We've been to Gator's Pub a few times now and have always had an amazing experience! We stopped by yesterday and I was blown away by the experience. I didn't catch our waiter's name but he was young with curly black hair. One of the best waiters I've ever had. He was kind, knowledgeable, and took excellent care of us. He definitely made the experience so much better. I ordered the brisket grilled cheese but we also had the scallop plate and chicken sandwich. All were excellent and the prices were insanely cheap as well. I do wish my grilled cheese had a BBQ sauce on it but the taste was still to die for. The scallops were cooked to perfection with a huge portion. The restaurant itself is cute and there's even a free cup of soup with a purchase of a meal. I think anyone should definitely try this place out! read more

This place was a huge disappointment. The dining room reeked like straight marijuana, and it was impossible to ignore while trying to eat. It's honestly disgusting to walk into a restaurant and be hit with that smell like you just stepped into someone's living room during a smoke session. No one wants their meal served with a cloud of pot stink hanging in the air. It completely ruined the experience and I definitely won't be coming back. read more

Gators makes one feel like they are in an old pub, set in a different time and place. This spot has been around for a very long time. We stopped by by for lunch and glad we did, this spot serves typical New England fare from seafood to grinders, chowder and everything between. Greeted with a complimentary cup of soup and a friendly wait staff starts your lunch off on a positive. Meals are well prepared and presented. Our table had a variety of sandwich and pasta choices and no complaints. Best of all prices are reasonable. Give them a try. read more

RI Food Fight- Wings 2024 review: We ordered the mid level buffalo sauce. So not mild or too hot, just right. The wings come whole! I like that! Wish they were crispier and they DO NOT have the good blue cheese here. I also had their mozzarella sticks. They were good. The guy behind the counter was old and it seamed like he was bothered to be serving people. Not a conversationalist by any means. I just love this place. It's awesome. Great menu variety, great service, great food and amazzing prices by 2025 standards. I would eat here more often if it was closer. The fajitas are great, I like to think of my self as a free thinker. But when I hear the sizzling fajitas going to another table I just have to order the fajitas. I was disappointed during ordering because 2 options were no longer available. They no longer serve iced tea! My options were pink lemonade or soda. UGH! I have always substituted poutine for the regular fries with an up charge. Nope, can't do that anymore. Then as an added bonus, you get hair in you food (that does not belong to you). UGH!! We went for dinner last night. I can't say enough good things about them! We got seats quickly and drinks just as fast. We started with a pound of steamers- they were DELICIOUS! Next was a cup of chowder. It could have been THICKER but was the BEST TASTING chowder I've ever had! Then the main event- their fisherman's platter. Fish, shrimp, scallops, clams, clam cakes, fries and onion rings. It was a HUGE meal and was AMAZING! The biggest piece of fish we'd ever seen! The clam cakes were very close to the size of baseballs! Whole belly clams, delicious large scallops... every part of it was just out of this world delicious! We have plenty leftover for another big meal for the two of us! The service was great- attentive and helpful... everything you'd want in a bar/restaurant, right down to the calm atmosphere and the comfy seating! We have never gotten to eat there before because of how busy they've been (and rightfully so)- we lucked out this time getting right in. We will DEFINITELY be going back! read more

Great wings, and in the summer we were able to play pickup volleyball. We would eat here again.

There were 4 people at our table. It took about 15 min before we got our drinks and the restaurant was not full. 3 out our 4 meals came out not as ordered and were literally cold. We had to ask multiple times for water and extra napkins were never brought over as requested. The waitress dropped a condiment on the floor and it was not cleaned until we asked at the end of the meal so no one would slip. It was brought to the attention of the waitress that one of the fried claims tasted off and the patron was feeling nauseous. She said she would let her manager know, but manager never came over to the table to get more info. Was she told? We'll never know. Overall a very poor experience, we all decided we won't be back. read more

Went here a few times before and it was good but today was not. Service was awful. Many wait staff working yet we waited 15 minutes for someone to wait on us. The other wait staff were just standing around chatting. Waited over 20 minutes for our drinks. When we asked, the waitress snapped at us and told us the bartender was busy and we needed to understand that. Food was average. Service was poor. read more

My boyfriend and I visited Gator's pub after a long day of work. The bartenders were incredible. I had a white sangria and my boyfriend had a jack honey and club soda. What can I say? Five stars for the food, service and atmosphere! Bang bang shrimp was just incredible and I generally don't like shrubby wow perfect texture and flavor. On Sunday the wings are .75cents and these are the full size wings! We got 12 half buffalo and half mango habanero. 12 wings for 9 bucks and man they are good. Their house salad and dressing is incredibly fresh. Try this place out you will not be disappointed! read more

Oh man...... so good. I had a bacon burger with some blue cheese it came out perfect. It was awesome. Wife had drunkin mussels a little over priced but it was good. The food is good but unfortunately my last delivery wasn't great. My food must have been taken off the grill and put immediately into the delivery container. It melted through the styrofoam. Unfortunately the delivery driver had a hard time finding us and arrived 20 minutes past the ETA we were given. The driver made no effort to contact me for help although I texted them (via door dash app, so I realize this individual is not a reflection of Gators). By the time they finally arrived everything had cooled, including the previously melted container which then had some hardened pieces that I had to pick out of my sandwich. I don't know why folks have written poor reviews about this place. From what I read, the complaints have mostly come from millennials wanting a local spot with big city fancy food served inside... This place is exactly what it looks like. It's not some fancy place, but the portions are large and reasonably priced, the staff are friendly and everything is slightly larger than life. If you want some posh hipster bar, go elsewhere. If you want an upbeat and kind of rambunctious atmosphere, this is your place. You will have a good time and leave with a full stomach. read more

This place used to be really good, now it is just a pub serving average pub food! Went tonight with the bf , my son and his wife! Ordered the super nachos. We got three colored nacho chips with a little cheese, olives, jalapeño and lettuce on top, no sour cream , no guac , no salsa! Needless to say they were a bit boring. We then ordered the calamari and a chicken quesadilla! The chicken inside the tortilla was blah, it didn't appear to be grilled and was cold. There was sour cream, salsa and lettuce and tomato. The calamari was good! My son ordered the piggy burger, it was huge he didn't offer any complaints. It was his birthday and I asked for a chocolate cake slice w/ a candle, the cake was divine apparent it wasn't made there. Excellent food. Great service. I was visiting from Charleston South Carolina, and I fell in love with this place. I was probably the oldest person in there at age 52. But if you love sports, great service, and excellent food, this is the place to go. No matter what your age is. This is the best French dip I have ever had! I wish I could fly somebody from this restaurant down to South Carolina to show them how to make French dip. While visiting Rhode Island I tried the French dip at several different restaurants. All of them are better than any French dip I've ever gotten in South Carolina. But this was the best of all the Rhode Island dips I tried. read more

This place is a feel good comfortable at any age local town hang out, not a fine dining restaurant, so you don't need to dress up. It's a great place to hang out with or without the gang for a cold beer and burger or appetizer. The bartenders are the great, especially Ashley, Patrick, Amanda and Rachel. The prices are rising too high but unfortunately the value isn't especially when it comes to food quality, it's sporadic... stick with the burgers and wings. The fly landing on the Nachos the second it was placed on the table sucked. I ordered the Brisket, big mistake it looked more like a big mess of chopped shit, I have never had brisket all chopped up. It was mixed and tossed and completely coated with barbecue sauce. It looked gross but I tried it, dry, super dry, it was obviously old probably smoked last week. I asked the waiter if I should order and he said " they sell a lot of it" I don't know if I could or should have ordered something else, everyone's food at the table looked gross.
