I very often have to get cars ticketed and towed that are parked in my clearly marked privately leased off-street parking space. Kudos to LB for always helping me out in a jam - they are extremely helpful. read more

The absolute worst human in the world owns this place. Do not even bother calling he won't do anything and he's a trash human being. He called me a bitch from the start of the conversation when I reported someone parked in my spot and said he won't help despite his signs being posted everywhere. I truly hope this man's business is shut down. What a terrible man. read more

This company represents everything people dislike about towing operations. The tow itself was valid. I made a parking mistake and I am not disputing that. The problem was everything that happened afterward. After my car was towed, the company was nearly impossible to reach. I placed over 20 calls before anyone answered, and even then it took significant effort just to get the address of where my vehicle had been taken. I was instructed to retrieve my vehicle the following day. When I attempted to do so, the yard was closed with no staff on-site, citing snow, despite only minimal snowfall and no apparent safety issue. There was no way to retrieve my vehicle or even access personal belongings inside it. This left me without access to my own car due solely to the company's lack of communication and arbitrary closure. Throughout the process, the behavior was dismissive and unprofessional. Calls were cut short, information was withheld, and basic courtesy was nonexistent. Based on other reviews, this does not appear to be an isolated incident. Property owners and municipalities should think carefully before contracting with a company that operates this way. read more

Completely unprofessional, unethical and rude. Likes to hangup on people. So called employee at Spring Garden lot uses the F word like it's the only word he knows, probably is. He threatened me with a chain, used the N word multiple times, took the car keys after we paid. The car was damaged. Must be paying the cops and officials off because total lack of business decorum is evident. Well I guess the majority of the people on here are wrong about the lack of common decency and professionalism on the named towing company. Odds are they and we are not wrong. The damage WAS caused by your company, I was threatened by your employee and you know you called him to give the keys back because you know that's illegal. The use of the F and N word by your employee is disgusting but that is what you hired to exemplify your name. The run around response is typical of a politician which you failed at . You will be hearing from my attorney for the threats, damage and harassment. Enjoy wannabe politician. KARMA IS THE NAME read more

Lew Blum Towing - Damage from Lew Blum Towing - Towing Near Me - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Mr. Blum was rude, arrogant and most obnoxious. While my car had been in the private lot longer than 90 minutes they towed my car with handicap tags. They didn't know we were dealing with an unexpected medical issue but common decency is expected. Answers to simple, non confrontational questions is not too much to ask. read more

I called the towing company because a vehicle without a parking tag was in my building's parking lot for over an hour with their 4-ways flashing. 3 people tried to use the occupied spot before I called, including a resident with a handicap placard. The spot is still occupied by the car as I type this. The guy I called refused service and hung up before I could explain the situation because 4-ways were flashing on the offending car. Lol, why even put up the signs if you're not going to enforce it. I'm going to recommend that the apartments use a different service willing to do their job. read more

They claim to be 24 hours but they're not. I called very early in morning to retrieve my vehicle, but no one answered until after 9:00 a.m. I told him I'd be in the same day to pick it up. When I arrived, there was no one in sight. They give t ou tye Phield House address and I had no idea where to go, I was instructed by a phield house security guard in the parking lot, who also told me to call nd let them know i was there. I was told that they had just left to do a tow and it'd be about 20 minutes. I waited half an hour before calling them back and they told me that I wasn't paying attention and I missed the tow truck when it came back. this is NOT what happened as I stood outside in the cold the entire time. No tow truck ever came. I was told another 20 mins. Eventually they called back and told me that the tow truck was there and I had missed it again I said that is impossible as I'm still standing outside I now realize the tow trucks come around back and if they advise you to stay in the phield house there's no way for you to know that they've arrived. I highly suggest they confirm a pickup time so that somebody's on property I waited over an hour and a half to retrieve my vehicle. read more

The worst customer service possible - rude, nasty, people immediately upon pickup from a phone call. Don't use them for anything.

