I've never used the company and officially a black tow truck from your business just trailed my bumper, almost hit my car and was swerving side to side and into oncoming traffic to try and get around me going the speed limit in a very residential neighborhood with schools... good thing you're a towing company with reckless drivers like you have working for you. read more

Super fast response. Arrived in 20minutes gave us a jump. Reasonable price, excellent communication. Saved the day on a cold Friday night when my wife was trapped by herself with a stalled car. read more

Called South Philly Towing after Audi roadside assistance effectively abandoned me and couldn't figure out how to dispatch a driver to my location. Mike jumped in his truck right away, despite me being ~40 minutes away. Once he got to me, he took care while loading my car onto the flatbed, and he was generally pleasant, a welcome surprise from dealing with other towing companies in the past. I gave him my keys and he dropped the car off at my shop without me having to ride with him, and sent me a picture afterwards which gave me peace of mind. Mike and the team at South Philly Towing actually care about customer service, which is a wonderful breath of fresh air compared to other towing companies. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I called to request service and the person on the phone was very professional and friendly. Quoted a price and offered service within the hour. Driver was right on time, excellent, careful and attentive. I would definitely use them again. You pay for high quality service. No hidden fees, no hassle. read more

ABOVE AND BEYOND So grateful for quick response time. The driver was outstanding. Answered all questions and talked me through my options with patience and kindness. Highly recommend South Philly Towing. read more

I would not recommend South Philly towing. First the driver tells you what you want to hear about towing your car and then take it out of the city limits to avoid the city's regulations on towing. My car was towed to Lester Pa and then held hostage until the $4000 dollar towing and storage bill was paid by Progressive. I had asked for the car to be towed to Pacifico because it was a 2022 model but the driver took it upon himself to take it to Ciccione Tinicum Autobody and because I didn't want them to fix it, got the money another way. Beware of their towing practices. read more

Very responsive, and quick service. Needed to tow the car from one shop to another first thing in the morning. They had it done ASAP and as a result the second shop was able to provide same day service (as opposed to waiting a week). Called around 8:40 am and they had it done by 9:15. Guy on the phone was very helpful and friendly. Would use again, though hopefully not needed. read more

Removed a car that parked in front of my garage. Good communication. Reliable. Got that car out even in close quarters.

I'd give zero stars if possible. My elderly friend's car fell into a massive sink hole on my street and we were told to call South Philly Towing by a local mechanic. The mechanic said it would be about $75. That is what they charge hi to pick up a car, bring it to the mechanic's garage, and to unload it. All the tow truck did was pull my friend's car out of the hole which took all of 30 seconds. They took a long time to get to us and when he did, he charged $300!!! The guy towing said that he was charging us this extremely high price because it's an unusual situation. Yes. It is somewhat unusual (this happens a lot in the old parts of the city) but to gouge someone because you have them in a difficult spot, not of their making, is highly unethical, in my opinion. read more

South Philly really came through! I had an incident were there garage in my new place damaged my car and I was stuck halfway in the garage and alley. Best in the business. Reliable, professional and timely. I have had requested services several times and have had interactions with several employees and every interaction was great. Thank you South Philly Towing. read more

I had both a mechanic and another tow company recommend them. My car no longer drove so I needed to tow the car to the place that I was going to sell it. I called several times to request a quote so that I could weigh where I should take it and they gave me a fair price each time. When I decided on a place the dispatcher and I had a bit of a miscommunication and he wasn't able to tow me the night that he said he'd get my car. We worked it out and he booked me for the next day. I called the next day to make sure we were good and instead they offered to meet me where I was instead of having me Uber to where my car was again just to give them the key. It was a great way to make a customer happy again! Michael towed my car and kept me up to date with the status of the tow. I even had a question a couple hours later and he was able to answer and help me. Thanks Philly towing! read more

After waiting three hours for AAA and being told it would be another four hours, we called South Philly Towing. Albert the dispatcher immediately made me feel that we would be well taken care of. In less than an hour, Miguel and his flatbed truck appeared. He got my car onto the truck amazingly quickly, he was a very personable companion for the ride home, and he unloaded my car as quickly as he had loaded it. From start to finish, I was completely satisfied, and I am someone who is rarely completely satisfied. My car problems occurred in Center City, and I live in Chestnut Hill; they cover much more than just South Philadelphia. Mary LK read more

Mike was amazing, a Houdini really! He managed to get my car out from the top floor of a low-ceiling garage, with 6 hairpin turns and a nearly 90 degree turn at the bottom. It looked physically impossible, but somehow he did it! He gave me a ride back to New Jersey in the tow truck and was very pleasant and fun to talk with. All in all, he was the silver lining in a bad day. Can't imagine that towing services get any better than this!!! read more

My car was on the 4th floor of a parking garage. Mike's truck couldn't get cleared into the garage. Mike helped me push my car out of the spot and get to the main floor. South Philly towing responded to my Yelp call- and actual phone call- right away over a long holiday weekend. They gave me sound advice to my numerous questions and came to my home in less than 10 minutes. They gave me clear pricing on the phone ahead of time so I could make an informed decision too. South Philly local $75 cash $89 credit. Bonus, the drive even dropped me back off after the auto repair shop said it would be a few hours. The staff was kind friendly and courteous. I was expecting the typical towing company that was just out to take advantage and charge hundreds- they far exceeded expectations. read more

Great service. The person who helps me was super professional and friendly. I needed to tow my work van around 3 am.

