No need to leave the Lincoln Park area to get high end dining! They make a mean dirty martini too. During summer time, their outdoor patio is a vibe and preferred for dinner reservations. I came here for my birthday now for two years in a row, and it's been a great choice each time. We are always trying their seasonal menu items. Their fried octopus and tuna tare tare is a must for app! Service is top notch and friendly!

Best restaurant in Chicago! Been here many times, and finally tried the ricotta dumplings! These were so good and filling, a fun Italian switch up from my normal order. We also go the branzino (forgot to picture) and wow 10/10 need to get that again. And the Caesar salad with added salmon was amazing! The staff is always so friendly and attentive and we just love this place!

Yum!! I got the chicken sandwich and the chicken was very delicious. It was seasoned well and juicy. The fruit cup was also fresh which I loved. The prickly pear Bellini hit the spot!! Not too sweet. We sat at the bar for lunch and a couple drinks and there were so many bartenders checking in on us. My water cup was never empty! The vibes were THERE! So cute.

Unsurprisingly busy on a Saturday for brunch after our experience. We booked ahead and only had a short wait before our table was ready. The brunch menu was limited but had everything you would want. We tried: - Pastry Flight (Cinnamon Bun, Old Fashioned, & Coffee Cake) - Steak and Eggs - The Deluxe Bird w/truffle fries - FKG It was more than enough, would probably only order two pastries if we go again. Overall flavorful and no complaints.

Came here for brunch with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary. Gemini was so kind to write a special message on our menu which was such a lovely touch that we both adored! Unfortunately because the menu was paper we couldn't make it last through our meal to take home as a memory but we have a picture :) I would recommend potentially a harder stock paper just for those customized ones. We sat on the patio because we brought our dog. Very dog friendly spot - one of the managers came to play with him and give him water and a treat. Again.. nice touch! I do wish they had a bigger menu. I kind of wanted breakfast but nothing in their breakfast menu really called my name. The shrimp & grits are my usual go to at places but the bbq through me off. Instead we opted for the sandwiches - he got a burger & I got a chicken sandwich. He enjoyed his burger and my chicken sandwich was tasty - it has a nice honey glaze on it but i do wish it was crispier but I appreciate it being a good piece of chicken thigh. Overall solid place especially if you're making a day out of it and heading to the zoo which is just a 10min walk from here.

So personalized and so yummy! Went here to celebrate my engagement and had a couple incredible cocktails and yummy salad. Their mezcal drinks never fail to amaze me. Staff is excellent and always so kind.

Such a lovely spot for lunch, dinner, you name it. Their decor is beautiful inside and out. We really enjoyed everything! Tried the dishes below: Halibut: 5/5 - The halibut was perfectly cooked and generously doused in greens & pea shoots. The soubise at the bottom was creamy and dreamy. Parker House Rolls: 5/5 - Soft, warm & buttery. Loved the sprinkle of salt on top. The perfect appetizer. Buck's Cake: 5/5 - The perfect dessert to finish our meal. Indulgent, moist and their salted caramel brownie icecream is heavenly. Not to mention our waitress was so sweet. She came out at the perfect times and checked on us often to make sure everything was to our liking. Highly recommend Gemini to anyone!

Great food and drink selections! Seated us quickly on a busy day and our server was super friendly. Loved the relaxed vibe and the fact that they keep one tv in the bar area, so it can feature the Cubs!

I was really impressed with Gemini. We came here for my birthday and I'm so happy I did. The staff were extremely friendly immediately upon arrival and they were really attentive. They printed personalized menus that said happy birthday on them which was unexpected and really special. I would absolutely recommend doing the bottomless brunch because you get to choose from a wide variety of drinks. The food was good overall, but my one note would be that the breakfast potatoes were a bit tough to eat because they were a little over done. The vibe in here is so cozy. I'll definitely be coming back

We were walking by from Lincoln park and walked through the outdoor patio area and the food looked so good we had to come back. The staff was super friendly specially Douglas who we had a great conversation with and the bartender Destiny was super cool. The food was honestly amazing . The house rolls , Brussels sprouts and creme brûlée were delicious. Super cute restaurant would absolutely recommend and will be coming back

I stopped by on Saturday 8/30/25, the location is great. It's a short walk from the lakefront and Lincoln Pk Zoo. It felt as if the whole neighborhood was out and about on this beautiful day. If people watching is your thing then it doesn't get much better than this in Lincoln Pk. However, if you are looking for a great meal, this is not the best choice in the area. I visited with family, we had a mixture of breakfast, brunch, and lunch. No one raved about any of the meals. My order was a simple one, a turkey club sandwich. The bread was only okay and cheap deli turkey was utilized. At a whooping price of $21 for a mediocre sandwich, at least serve me freshly roasted turkey on delicious bread within house made fresh mayo. I was surprised because this is one of the items that many raved about?