IF YOU ARE TOWED GET YOUR VEHICLE CHECKED! We were recently towed. It was our error and I do not dispute the action that was taken. Once we were able to get our vehicle back, it was immediately apparent that there was something wrong with the steering. I drove home very slowly and took my SUV to our local trusted mechanic first thing. He confirmed that the tow truck driver had hooked to an inappropriate part of my vehicle (the tie rods) causing them to twist out of aligment. Luckily the problem was fixable and caused no long term problems as we had identified it quickly. Other than this aspect, the poor communication, long wait time in the cold and dark in a very questionable lot, being yelled at over the phone for having additional questions, muttered swears that were audible as the agent was hanging up the phone, and very unclear instructions were all about as you would expect reading the other reviews. read more

Bad communication was cursing at me and yelling at me because it was the cops mistake and I got my car back without me having to pay so because of that he wouldn't give me the photo and everything of my car to give to the insurance company and was using very disrespectful language saying get it from the fuck**** police and kept hanging up on me read more

The person who answers the phone is impolite and sarcastic. In fact, he is abusive and scares me - he is a very hostile angry person and should not be on the phone with clients. He is the perfect example of deplorable customer service. read more

Back in August 2024, my car was towed from my apartment building in Roxborough after I accidentally parked in another resident's spot. I had just rented the parking space and mixed up the lot numbers, but instead of reaching out to the property manager, my lovely neighbor decided to call a towing company. It was my fault and I admit it. When I went to pick up my car, I noticed that the tow truck driver had damaged it (it resulted in bumper replacement). I later spoke with the towing company's owner, who admitted fault and told me to file a claim through my insurance. After months of my case remaining open with no reimbursement for the damages, they handed it over to a debt collection agency. However, Lew Blum has been ignoring their calls ever since. It's now March 2025, and they still haven't paid. How about showing some basic decency and professionalism by taking responsibility and paying for the damage your driver clearly caused? read more

I needed my own car towed to a repair shop because it was broken down. The guy who answered the phone said something over top of an automated voice telling me the call was being recorded. I said "Hello?" And he started screaming and yelling and then refused to tow my car and hung up on me. My toddler has better emotional regulation than this. Lew. Buddy. Get help. read more

These people are a POS. You call they don't greet themselves or ask what you need they just assume you know what info to provide. You start talking they cut you off and don't answer when you call. The AH that answered kept answering saying "please call someone else" as if I was calling to ask how his day was going. To make matters worse he refused to look for my tag and said he didn't need that info cause he "answers the phone all day". My car was relocated in front of a Lew Blum garage so I know they have my car and I will get it back. read more

The guy who answers the phone is rude and unprofessional. I called in for a tow and he gave me this weird attitude for not providing all the details like 15 seconds into the call? Like sorry I started with hello and not the address. I called him out and then he decided to record the call as if I were the problematic one. I'll be complaining to the property manager to see if they can cancel his contract. read more

Car was towed and they completely damaged the car. Garage owner was reasonable and tried to call to get more information but they didn't get an answer. When I called I was hung up on and screamed at just like these other customers. He also said pictures were supposedly taken but wouldn't send them. That's telling enough. Terrible service and company. If I could give zero stars I would. Would be great if the owner had some basic decency. AVOID AT ALL COST!!! read more

Terrible customer service. He called me a liar when I gave him the street address and stated the apartment does not have a name (which it does not). Very rude and unprofessional. I am calling for them to tow a car which is parked illegally on private property and he hung up on the phone twice. This is honestly very unprofessional behavior and it seems like this is not the first time. This is shameful behavior as a company and should not be how a business runs. read more

Very horrible customer service, the calls goes directly to the owner who yells at you and hangs up on you before you can finish a sentence. If you call back for help, he will put his phone on do not disturb, listen to your voicemail begging for help and call you off a blocked number to tell that he will not help in a loud aggressive tone and hangs up on you. I'm unsure if the gentleman (or lack thereof) is racist, but I will report this company to BBB as well. People like this should not be serving the community. read more

