Miss this. Remarkable. Can't get enough of this aussie stuff. Pies, sausage rolls. Let's do it.

They all reflect some kind of ambivalent emotional response- vindictive even…read more We have been coming here since they opened, and frequented his prior establishment at the Silk Mill. Nowt a bad experience. The menu is appropriate to the wine. This is a Wine Bar- that is the focus. Jason, the proprietor knows his trade very well, and is not bashful to discuss it, his passion for it, and his history in said trade. Said passion runs thoroughly deep, and his wealth of knowledge may even supersede this. The monthly Wine Dinners showcase his unending search for lesser known, and often hard to find wines within the contiguous United States- Jason being an ex-pat Aussie. I've come to expect a bit of a story and charade with each dinner- and experience. I like that the sampled wines are all generally for sale. The food is usually paired very well, and executed as such. There do seem to be a regularly rotating staff, but that's irrelevant to the experiences. It's his show. Sometimes the portions can be a bit too large at the dinners, and that says a lot for the price- very fair. As for the restaurant proper, the portions are fine. His curated charcuterie board is spectacular, and local. The Bavarian aspect is appreciated quite well. I miss Zum Stammtisch in NY- now, that does not mean this is a German Restaurant, but there are enough influences and pop-up fare that ist es wunderbar! His schnitzels are always thin as paper, crispy as seashells, and delightfully tasty. We always have the German Fare when it's available, as it so often it. For a state populated by/with so many Germans, this is THE ONLY good true German food around. The overall decor is a bit dim (lighting) and old world European- this is not negative- I prefer this to modern settings. There is a 'secret' Narnia room which is reserved for parties of 12 or more. I quite like the concept- though have not used it- had the tour. Again, the wine list is incredibly extensive, and you can always find what you want. Ask. Then, visit the curated wine shop next door! Truly one of a kind. That's another review. Book the specialty dinners weeks in advance as they generally sell out, but pop on a standard night, as there are usually a few tables open. Sit at the bar and chat with the staff about the wines- it's an adventure.

While the food wasn't personally my favorite, a few dishes stood out--especially the Roman-style grilled artichoke, which had the perfect crispness, along with the lobster ravioli and the German apple cake, which was nicely balanced and not overly sweet. The flavors overall leaned earthy, which may just not be my personal preference, as my parents love this place and are regulars. I would definitely come back for wine and appetizers. The restaurant offers authentic German cuisine and is truly unique, with nothing else quite like it in the Lehigh Valley.

I like the expansive square footage of the space and the ample bar seating. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My work compadre and me swung by on a Thursday afternoon for lunch. We had first heard of the place due to a viral video about a chicken sandwich, so we got that. The size of the sandwich was plentiful but the chicken itself was on the dry side and it didn't come out piping hot. I think it may have been sitting under a warmer for a while. I don't understand why it was so viral. There was also something wrong with the Sprite, so they changed the gun. The sandwich did not come with fries, so we had to order those extra. The fries/chips were delicious though: plump, crispy, and well-seasoned. My meal including two Cokes came to $47 including tax and tip. That is way too expensive. It's too bad because I really liked the space and atmosphere, which the staff did a good job of adding to. But considering the square footage, I understand, to some extent.

They had outdoor seating some people were occupying at the time. I had a glass of wine and the rigatoni. The menu is pretty small, especially if you are a vegan or vegetarian. Thought it was weird that the bartender was organizing glasses and other back of house things before getting to my glass of wine. I was sitting at the counter so I could see what was going on in the back. Odd way of prioritizing tasks when the restaurant was essentially empty. Prices are average for the area. Service was ok. I see this place is always crowded on weekends but not sure why, it was pretty run of the mill.

So I read the address that was on Instagram to confirm, and he said that's it. I decided to support another business, but my friend convinced me to try this spot because the food is good. I wasn't sure if it was a food truck or a brick-and-mortar. As I pulled up I saw it was a gas station. Once I entered, I explained the bad customer service I received over the phone. After going back and forth with the owner about how rude the telephone conversation was. Remember, I asked what is the address. I never asked for directions. I decided at that moment after a 30-minute drive to not order anything for myself. My sister ordered naked wings with fries. The order was $13. I tried the wings, and they were fried without seasoning. The garlic sauce was watery...it wasn't thick. The fries weren't crispy. The entire experience made me sick to my stomach. So many officers recommend this place. Save your money & your gas. The customer service is trash. Waste of time!!! I ended up at a different restaurant where I spent $50, and the chicken was seasoned to perfection. Bad customer service ruins businesses! This was the first and last time I will ever come to this gas station. Disgusted!!!! As you can see two different sets of info. So yes! WHAT IS YOUR ADDRESS?
