First time getting Threaded and I am hooked! Kusome was so gentle and educated me on why this method was best for me since I didn't have a lot of brow. The simple clean up was amazing! I was referred to this location in particular and so glad. You do wear a mask while getting brows done and she wears a mask as well. I wish I did a before and after picture to show the dramatic difference because it was very noticeable and I was amazed and pleased. It's in a great area, just look for the orange awning and enjoy the experience. The parking an be a bit annoying but there is a parking lot behind the shops and restaurant. I will be back! read more

Today was my first time coming here. I made an appointment for 10:30 but I'm fairly sure I could have just walked in, as it was morning on a Wednesday. I got my eyebrows threaded and the woman who did them did an excellent job. I was in and out in 20 minutes, despite the brush fire that my eyebrows came in looking like. It is inexpensive, and they do an excellent job of maintaining quarantine procedures. I will be sure to be back. read more

It's time for an update. I've been going to GBS Browz since 2014, every two weeks. Kusum is my girl. How I didn't get her phone number before Coronavirus Quarantine started is just beyond me, because let me tell you, right now if you asked me who I want to see most when I get out of quarantine the list is #1) my mom #2) Kusum. My favorites list in my phone is literally (I sh*t you not) my family, then GBS. Throughout quarantine I've been staring at my eyebrows every day in horror as they slowly grow thicker and longer than ever before. Kusum knows what she's doing- unfortunately though, lots of people have now realized this and there's usually a line out the door for Kusum. Fingers crossed that I will be able to get an appointment when this is all over. You don't know what you've got until it's gone, folks. read more

Christine was phenomenal! She left me feeling sexy, confident and I got exactly what I asked! My eyebrows look amazing. It was my first time with her , it's been a few days and I'm still in love with my eyebrows. Thanks again! Can't wait to come back read more

I have utilized the services for several years in the West Hartford Farmington Avenue location. They have sacrificed during this pandemic to insure we are able to look our best and it is appreciated. They have been extra careful adhering to CDC guidelines. They are always accommodating, and kind. If anyone has an issue with there service, please work it out and not use this platform to tarnish there business. Pamela Hippolyte West Hartford resident read more

I've been coming here for years. I walked into today to get my normal clean up. The owner directed me to get my eyebrows done by this worker I've never seen before, she looked new. I didn't say anything because I'd assume she was just as skilled as the owner, whom I normally go to. I can tel through your the service she was really new as it took her while to even get the thread started then she took breaks in between to fix the thread. She took an abnormal amount of time to my brows. Once finished, I looked in the mirror and was so disappointed. I had asked for my brows to be kept thick and just get a clean up but received thinned out and uneven brows. the owner couldn't do anything about it at that point and just apologized. She even said one side was higher than the other, admitting that they were not even. I paid for my service but I shouldn't have had to do that. The worker did the opposite of what I asked for. The owner was also on her phone watching videos. She knows I typically see her so instead of her getting up and doing my brows she had someone else do it while she scrolled on her phone. Terrible experience. 0/10 recommend. Please be advised by my experience and try avoid the experience I had. read more

I love gbs! i have been going here ever since I was in 5th or 6th grade (now going into college) and I can never say that I have had a bad experience! the staff are all wonderful, and there is generally a short wait- the longest I've ever waited here was 10 minutes! It is a small, quiet shop that is very relaxing. They offer so many services and also have beautiful high quality jewelry at sensible prices- my piercings have always been sensitive and I've never had a bad reaction to any of the jewelry sold here. I highly recommend getting eyebrow threading here! read more

I hosted a Henna Party and GBS Brows created Henna tattoos for each of my guests. We loved the designs!

I usually get my eyebrows threaded at another salon in West Hartford. For whatever reason they were closed, and I was in desperate need of taming my wild brows. I was in the center and decided to give this place a try. The salon is very clean and the two ladies working were very nice and professional. The lady who threaded my brows made sure to ask how I liked them shaped which was a plus. However one brow came out perfect and the other one not so much. They weren't shaped the same, one brow was thicker (what i prefer) and shaped better than the other. It wasn't obvious at first glance but it became very noticeably over time. Besides that my overall experience was good and I if I return, I will make sure I inform them to please make sure my brows are evenly shaped. read more

Okay normally I see a woman here who has since moved to the park rd location. Today I came in and there's a new girl here and my eyebrows are already tattooed in and she still somehow changed the shape of it by taking off too much from the front of my brows. So now one eyebrow is smaller than the other. They need to train their staff properly. I'm really disappointed and I have to wait 2 weeks for these to grow back. Also the girl wasn't even apologetic and didn't try to fix it. I won't be returning to this location. read more

I love this place so much! I've been going here for years now and the lady that does my eyebrows has never messed up. She threads so beautifully every time, I can always count on her! I would 100% recommend this place! read more

This threading place is not recommended she's! The lady that was doing my threading was not polite or nice and rude, she was talking while doing me eye brow NOT focused on their work! I asked for angle eyebrows they did curve. My original eyebrow shape disappeared. She also did not trim eyebrow or pluck extra hair. Please don't come here! read more

I recently discovered this place on my lunch break. So far I've been back twice. They never do my eyebrows too thin, they shape them well, & only trim them when needed. The service is fast & efficient. I'm so happy I found this place ! read more

