Our LG refrigerator started making strange noises so I called Geek Squad. I bought a 5 year plan when I purchased the appliance so I expected good service. I have only had the fridge 16 months. The Customer Service Representative was very nice but was unable to send someone out for 8 days. At that point the fridge was cooling so I expressed concern that it would totally break down soon because of the type of noise I was hearing. Sure enough that happened by evening!! Got an error FF E. I called in the morning and told them how quickly the fridge was warming. Not wanting to lose all my food, I begged the representative for a sooner appointment. They only gave me one day sooner!! I wish they had warned me when I purchased Geek Squad that refrigerator customers are not a priority. read more

We had Geek Squad set up 2 TVs and then also help us figure out how to find and connect the best headphones for hearing disabled me, so that my husband and I could both hear the TV at the same time and I could adjust my sound levels without affecting his sound reception. This required several trips and Adam could not have been more helpful. Also Sebastian, I think the supervisor of the Geek Squad, was more than wonderful and went above and beyond to make sure we got exactly what we needed. Not at all thrilled with Best Buy but the Geek Squad gets 5 stars. Many thanks for helping us through what can be an overwhelming experience for non technologically inclined people, and is especially difficult for us older folks. read more

I had Geek Squad to my home to synch 3 Blink Cameras and 1 Blink Doorbell, it was done and they must have checked my doorbell with the door open because I learned today that it only rings outside and I cannot hear it with the front door closed. I called to get this fixed: Spoke to 4 people, the 1st told me my prior order was for 2 cameras so I'd have to repay, NOPE 3 CAMERAS, 1 DOORBELL. Three agents later got Erick (THANK YOU ERICK- YOU HELPED), no one else knew anything from anything. I'd asked for a manager, NOT POSSIBLE, I was given a number got a guy who knew nothing who said I reached him because no one was available at the GEEK SQUAD, he was going to transfer me again, so I'd end up likely with him again. The story is so ridiculous I need to ask you, the reader - does this sound like I was given BS? Here's the story: I need a battery ordered for my iPhone. I told Allison, working at Best Buy's geek squad in Santa Rosa today that I would be happy to pay fully for the battery upfront, at the time of order. Allison insisted that wasn't good enough, that she had to be able to keep my phone for 2 to 3 days while she waited for my battery to arrive! What?! She added it is Best Buy's policy. Or she said, I can go to an Apple Store. Yes, we all know we can go to Apple stores Alison. But that's not the point, is it? It just so happens this store is closest. What terrible customer service Geek Squad/Best Buy. I can't even pay for my new battery upfront so I can keep my phone? Such inflexibility for a customer service, to expect people to leave their cell phones with them - for their convenience! Obviously, you think we are here for you not the other way around. Brought my drone in for a minor software issue. The estimate for repair was that it would take a week, two at the most. It has been over a week and I cant get ahold of anybody. I've tried to get ahold of somebody at the geek squad desk but nobody is picking up the phone. Ive called multiple times and have stayed on hold for upwards of 15 minutes. The repair status tracker on the website hasnt been updated in 10 days. I have no idea where my drone is or when I can expect to get it back. Huge waste of time using geek squad. I purchased the geek squad for 1 yr. I needed help with the computer I purchased at Best Buy. Called their geek squad and waited nearly 1/2 hr. Got a rep that promptly disconnected me. Called again. 45 min wait and got someone who could help. He took my phone number and accessed the computer. While working in the computer, we got disconnected again. He never called back or finished working on the computer(Gmail had disappeared). Waited again and had to start all over. The tech was unable to help. $125 for nothing. I recently had Geek Squad in Santa Maria relocate my XM antenna to the roof of my rv. I had previously received an estimate from a reputable RV repair facility for 3 hours minimum labor. Brian at Geek Squad estimated 1.5 hours and actually did the work in 1.25 hours. Brian did an outstanding job using an existing roof penetration and totally hiding all the interior wiring. I can highly recommend Brian at Geek Squad. read more

Wanna here how this business is trash? Let me tell you! You buy a $600 watch. It stops working for absolutely no reason. You purchase all the warranties you return to the store a month later to drop off or return. You are there talking to someone for 15 minutes on the process in which you have to schedule an appointment in order to drop off the watch. The only appointment they have is 3 days later. The appointment takes 5 minutes. So in the 15 minutes it took the guy to explain the process and to set up an appointment to DROP OFF A WATCH he could've just taken my watch and sent it off. I've had Geek Squad online for years. When I joined, as I recall, it was $100 a year, and is it ever worth it! (800-433-5778). If for any reason I'm having a problem I cal them and they with a few strokes of the keys, take over your computer and fixes whatever the problem is. It's amazing. There have been times that the computer needed something done which couldn't be done online. Since it's difficult for me to get around I pay to have Adam (a Geek himself) come to my home. Anyone can have a Geek come to their home even if they are not Geek members, but it costs $100. If you're a member it is $50. I've had Adam come 3 times and each time the $ has been well worth it. Being disabled you understand and appreciate all of these techs. I can't say enough good things about Geek Squad! read more

I bought a new PC because my old Windows 7 was no longer supported and had malware issues to boot. I am also very electronically illiterate so I made an appointment with the Geek Squad. I was given a time range of arrival but the day before they they called and text me that the time was reduced to a two hour window for service. Our tech was Cristian and what a joy he was to work with. He was prompt, efficient, answered all my questions, was professional (down to booties over his shoes) and will be our appointed go to person for any issues in the future. Well worth the money. I will also be setting up an appointment for him to come back and transfer documents from the old PC to the new. Thank you Geek Squad. read more

Excellent tv and Blu-Ray player install and syncing all with our Comcast system, by Steve and Sebastian! They even packed up the tv I was returning to Amazon. BUT now let's talk about what the Geek Squad company CHARGES, though. Ugh. $200 for 45 minutes is pretty shocking!! ...especially since the wall bracket was already installed and the 2 ft access hole [from the Comcast box & dvd player up to the mounted tv] was already cut/made and trimmed-out nicely. I will be hiring a different company/individual for future e-installs. :+( read more
