I have an issue with my You Tube Channel. I was on with the Geek squad 5 1/2 hours and it has not been fixed. Of you are lucky, you might get a top notch technician. I had one tech person get nasty with me. Two hung up on me. I was not nasty and did not raise my voice. They have the ability to end a call and there are no consequences. I pay a annual fee and then paid for a technician to come to my home. I unfortunately dropped my new samsung s 22 ultra last night. I called and made an appointment with the Geek squad at bay parkway the following day, same day appointment. The staff was prompt, professional, and was able to fix my screen my screen the same day. I could not be happier and more appreciative. I don't recommend using geek squad at this location.Extremely unprofessional and rude.I spent over $2000 on cameras.They gave me an appointment For Two weeks later ,I took off of work for the Appointment only for them not to show up.After finally getting through to them they were on able to reschedule or allow me to speak to a manager.I was never refunded my installation money. read more

I took my non-logging-in computer here. The 'geek' took one look at it as he booted up and confirmed the obvious; "can't log in". That's why they're the experts, folks. He proceeded to MASH HIS HANDS over the keyboard in the hopes of hitting a magic button or combination, pulling up some screen that would remedy the situation, then plugging his mouse into every USB port and other orifice, to get the mouse to move. You'd think you would have to pay up front for this kind of excellent service, but nope, diagnostics like that are free, folks! So anyway, he figured that all was not lost; it was likely a windows problem, that he'd take the hard drive out and back up any info I needed from there. He didn't want to do a windows reinstall, which wasn't from laziness, but knowing that I had some computer skills, figured he could save me some $ by saying "doing it yerself." Fair enough. He said it would take 5 business days; it took more like 12 (business days). Everything I needed (digital pictures and mp3's mainly) was put onto 2 DVD/R's most of which work (some got corrupted, waddaya gonna do). I reinstalled Windows and all is running well enough for Windows. So they get a couple stars for that. When you get there though, you'll see a lot of techs around, but you will stand there like a tool with your computer until one of the guys decides to stop hitting on that girl (boobs=service), and by the looks of it, he's not nearly done..... ...as it turns out, nope the geeks don't get the girls. Geek squad has sold my family three computers over the last 6 years, and they've done 4-5 services for us over the years as well. Sadly, the antivirus software they sold us didn't keep us from getting some virus trojans and we had to take it in to have them removed for $200 by the Geek Squad agents. We've had them set up our wireless printer for all our family members computers as well, and a few other minor things. Not being very technically inclined myself I tend to trust people 100% with this type of thing, especially when you're paying them a lot of money, you would expect to get the work done correctly. I found out Geek squad wasn't doing their job correctly and instead doing it to the detriment of my families expensive machines that we rely on for work, and school, etc when I consulted a computer repair company that I found online. They were able to diagnose my issue that related to the wireless network, that geek squad set up, and malware virus traces that geek squad was able to remove. They found the traces were installed on the machine before the service call of geek squad. This particular company I have started using for all my computer repair needs. Even if it is a hardware issue, I will still use Secure Remote Support to do the repair. Their service is far superior to geek squad in the sense that you go to their website, secureremotesupport.com and talk to the tech and he does your repair. Theres no wait, instand turn around, unlike the geek squad where we were without our computers for a couple of days AT THE LEAST! I would suggest atleast getting a quote from Secure Remote Support before taking your machine to Geek Squad. Even choosing a local company over Geek Squad is preferred. Good luck, and stay away from the geek squad. They have caused too many problems in my machine. Secure Remote Support provides a much better user experience. read more

I made an appointment with the Geek Squad because I was not able to play a DVD on my DVD player attached to a TV purchased at Best Buy a few months ago. They came and resolved the problem but at a heavy cost to my video equipment. Now, I my attached TIVO machine does not work and they messed up my TV by deleting various icons including my TIVO icon. I have access to only a few channels on live TV. Obviously I was only looking to see that they rectified the DVD problem and did not check for the damage that they inflicted on my TV. To make matters worse, I had to buy a second HDMI line which they used to screw up my equipment, When I called up Best Buy to complain, they said that they don't make 1 day appointments and the next appointment available was on June 15. So even though my TV equipment was totally messed up, I could not get them to come back and fix the damage that the Geek Squad did and I would have to wait for more than a week to get it rectified. This is totally irresponsible that they don't come back and fix it immediately if they were the cause of the problem. If you do decide to turn to the Geek Squad for help, which I do not recommend, be sure that all the elements of your TV equipment are working before they leave your premises. I now have a check list of everything they screwed up. If you don't, you'll be waiting for a long time before they come back and fix it. read more

I took my computer to the Geek Squad at Best Buy hoping for a good experience. Truth is...it was awful! The "agents" have NO customer service skills, very little computer skills, could not tell me what they had actually done to my computer, could not tell me when it would be ready, and could not answer the most basic computer questions. I was told my computer would take five days to repair and now four weeks later I still do not have my computer back! The worst part, I was asked to pay upfront for "diagnostic and repair." Problem is, no repairs have actually been made, they are trying to charge me even more money (on top of the $215 I've already paid) and they did not actually repair anything. Geek Squad is awful. Do not take your computer repair to Geek Squad. read more
