August 2023…read more Service: 3/5 We were pleasantly surprised by the efficient and friendly hostesses who promptly gathered our details, inquired about allergies, and asked if we were marking a special occasion. I shared that I was celebrating my BIRTHDAY. Within 20 minutes of being seated, a neighboring table also seemed to be commemorating a birthday. The staff brought out a cake adorned with a sparkler, and they joined in applauding to honor the young lady's special day. About 15 minutes later, another guest received a similar celebratory treatment. Naturally, I anticipated a similar celebration for myself. After our meal, when the waiter inquired about the check, my partner reminded them that it was my birthday, a detail we had already conveyed to the hostess. She assured us of something special. However, to my immense disappointment, we were presented with two modest ice cream cones instead of the anticipated birthday festivities or a sparkler. This experience left me feeling overlooked and disregarded. I'm unsure what miscommunication occurred, as I had clearly mentioned my birthday both before being seated and during the meal. Given the elaborate celebrations we witnessed for others, the simple ice cream cones felt inadequate and failed to capture the essence of a true celebratory experience. Ambiance: 5/5 Upon arrival, we were captivated by the stunning natural surroundings that surrounded us. The staff's professionalism was exceptional and left a lasting impression. The entrance was adorned with tasteful decorations and provided a comfortable space for guests to await their tables. Stepping into the restaurant felt like stepping into a lush jungle, enhanced by the mellifluous strains of R&B music that perfectly matched the ambiance. An added touch of convenience was the provision of hangers for shopping bags, thoughtfully placed in proximity to our table--an attention to detail that truly stood out. Taste/Textures: 5/5 We indulged in the exquisite cauliflower dish, elegantly accompanied by an incredible cheese sauce presentation. The New York strip steak was a show in itself, being expertly sliced tableside and artfully placed on a heated stone for savoring. The steak's impeccable preparation showcased its abundant flavor and juiciness. (However, we advise against the seasoned potatoes that accompanied it, as they were undercooked and overly seasoned.) The short rib spaghetti was a delightful choice, a symphony of flavors that seemed to linger endlessly. The mushrooms lent their delectable touch, while the creamy sauce added richness to every bite. We paired the meals with champagne and an old-fashioned, unfortunately, it did take a bit of time to be delivered to the table . Prices: 5/5 Considering the exceptional service and the premium quality of ingredients, the pricing appears to be more than reasonable. With steaks starting at just US$20 and appetizers at a starting price of US$15, the value aligns well with the experience. To ensure a celebratory experience, I would recommend this restaurant to give better guidance on what to do to achieve the best birthday ever. Bottom Line: 3.5/5 Overall, my experience was high! Unfortunately, in celebrating any milestones, having the ball dropped on, that makes a high impact on my rating . We were pleasantly surprised that during the meal, the waiters came around and boxed our portions as the courses were served. *This was one of my favorite details and attention to service. That's bar NONE! * We did not further inquire about the issue that we had. We left, without complaint to avoid any embarrassment.

This time we shared a mixed salad (huge) and the soufflé potato puffs (a signature side), I ordered a small tenderloin and Paul got a ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly. They both needed a little salt for our tastes, but each was tender, juicy and tasty. It is difficult to go wrong here if you want a great dining experience in Cancun. We loved it so much, we ended up here twice in the same week. The service is outstanding here and you can tell they pride themselves on customer service. Before the meal, they do drop off bread with dipping sauces, garlic, and butter. The perfect appetizer. One reason I love this place is the salads. They are big enough for split for 2 and I don't think you can go wrong with any of the options. Personally, the cesar salad is my favorite. What I love about this salad, is they make the dressing right in front of you. Definitely a cool and unique experience. The first time, I ordered the tuna steak. It comes with a soy sauce and a garlic butter. These two sauces on the tuna makes for an incredible meal. I cannot say enough good things about this entree! The second night we went my boyfriend and I split the Cesar salad and the skirt steak. We also added on a side of mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. The whole meal was delicious. I couldn't pick a favorite part because everything tasted so good. Splitting this was the perfect meal for two people and we even had a bit left over to snack on the next day. I didn't like that I smelled like burnt wood cuz the whole time their wood grilled oven is on. The service is good. The waiters are fast and checks on us frequently. Presentation is good, but I'm not impressed with the taste. I ordered lobster bisque. It's kinda watery, not creamy at all. Very regular. Then I ordered lobster in coconut curry and basmati rice. It was served in fresh half pineapple.,Unfortunately I was not able to taste the coconut. i was expecting that it will be kinda sticky since the rice was cooked in coconut curry... but no, it seems like it was just soaked in water, it's lacking the taste of the coconut and taste of curry.,Also, for awhile i thought i was eating chicken instead of lobster. Yes, I was expecting that it will be pricey since it's fine dining, but it didn't meet my expectations to it's palatability. I was not even able to eat half of it. I was forcing myself to eat it, but i really can't cuz it was lacking taste. I still gave 3-star cuz of the service and the ambiance.
