A Company That Prioritizes Profit Over Employees and Customers…read more
My experience with this company was extremely disappointing, and I believe anyone considering working here or hiring them deserves to know what goes on behind the scenes.
Rather than professionally terminating my employment, the company kept me on the books for over two weeks with zero work hours and zero income. From my perspective, this appeared to be a way of avoiding a formal termination and the possibility of unemployment responsibilities. Meanwhile, I was forced to turn to DoorDash just to pay my bills while waiting for a company that apparently couldn't even give me the courtesy of an honest conversation.
That alone speaks volumes about how management treats its employees.
Unfortunately, the problems go far beyond employee treatment. During my time there, I witnessed practices that raised serious concerns about workmanship, accountability, and the company's priorities. Corners were cut, and I observed situations where customers were being charged despite issues being caused or contributed to by the company's own work. Rather than accepting responsibility, blame could be shifted onto the homeowner.
When customers pay a plumbing company, they deserve honest work, transparency, and accountability -- not excuses or additional charges for problems the company helped create.
I also have serious concerns about the qualifications and experience of certain individuals working in the business, including management's daughter. Based on what I personally observed, I would not feel comfortable trusting her to independently handle plumbing work in my own home. Being related to the owner should never substitute for experience, qualifications, or competence.
I also heard substantial concerns regarding the company's financial position, including claims of approximately half a million dollars in debt. While I cannot independently verify that figure, the business practices I witnessed certainly raised questions about its financial priorities and how it chooses to treat the people keeping it running.
For anyone considering employment here: Document everything, keep track of your hours, and do not assume management will look out for your best interests.
For homeowners: Ask questions, request explanations, and make sure you understand exactly what you're paying for.
A company that expects customers to trust it with their homes should be able to demonstrate the same level of honesty and accountability it demands from everyone else.
There is a difference between running a profitable business and putting money above employees, customers, and basic integrity. Unfortunately, my experience left me questioning whether this company understands that difference.
I would not work here again, and based on my experience, I would think very carefully before trusting this company with work in my home.