I got the steak and eggs - overall it was good and the service was quick and nice. They have inside and outdoor seating and the inside feels more of an upscale American vibe.

It was an okay experience at Gemini. My group had a reservation but it took an extra 15 minutes to get our table. At times we felt rushed with servers constantly coming up to take things away. Took a while to get drinks but they all tasted great. Highly recommend the truffle parm fries and Creme brûlée! Lots of dates and small groups at this restaurant. The menu looked good and they have specials each night.

Unfortunately Machine was not open, which is downstairs from this place, so we went here. Usually there is a bouncer outside, covering both places, but no one was at the door so me and The Queen walked upstairs. The bouncer was upstairs and saw us come in, so he asked for ID. He explained that everyone gets card before they come in, which is not a issue for me. The overall vibe, for me, was definitely a frat hangout vibe. There are arcade games all over the place and cutesy names for beers and cocktails, like the Froot Loops (vodka, coriander honey, oat milk, shochu, saline, milk carton, and froot loops). Man I do not do cocktails and this is the reason why. There is too much going on in that glass for me to deal with. Prices for cocktails range from $14-$15. BFF #1 got a vodka soda for $13, but looking at the size of the glass, it was on the small side. BFF #1 said it was on the weak side. I was happy to hear that there was prosecco, so I got that. The Doctor showed up and got a beer. The selection of beers was limited from what I could see on the wall, maybe there was a list someone else behind the bar. The bartender was a really sweet, she was all smiles and kept calling me baby, which was so funny to me. I tipped her well because she was great on them pours of prosecco. We did not do food as we were heading to Club Lago for dinner and I didn't realize that they had food until I checked into Yelp and saw the online menu. The Queen actually went to a DJ set here with Roosevelt, I believe, and said it was a good event. Not a place I would normally hang out in, but I can see the appeal for folks in their 20s as I would definitely say outside of The Queen, the three of us were the oldest folks in there. Lots of people taking Instagram photos and posing or making short videos with those ring lights. I imagine it can get super loud when it is busy, but that is a vibe for some folks. I would say if that is your thing, this is the place for you.

(Kari's Rating 8.75/10)…read more Came with a friend late on a Friday night after dinner time We were able to be seated almost immediately at a nice little private Cove table. We ordered a flight of whiskey sours, which contained whiskeys from Japan, Vietnam, and Wisconsin. I also was able to order an amaretto sour, which they made with freshly hand beaten egg whites, which was a nice cherry on the top. As far as the whiskey flights go, I think the best one was the Vietnam flight because it had a slightly lemongrass twang and was a little bit lighter than the other two. The heaviest one was the Wisconsin which came with a little bit of a bite at the end, but it still wasn't bad if you're trying to blackout on a $15 budget. I would definitely come back with a larger group this seems like a great place, but is a little bit loud- so if you be prepared to yell or wear earplugs. The bathroom took my a second to find, which should have been intuitive considering it was on the opposite end of where you come in. I blame the lighting as things are already pretty hard to find in the dark, but eventually I made it there-Pat myself on the back.