The person who answered the phone when I was simply trying to figure out if my vehicle was towed by this company was completely rude, uneducated and a waste. I had to call these guys to get a car towed that was parked illegally and trapping my car in. The man who picked up the phone was immediately rude and condescending, as if I was inconvenience him by calling. I was also berated for the time I was calling this in, told I should have called hours earlier when I had only just confirmed that the car wasn't meant to be there as I was trying to leave for the day. I've also never had to call a tow company for something like this before, instead of actually explaining the necessary steps the man acted like I was stupid for not knowing I need to contact police first to get the car ticketed even on private property to actually have it towed. This guy was extremely unhelpful, wasted my time and made me feel awful. Call a different tow company if you can. read more

Racist, rude, and crude. My bad for being towed but the "agent" on duty felt the need to berate and curse at me. This was not my first towing experience- this guy was evil! If you are towed I hope it's not Lew Blum- unless you enjoy expensive abuse read more

Great towing service! Lew Blum is a very professional and nice guy . I recommend his towing company.

No customer service in existence. Very very rude on phone and in person but they don't care because you are the one who got your car towed. Been waiting for a hour for someone/anyone to open the gate so I can get my car. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! read more

I'm sitting outside their property in the eraserhood. We've been here 2 hours. Since then, there were employees that could've helped us. The first refused to take an amex, the second, a visa, even though the *a$$hole* on the phone said visa was fine and we had id. These folks are terrible. There's no reason to treat people like this, you take our money, you give us the car back. That's it. Do yourself a favor and call the cops to mediate this transaction from the start, they cannot be trusted, only want cash even though they legally have to take cards and do but punish you for it, and make you wait forever in the cold. I hope karma is a real, you deserve what's coming for ya. Here's a photo of a license plate of the guy that accosted us and wouldn't take the visa. The worst. read more

Zero stars! Worst experience EVER!!! My car was towed, and I was told that they would open at 8am the following morning. I had to wait over 2 hours and call the towing company 4 times to get my car back! Hence, no way to complain and get reparations for such poor customer service!!! read more

the guy I called kept hanging up on me when I asked if he towed my card. a bunch of scammers

All I have to say thank you lew blum for being there when I need you the most. Towing illegal Parker's out of my driveway After police ticket the car. I wish people would not think these tow signs are a joke but they do! and they take the risk of blocking driveways and garages not giving a Sh@$. Let's face it no one likes it when there car gets towed away whether it's PPA or a private tow company so it leads to these illegal Parker's to slander these companies. You're car gets taken because you parked it illegally, plain and simple... Thank you lew blum for helping me all these years keep my right away clear of these risk takers. read more

Listen I understand this is a towing company, and that customer service is not their first priority, but my experience was beyond horrific. My car was towed a couple days ago and I called up their number to get it back. I politely left my name and number on the voicemail and after two hours I decided to call a couple more times--they answered: "STOP CALLING THIS NUMBER, YOU LEAVE ANOTHER VOICEMAIL LIKE THAT AGAIN I'M BLOCKING THIS NUMBER". But that's not it, when the employee finally did come to open the fence to the lot I approached him with my credit card and license. "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING! BACK AWAY AND DON'T GET NOWHERE NEAR ME." You can't make crap like this up, the worst service experience I have ever had. Also, this towing company charges $175 plus a $25 a day fee which if fine, fair enough. I picked up my car the night it was towed, and was told on the phone that it would be $200 dollars. When I was finally given my receipt, they charged me $250. Honestly unbelievable, but hey, lesson learned. Be warned. I feel like in any business, one should know how to talk to people on a human level, but clearly that isn't a priority for this establishment. read more

They scratched my car in multiple places. I called them as I was heading and when I arrived and it still took 30 minutes for anyone to meet me at the gate. I'm fairly sure their property is completely unattended. And the male receptionist I spoke with felt the need to correct my verbiage when I used the phrase "been waiting a minute" to politely suggest I had been made to wait for an excessive period of time in the freezing cold. You're so right, sir, I didn't wait 60 seconds, I waited 1800 seconds. Expect a 311 complaint. read more
