Gemini. read more

An excellent experience along with a crew that pays attention to the little details. Add in great tasting food and you have a wonderful day on the water. We have tried several snorkel cruises over the years. This one was top notch. read more

Went on the snorkel trip to Honolua Bay. Awesome trip. Great value. Crew was wonderful. Good food and spirits after snorkeling. Our captain got word there were spinner dolphins in the area and made a short side trip for us to cruise with them for 15 minutes! Unreal service! I'm going again ... and again. read more

Sorry we missed da boat it looks beautiful but in the spirit of Maui no biggie we will catch you next time. Aloha the Days

This sunset cruise was the best I've ever done professional staff, great service and tasty food. A++ for sure

Repeated the same sail again in Aug 2012 - food even better and friendliness of the crew hard to overestimate.

We love Gemini Charters! Beautiful catamaran, great staff, great food and amazing views! It was the highlight of our trip! The cost was reasonable too. We loved it so much we went three times during our week on Maui! Two sunset cruises and a snorkeling trip. Here's a tip - they offer repeat customers a discount so be sure to ask. read more

Amazing tour! Great boat, great view! We saw spinner dolphins swimming next to the boat and jumping in the air (there was even a baby and momma). Then we saw whales tail slapping and head slapping (just amazing)! We did some snorkeling, and then ate a FEAST! I mean more food than we could have ever finished off. The meal alone was incredible! read more

So much fun! I have been on several snorkeling charters and this one is one of my favorites! The staff was awesome! Super kid friendly but perfect for the adults too with yummy alcoholic beverages. The food was delish! Equipment was a huge variety. My son ended up being shy of the snorkel gear so he was given a boogie board with a viewing hole, and they offered him a life jacket belt to ease his anxiety. It was perfect! Thanks again to the crew for the great hospitality. We will definitely be back! read more

Everything about the trip was great. I was expecting a slow paced short sail down the coast but was happy to be wrong. Rihanna explained what to expect very well and she and Dave made me feel right at home. The boat went out far enough to catch the breeze and make you test your balance without making you nauseous. Food and drinks were supplied and plentiful. I will definitely recommend this trip to people and hope to do it again on my next visit! read more

My husband and I are fans - exemplified by the fact that we book a Whale Watch every February when we are in Maui, and have done so for the past 10 years. We only use the Gemini because of their stellar customer service, knowledgeable staff (especially Jennifer and Dirk, the naturalists), and unbelievable experiences finding whales. You will make great memories when you book with the Gemini. read more

The trip was totally awesome stating with the crew Dave, Cassidy, Rihanna and Oliver the captain! We snorkeled and saw beautiful fish and sea life! The food was great! We had chicken, fish and yummy fried rice. The drinks were overflowing and delicious. Everybody was so friendly. I loved the smooth ride back sailing to kaanapali. Thank you Gemini charters!! read more

I would highly highly recommend the Gemini! I went on multiple boats in Maui and the Gemini was the most informative and had the nicest crew. They are always making sure you have what you need and are having fun. They are also very legit with a marine biologist onboard to teach about all the whales we saw! The boat is super clean, large and comfortable! Will definitely be coming back on the Gemini! You can tell all others were pleased as the majority of the passengers had previously been on the Gemini in previous trips! read more

Highlight of our trip! Went on the 8am Whalewatch and it was phenomenal. If we had more time would definitely go again while on the island!

Great experience. Started a few minutes early because everyone showed up early. Drinks were flowing from the start and crew made it easy to get a view or just sit with your partner. Food came out half way into the cruise and there was plenty to go around. We highly recommend the sunset cruise!! read more

They are a professional, experienced crew on a top notch vessel. I have done two whale watch tours with them and had an excellent experience both times. They have a knowledgeable naturalist, an additional crew member with the Captain, on board to make sure you enjoy your excursion. read more

We had the most splendid time on the sunset cruise. Our daughters are 4 and 6 years old and they had the biggest smiles the entire time. It's a beautiful ride, the food was great and the staff was so friendly! Definitely a highlight of our trip! read more

Excellent crew, awesome tour. We took the lunch snorkel cruise. Saw plenty of whales, millions of brightly colored fish and swam with the turtles. Best snorkel we have done. Lunch was great and an ice cold beer for the ride home was just what we needed. Actual swim time was 1.5 hours. My wife and I were the first ones in and the last ones out of the water. read more

My Dad and I booked the 2 hour sunset cruise and it was fantastic! The crew (especially Cody) and the food was great... in addition we saw Several bottlenose dolphins and the most amazing double rainbow I have ever seen and I've lived on Maui over 17 years. It was so memorable- with a little help from Mother Nature... these guys deliver! read more

Such a great charter and way to sail along the Lahina and Kaanapali coast! The boat was clean, large but not too big, and the catamaran experience as a whole was a very fun for first time families and couples. I'm not sure I would recommend this for experienced scuba divers however it gets all stars for their friendly staff, beautiful boat, and the overall amazing experience my family and I had. Sam, our greeter/bartender/deck crew member, was especially great and kind; I'd love to give props to the other crew but I forgot their names! Beautiful snorkeling and sailing on the catamaran makes for a great day, thanks again! read more

We took the sunset cruise tonight and it was amazing. Katie and Nick were amazing and it was a great experience! The food and drinks were good. Don't expect a 5 star meal but you'll get 5 star service! Thank you Gemini! We appreciate the experience! read more

This was so fun! We did the morning/lunch cruise and the snorkeling was only fair because we were limited on where we could snorkel due to the weather, but we did see lots of turtles and whales! The captain and crew were awesome, food delish, I would love to sail again with Gemini! read more

A perfect day @ Honolua Bay w/ amazing food and memorable dolphin moments! The crew really knew the guests, mostly bc so many had been coming for 10+ years to the same place for a beautiful, priceless experience. That's something to be said. Plus, I can drive to Honolua Bay, but I never ever knew there was a turtle cleaning station in the center of the entrance! The crew made all the difference. Thanks Linda, Jennifer, Andrew & Cap'n! read more

Love this trip - the fee was pretty high but would have to say value for money - snorkeling was amazing with unbelievable reefs and delicious food and free drinks after. Great vibe and the staff were so nice - we are glad for a memorable experience! read more

Took the Gemini for a Sunset Whale Watch. It was a windy day so it was bit rough but a catamaran seems like the perfect boat to handle it. The crew was great. Very informative about the whales. The only drawback is you have to board from the beach and it is not very easy for older people or younger children. You have a good chance of getting wet while boarding so dress for that possibility. read more

Amazing boat and crew. Boat was recently renovated and it really shows. The crew was very welcoming and made sure every one had a great time. Would highly recommend this over the other boats. I have been on other boats and I'll guarantee you that this high level of service is not the standard. Gemini is awesome! read more

Really quality charter. Great crew, food was way above average for this type of event! Snorkel was fun - plenty of good equipment. Reef area was fantastic - saw lots of fish and turtles. Got a bonus view of several dolphin on the way back. The recommended parking lot is $36 so be aware of that. We have not done another snorkel tour on Maui so can't compare this to others but this seemed very well run. read more

Second time in Maui and second time cruising with Gemini... great boat, awesome snorkeling, good food, an all round fun experience!!