Instagram sent me, not via an influencer, but a very alluring ad. If I were to book a reservation…read morethen and there, I could get an Old Fashioned made with Colonel E.H. Taylor for a lower price. Sold! I made a reservation and stopped in that week (if not that very day). The Old Fashioned was fantastic! It had strong whiskey notes without hitting you with a wall of spirit the way a Manhattan, for example, does. The other additions of bitters and syrup did a perfect job rounding the cocktail out, adding sweet and savory notes. As much as I love variety, I loved it so much, I ordered two! I can't lie and say this wasn't at least in part due to the reduced price, that notwithstanding, me ordering two of the same is some of the highest, non-verbal praise one could get from me. For a main, I had the opportunity to try the burger, a special only available 5:00 - 6:30, and mind you I eked in by the skin of my teeth. Before I attempt to break this down, though, I need to take a slight tangent: Do any of you remember the quote from The Menu where Anya Taylor-Joy says: "A real cheeseburger. Not some fancy, deconstructed, affluent b***s***, a *real* cheeseburger."? I am pleased to report the burger here was somewhere between Chef Slowik's "very traditional cheeseburger" and the one Taylor Joy describes! In other words, just fancy enough to feel like I am getting a unique, creative, well thought out dish, but without all the pomp and circumstance! There's just one little problem: as soon as I bit into it, the juices erupting from within soaked the bottom bun, and turned it into a fork and knife affair with an unseen level of precision and speed. Very regrettably, this was the burger's undoing. That first, heavenly bite that had angels singing showed what the burger was really made of (and I mean this figuratively and literally). The beef was of the highest quality, well-seasoned, cooked medium and juicy, with a perfect sear that would have Louis Camille Maillard crying tears of joy. Two types of cheese (one being crisp and airy, the other thoroughly gooey and savory), the perfect amount of bacon, moisture and flavor from a tempura tomato, and divine sauces! One of them was a little sweet, which elevated the flavor like no one's business. Together, all these flavors were a symphony that could give Beethoven a run for his money. However, that unfortunate fact that the thing fell apart so quickly meant that symphony was limited to one bite, the rest being encountered piecemeal. I would rather skip fries than skip dessert (which I did), and ordered the Mango cheesecake. Such velvety perfection! Neither the sweetness nor the mango notes were overpowering, and while it didn't have the crust of a traditional cheesecake, the more gentle variant here absolutely works. I also appreciated the tart sorbet to offer some contrast in flavor, temperature, and texture. Now, let me talk about the service. Given that the restaurant was at capacity, the bar service and speed to get my items was reasonable. Could it hypothetically have been just a touch faster/more attentive? Yes, but in practice, when you have a full house, this is as good as it can get before robots take over. Finally, there is the matter of prices. There is no doubt in my mind that the quality is up there, at the same time, the reason I skipped the side of fries was it would have set me back $11. I suppose the real question is whether or not the quality equals the price, and after some reflection, I think the answer is yes, but one must be prepared for the sticker shock ahead of time. That said, the final verdict: The Franklin Room absolutely delivers on an all-around fantastic meal. I think whatever you order will be in the 90th percentile, at worst! However, this comes at a cost. Therefore, I would love to return to the Franklin Room, but it would likely be more a very occasional treat than a place where I'd be a regular.

The 1st that plans ahead and gets to places early. And the 2nd that is there for a good time but always gets everywhere late. Those of us that wanted to come early and not worry decided that we wanted to go to a restaurant close by to wait for our tour time and that's how we found Ema. As soon as we walk inside we see how beautiful and modern the interior looks. They had a lot of seating available and we got a nice table by the window with a view We wanted to eat light before the tour so we shared a bunch of small plates. We ordered the mushroom escargot, lemon Caesar, crispy potatoes, a couple orders of hummus and some chicken kebabs. That mushroom escargot was one of my favorite things I ate during the entire Chicago trip. The mushrooms were creamy and rich. It tasted umami, bright from the lemon, slightly spicy from the Calabrian breadcrumbs, and paired perfectly with some warm pita bread on the side. The hummus was smooth and well seasoned. The lemon caesar was fresh and fairly standard. The crispy potatoes were perfectly textured and were soft and pillowy on the inside. As long as they sat on the table they never lost their crisp. The chicken kebabs were tenderly, juicy and garlicky. We were all putting together our perfect bite combinations with the pita bread. Everything we ordered I would actually order again. Though may want to try a different salad next time since the Caesar was pretty simple. Regardless, still no real complaints with the food Our server was charismatic and funny. He had a great attitude and entertained us throughout the meal. Everything came out promptly as well so we made it out and could take our time walking to the riverboats. Lucky for our friends the tour said they'd be docked for a few minutes after our scheduled start time to set everything up. As 3 minutes after our start time we see group 2 sprinting up from a couple blocks away Overall Ema was consistent, flavorful and reliable. Not a bad price point either for what you get. I'd definitely recommend and come back
