I have had it with the sloppy, incompetent service at Gault Chevrolet. Four weeks ago I had my tires rotated. Yesterday I got a tire pressure warning, indicating that the front tire on the driver's side was low (29 PSI), when in fact it was within the acceptable range. The opposite tire was low, causing me to suspect that the tire pressure monitor system was not recalibrated after the rotation. Further investigation confirmed that NONE of the sensors was in the correct location. It's also obvious that the tire pressure was not set to the recommended 38 PSI when the rotation was performed; it's not possible that the tire lost 9 PSI in four weeks. In the process of investigating this, I discovered that one of the chrome lug nuts had been replaced with a cheap lug nut, apparently because one of the original lugs was misplaced during the rotation. This is not an isolated incident. A few years ago I drove an entire winter season with a lug nut missing because Gault had left one off. And when I had my mounted summer tires swapped for the snows last spring, the car was returned to me with dangerously low air pressure. I'm paying dealer service rates for this? No more. read more

I purchased a brand new vehicle in 2022, a chevy blazer rs. Early on i had some issues with the glass on the dashboard. I took it in and their service team told me they could not duplicate the sound i was hearing. Ok, no big deal. In September of 2024 I started to get a warning that says Driving Assist is disabled drive with caution. My fan would not shut down when this happened. I would have to disconnect the battery. I finally got an appointment with Gault last week. The service team called me after having my vehicle all day and said " i cannot duplicate the warning light you are getting". I told him again what was happening and was concerned to even drive it. But in his words, "there is nothing i can do without seeing what it is doing". Ok, so when it happens at 9PM, do you want me to call you? I certainly cannot leave my vehicle running wide open. He didn't have an answer for me. He did tell me he couldn't just replace random items without knowing exactly what was happening and that each time i disconnected my battery it was resetting the codes it was throwing. So there was NO WAY for them to determine what was going on. Today I took my vehicle to a different Chevy service department. They called and had diagnosed what was wrong with my car within a few hours. I was surprised because GAULT had just told me there was NO WAY to determine this as i had reset the codes by disconnecting the battery. Shady from the get-go. Put $10,000 down on a car with 750-800 credit score and they couldn't deliver the car that day or the next, then the contract had a service plan in it that I had not requested. I decided to just get my check back and cancel the deal . . . I had signed nothing but an authorization to run my credit, but they had already cashed the check (said it was a "good faith" payment) and it would take 7-10 work days to get a check sent. This place is shady as hell and I would avoid them like the plague. read more

Absolutely awful experience. They are complete bullshitters. You buy a brand new vehicle with the promise of equipment to go along with that vehicle and low and behold it's been three weeks now and shockingly still no equipment. And they lie the entire time. And then blame it on other people, saying he is a horrible employee and that you just fired him... We were also told during one of our meetings with the sales rep that they were firing one of their managers the following day. Who does that? Keep that shit in your own house. Don't air your dirty laundry to your customers, especially when that poor employee has no idea. read more

My father passed away in July and he had a lease in his name. Now that the lease is up (which has been getting paid since my dad passed) Gault was absolutely zero help and made us feel like we've done something wrong. The dealership told us there was nothing they could do to help us And would not even help facilitate a purchase. Absolutely terrible experience. read more

I bought a 2012 Silverado w 17k miles in Nov. 2015. Within 30 days I emailed the Chevy dealership that there was something wrong with the transmission. They ignored, ignored n ignored it until finally addressing it. Couple times in the dealerships having me try this and that and waste 10k miles. Finally they said they could do anything. I addressed it to GM Corp and they said best they could do is 3,000 consumer cash on top of dealership trade in which is 28k. I just paid 39k. So I continue fighting and fighting and finally get them to take it for a week and fix it. They changed a couple of sensors and all good. The guy said if I didn't get it fixed I could end up being forced forward when breaking. So good thing I got it fixed huh. Nope, worst then when it started. What happeneds is when I break I can hear the gears clunking if my windows r open from underneath the car. The truck revs up between every shift and it feels like it's forcing me forward. Every once in awhile when accelerating it will hesitate quickly then keep going. Slowing down and accelerating again I heard clunks from my feet. Traction control light went off along with Stabilitrak. They fixed those but not the issues. So I'm sitting here with a truck that was 39k that came with these issues and is documented that were there from the get go and I'm being told it was a risk I took when buying a used vehicle. Not to mention it's certified... which apparently means nothing. So I escalated this to Alicia Bolero Davis's office who is a top executive in customer relations. Who I thought I'd be speaking with then I get their secretary who says she will look into it. Not like I haven't been doing this for 7 months now. And says that the trade in is only 28k because once I drive it off the lot it reduces it's value. Well I get that part in a normal scenario but this truck came damaged. She had no response to that. And says unless I can prove the guy said I could be pushed into traffic at anytime that she can use that. Even though I have plenty of messages with them saying he was gonna get fired if he kept talking to me and that everything about my files got locked up. Sounds suspicious to me. And I even addressed the comment he made about my trucking pushing forward into traffic in a text message and the response was they will see what they can do... Let's see what Alicia boler Davis's office has to say... Will update my experience read more

I purchased a 2017 diesel LTZ Silverado, did everything you do with a normal car deal like putting money down, signing the loan contracts and switching insurance over. Two weeks later I get a call from my insurance stating that the dealership (gault) called and requested changes be made to my insurance premiums. Of course I said hell no and expected a call from the dealership, nope no call until the following day, which I let go to voicemail. Within 5 minutes I then get a call from my insurance with the salesperson on the line. Requesting to change a deductible because it's too high for GM financing. I said don't change a thing and hung up. Now I'm not a unreasonable person but a. Why wasn't this brought up prior to signing the contracts and b. Why wasn't I notified prior to them calling to try and change my insurance. That to me is completely unacceptable and I will never buy another vehicle from them or recommend someone to. If they try and pull this kind of nonsense what else is going on behind the scenes. Looks like I'll be going to Matthews for service and vehicles from now on. read more

I took my car here to have a recall fixed, which they had my car longer than needed. Then, I brought it back after I got into an accident and needed a bit of body work and service work done. They had my car about 1.5-2 months, and kept promising us I'd have my car but the day before would come and something else would come up. When I finally got it back, the work was well below average, body and service! My car is now unable to be driven because of the damage they caused and they will admit they messed something up but not that it is there fault. They ruined my transmission. I will not take another car back here. From the bad customer service to the bad work. Worst repair shop I've ever seen. read more