I recently spent my Friday afternoon in hell, stranded on the side of 676E into rush hour. My warranty company called a tow company, aka Satan, who never showed up. (*Please refer to review of "Just Towing Transport and Recovery" for more details.*) In any event, after waiting for over 4 hours, my roadside assistance called South Philly Towing. (For my own sanity, I also called another towing company to hail to my rescue in the event they also decided my fateful distress wasn't important enough to respond to. I needed a backup. A sidejawn. Someone to keep it interesting.) My tow arrived and I was rescued. However (and this is where this review comes in) I got several missed calls and a voicemail from Albert from South Philly towing concerned with my whereabouts and wanting to know if I was okay. He even went so far as to text me and ask if I was assisted by another tow (which I was), if I was out of harms way, and asking me to check in with him when I could. Once I was able, I returned his text and he responded again expressing sympathetic thoughts and making sure I arrived home and wishing me a nice weekend. While I didn't use their service, I will say that next time I am stranded or in need of a tow, I will be calling Albert. I thought his concern was really telling that this company takes their business seriously, and they care about people. Several days have passed and I am still smiling at the customer service from South Philly Towing. read more

My landlord entered into an agreement with South Philly tow for his parking spaces behind his apartment buildings. I am a new tenant with a parking spot and someone was illegally using my space. There was no note on the car so I was forced to call the number on the sign which is South Philly tow. They sent a tow quickly, got the car out fast so I can use my space. If you are someone who needs to enter an agreement with a tow company id use these guys. If you got towed by these guys, you obviously did something wrong. read more

Driver was very professional and helpful, I barely had to do anything. He was there pretty quickly after having to play a little phone tag with the dispatcher, but it happens. Got charged $240 for a tow to New Jersey - a little steep, but the cost is what it is. Here is what irritates me: I explained my scenario to the dispatcher, he never mentioned anything. The vehicle is already on the truck when the driver tells me he can drop me off with the vehicle in New Jersey, but can't drive me back to Philly. I'm putting the vehicle in storage, I have no ride home, I'm not even asking you to go out of your way. I didn't ask why - it could be "the rules", it could be insurance, it could just be you are in a bad mood, but I just gave you $240, you can't even drop me off at the subway? You're just going to drop the vehicle and leave me stranded 50 miles from home in 95 degree weather? I appreciate the service, I definitely paid a fair price for it, I appreciate the drivers effort in ensuring our safety and the safety of the vehicle. But I would never put someone out like that. I shudder to think it's ever happened to an elderly person or someone without means. read more

I called at 9:30 this morning to see if I could get my car towed from Camden to Cherry Hill. He estimated that it would be between 1.5 to 2 hours. Three hours later at 12:40, he texted me to say that his driver would call me in a "lil bit" and coordinate. An hour later at 1:40, I called back to say that I hadn't heard from his driver, and he promised to call the driver right away. Never heard back so I called at 2:30 to cancel my request, and still no answer. I called Cherry Hill Super Tow instead and they were much more responsive. read more

I am SOOOOOO grateful to Mike at South Philly towing for saving the day for me when I was broken down on the shoulder of vine street expressway. My Allstate roadside assistance was absolutely no assistance and could not even get my location where I was broken down correct OR get me a tow company that would help me out of my dangerous and very stressful situation. Mike was in the middle of coming back from another tow and told me that upfront and when he would be closer to where I was and after many many calls to Allstate and other towing companies, none of which would help me, I called Mike back. He made his way to my location, where I had already been stuck for several hours, quickly got me car hooked up and got me home safely. It was quite an ordeal but Mike's willingness to help me out of this distress with professionalism and a sense of humor helped to make my epically bad day a lot better. We got stuck in Center City with a completely dead car. Called South Philly Towing and the guy answering the phone was super nice, sympathetic, and very helpful. He followed up with is about our location. The towing guy was also really nice, sympathetic, helpful and offered to take us to an ATM (they are in the process enabling credit cards). The car couldn't be put into neutral so it was a little precarious getting the car off the truck but our driver handled it coolly, calmly and professionally. They made a bad situation much better. South Philly Towing - Thank goodness, South Philly to the rescue!!! - Towing Near Me - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Courteous, upfront on cost and responsive. I was parked in a center city garage with a dead battery at rush hour and found South Philly Towing on Yelp. Call was answered (can't say the same for other services I tried) and a cash/credit quote was provided and a 30 minute window given for a tech to arrive. The tech called me to let me know he arrived and to confirm my location, then used a battery jumper to start my car...done in 5 minutes including the credit card swipe. If you are jammed up in the city give them a call. read more

$100 cash for a jump in a garage, $110 to use a card? Not good, you should keep looking for another tow company.

one of the best around!! we have a fully functioning garage in use on a smaller street in south philly which , in the past 8 years or so, gets a higher volume of traffic and parking. when people park in front of our clearly visible garage, blocking us in, we use south philly towing. have a huge sign that says "do not park here, you will be towed" they always come promptly when called and always wait until a police officer tickets the car and runs its' tags. if its a local person, we knock on their door to ask them to move the car so we can get in or out of our garage. they are very fair and respectable guys. they will not tow w/o a ticket. read more

Fucking joke of a company. Scamming people all day. Waited Til I was parked, THEN put up towing signs and towed my car and CONVENIENTLY had someone available at 10pm on a Thursday night to take my money and release my car. Scumbags. I will be suing the shit out of you. In response to your bullshit comment...your office employee straight out admitted it was a scam, gave me your card and told me to sue you. That's pretty bad when your own employees are that quick to throw you under the bus. Typical Philadelphia idiots. read more

Bunch of good guys here, believe me, I hate "yelping" but I just had to. On a rainy Friday, I woke up to a few slashed tires. After a few hours of trying to find a good tow service, I came here.
