They cited streaks which they were not able to show, and told me if I left to replace it I would have to get a whole new inspection, essentially charging me for two inspections unless I payed for the parts they wanted to sell me. I took the car immediately to the Ford Dealership, which found no issues with it and had no problem passing my inspection as is. The car is brand new, with only 3,000 miles on it, most of which were put on at the dealership which replaced the wipers and everything before I drove it off the lots. I heard them tell at least two other people that they also needed new wipers on their inspections which further makes me suspicious that it is just their current parts selling scam. I intended to file a complaint with the state inspection agency so that this type of thing does not keep happening to people. I have been using Jiffy Lube for a long time, and while I was not going to need to come in as frequently as I just got a new electric car, I certainly had been recommending it to all my friends. They have lost a life long advocate and customer from this experience.

Once he arrived, he was suddenly told it would cost $250 for a tow that was less than 10 minutes away. When he asked to have the vehicle taken to our own mechanic instead, they said it would be an additional $150--something that was never mentioned before. To make matters worse, they refused to unload his vehicle unless he first paid the $250. We felt like we were backed into a corner with no real choice but to pay. A reputable towing company should be upfront about pricing before performing a service, not disclose the cost after the fact when the customer has no leverage. Our experience lacked transparency, professionalism, and basic customer fairness.
