Gazzerro Towing Inc - Says they are always open on Face Book. They are NOT. EXTORTION plain and simple - Towing Near Me - Thorndale, Pennsylvania

This place is awful. A scam and a sham. They towed every car out of the old kmart parking lot and then suggested they had put up signage all over the parking lot. I walked through the parking lot and could only find 2 signs, both very small. They were kind enough to only charge $250 to tow the car less than 1000 ft to their storage, as apparently they are able and allowed to charge more. They were also kind enough to inform me that the lot had been posted for a week and they've been watching the lot for a week before they started towing cars. "If they didn't do it, another towing company would and those people wouldn't have given us any breaks". Wow, I really felt the compassion. Thorndale isn't some huge metropolitan area. They must have towed a dozen cars out of that lot that are just decent hard working people trying to save a buck to get to work. No one there was trying to break any laws or get away with anything other than save not have to give Septa yet another $240 dollars a year for parking. I don't know how long they have been in business, but they just impounded a dozen cars of what could have been future customers. They could have put a flyer on the cars and announced this was now "This property is privately held and cars would be towed starting on such and such a day, Please consider using our towing services in the future!" I'd have sung their praises and used their towing company had the need arisen. Now they have a $3000 dollars in their pocket, but lost the future business of many potential customers.... from their neighbors. They care about their money, thats for sure. But they could have forged much greater good will had they shown a little heart toward a bunch of people that couldn't even find their little signs in the pre-dawn hours. I'll never use their towing services, nor anyone in my family, nor any friends that ever ask about local towing. But I'm sure they sleep well at night knowing they were within their rights and they did the right thing... read more

Company is horrible, an absolute rip off. They act like they are taking care of you & then when you have their work reviewed by 2 other separate shops - both say they charged for work they didn't complete & over charged for the work they claimed to have done. Do not trust them, especially with older cars - they prey on working people. read more

*UPDATE* I was told I had until March 16th to come in in person to resolve the issue we were having (I was told the issue could not be taken care of over the phone).  I arrived at the address for the company before March 17 during their normal business hours only to find that no one was there...  is this place for real?! I called the number they have listed and spoke with a man who confirmed that no one was at the office and said that I could come back later the following week.  This company needs more organization and better customer service!  I am NOT a happy paying customer. read more

Driving home from work and hit debris on route 30. Blew out both passenger side tires. State police called for a tow and Gazzerro answered. They arrived quickly and allowed me to ride beach to the shop in the truck, something AAA was not going to allow due to "covid". When we got back to the shop my car was quickly unloaded and they checked the battery and tires right away and ordered new tires for me. The next day by noon the car was ready to go and the owner provided my with pictures her had taken so I could submit a claim to both insurance and AAA. Was very pleased with the services and help the owner and staff offered. I hope not to ever again be stranded on route 30 but if anyone ever needs car hell in thorndale I'm happy to recommend Gazzerro! read more

This company takes advantage of others peoples misfortunes. 250 dollar charge for a 2 mile tow. Then 50 dollars per day for a storage fee.

This shop has been really, really good to me. The owner, Frank, does not hesitate to talk to you about your vehicle and what it may or may not need. The office keeps good records and will refer to them if you have questions about repairs they have done for you in the past. At one point I had to take my vehicle in and the initial thought was that there was a water pump/thermostat problem. I mentioned that I seemed to remember that they had replaced those parts not long ago. They took the time to look at their records and were able to confirm that they did in fact recently(within several months) replace both the water pump and thermostat. Frank assured me that if they had failed they were likely still under warranty and then proceeded to find what was actually wrong and made the proper fix. The woman who usually answers the phone is excellent as well. She is very knowledgeable and takes the time to walk through with you exactly what they have found and what your options are. I referred a friend who lives out near Oxford and due to his satisfaction he will only take his cars to this shop. P.S. About a year ago I had an issue with the bearings on my boat trailer and figured I would give it a shot asking Frank about. He seemed a little bit hesitant at first which is completely understandable but asked me to bring it down to have a look. He looked at it for about 5 mins. and determined the problem and that he could fix it even with the boat still on it. Can't say enough. Great service. read more

Avoid this company at all costs!!!! The woman who answers the phone needs a personality update.she is miserable and rude she will refuse to allow you to retrieve your personal belongings from the vehicle until the bill is paid which is against pa law!!!!in over 43 years in the automotive industry she was the reason that we avoided using them and I will ask my friends that are shop owners in their area not to use them I also plan on contacting the police and making sure my complaint goes on file when their contact comes up for review read more

This is a predatory towing company. A number of people, myself included, had been parking in the Kmart lot in Thorndale and walking to the train station daily for years. This company posted tiny one foot square signs in the parking lot that you need to be less than five feet from to read, then waited days until there were enough cars parked there to tow them all at $250 each. The cars were towed less than a quarter mile. They could have put a note on each cars windshield asking that we not park there, but that would not have been profitable. Would definitely recommend this shop to anyone without hesitation!!! It' a 'hidden' gem across from the Caln Elementary in Thorndale - talk about an extremely honest and fair mechanic/shop; yes, there is such a place and Gazzerro Towing is it!!!! They truly find the best quality tires/parts when needed with the lowest cost they can possibly pass on to the customer. I have four vehicles in my household and Gazzerro will now have all our business!! read more