I usually go to GBS in Newington and I really like them and they do a good job. This was my first and last time ever here. Rude women did my eyebrows and made right eyebrow SO THIN and I nicely said it's thin and I didn't want it like that and she rolled her eyes and said no it's fine. I'm just so angry and pissed off they hold their heads high like they didn't make a mistake. She ruined my eyebrows and didn't apologize or even try to fix it. Just a terrible place and I hope that women gets what she deserves. Rude service and a awful job. Do not get your eyebrows done here if you like the style of a one super thin and one thick read more

They do a mostly good job of eyebrows but they're not the nicest. A little rude and curt but if you can get over that your eyebrows will look fine read more

Such bad customer service, stood outside for 45 minutes and 5 ppl that came after me were taken in front of me. Was completely disrespected by another customer and the lady allowed her to still go in front of me without taking into account that I had been waiting. Would never go back! read more

I usually get threaded by someone in Avon, but she was on vacation over Christmas and I needed my brows done, badly. Stopped into GBS at 12:30 on a weekday during lunch and was seen within 10 minutes. There was a comfortable seating area to wait in, which was a plus. The threading was quick and cheap and cost me about $20 plus tip for eyebrows and upper/lower lip. I still prefer my place in Avon, but this place is great in a pinch and very affordable. read more

This was my first time getting my eye brows threaded so I didn't know what to expect. But it wasn't that painful at all! The whole process only took a few minutes and came out amazing. I will absolutely be going back and highly recommend it! read more

I always get the best compliments on my eyebrows. Love this place. Never going back to waxing and never going anywhere else for threading.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this threading salon. They're fast and precise and I always leave with perfect eyebrows. Before moving back to Hartford I was in MA and I would literally wait to get my eyebrows done till I visited friends in Hartford so I could come here. For only $10 and great service, this place is a true hidden gem! read more

Great place in West Hartford for threading! The woman was quick and even though there was a line of about six ladies, she was able to help me quickly. read more

Love the way eyebrow threading makes my brows look...so much better than plucking or waxing! That's all I've ever come here for and they always to a great job... read more

I've had two bad times going here. They take too much off my brows. I've been growing them out for a while and she took way too much off. Not going back. read more

Checked this place out since it was close t my house. Very friendly staff. Clean place. She did a great job. I took a star off for pricing. In Brooklyn i usually pay 7 however this place charges men 12 bucks even though on the wall it said 10. I didn't feel like questing so I just paid. Not sure why it is so much maybe because its in west hartford. read more

This place is nothing fancy but they do an excellent job threading eyebrows. Conveniently located but sometimes parking in the area is an issue. Quick and friendly service, reasonably priced. Highly recommend and I will continue to use the service. read more

Got a Brazilian wax. I didn't catch the techs name but she was great. The best wax I have ever gotten. I will for sure be back

I've gone here two times with two different women doing my eyebrows and both times I've been pleased and my eyebrows always look great! My first time going was my first time ever getting my eyebrows done and although it did hurt they looked great afterwards. The women are quick and efficient. Overall a great place! read more

Horrible customer service - the employees seem to act like the last thing they want to be doing is threading your eyebrows. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded at different places for 6 years and this is the first place where the worker would wipe my eyebrows with a tissue and then throw the tissue full of hair on my chest. Disgusting!!!! Will never go back. read more

Just moved from California and my eyebrows were in desperate need. This place is very conveniently located in West Hartford. They are very friendly and the service is Excellent!! My eyebrows are perfect! Prices are very reasonable... I was paying much more in California. I will definitely be making this my regular threading shop! read more

I had Kusum do my eyebrows yesterday and she did an amazing job. My eyebrows are clean and shaped to the perfect thinness that I want. I will definitely come back and have Kusum do my eyebrows again read more

Finding a good eyebrow place in Hartford was almost impossible. I came here all throughout college and they were great. I only saw Kusum--she works Weds through Sunday. She's the best and the greatest. They also give you a frequent punch card. Get there early though as this place is busy. And they accept tip on credit card. read more

Have had my eyebrows done several times here. Always seen right away. Clean, they even wear gloves when working, which I like. The woman working there this morning was extremely friendly, we had a wonderful conversation and she did a great job on my brows. Will continue to come back! read more

I love this place - the women here always make my plain jane eyebrows look phenomenal and I always leave with a little confidence boost. I'll never go anywhere else! read more

Great place! Had never done threading before I went here (always got my eyebrows waxed) but now it's all I do! Hurts a little more than waxing in my opinion - mostly since it takes longer - but I definitely think it's worth it. My eyebrows last a lot longer without needing to be done again, and I think they look better, although not sure whether that is a testament to threading in general or just this place! Only 2 minor complaints. One is that I've noticed I get charged different prices sometimes. I don't know if it has to do with having a different person, or how long I've waited between visits (i.e. less work the less time in between getting brows done). Either way, it's all with in a couple of dollars so doesn't make a huge difference to me. My only other complaint is they have very bright lights right above the chairs where they do the threading. The only reason this is a problem is because you have to lean your head back for them to work, and for myself, who's eyes water super easily from just the threading itself, the bright lights can be a pain! I usually just try and keep my eyes closed the whole time for that reason, but if I have to open them it makes my watery eye problem a lot worse, which can be a little embarrassing! read more
