They made sure to set aside a plate of everything that was served and even brought appetizers from our cocktail hour to our suite so we didn't miss a thing. They served us first at the reception and delivered sweets from the dessert table directly to us--such thoughtful, personal touches that meant so much to us! And the food? Absolutely amazing. I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my experience at Gathering N' Stuff due to the unprofessional conduct of Ms. Maria, the main coordinator and primary point of contact when renting this venue. Prior to the event, Ms. Maria promised that helpers would be available on the day of the event. However, these promises were not fulfilled. Communication was extremely poor as she failed to answer calls both the day before and the morning of the event regarding decorations and setup. Although initial discussions felt flexible and well organized, the experience on the day of the event was very different. Unexpected additional fees were charged for nearly everything without clear or prior notice. Despite having paid the full deposit, Ms. Maria stated that she could have stopped the party because some guests were holding drinks that did not come from her bar. This statement was made in a threatening and inappropriate manner. There was also a complete lack of assistance during setup. We were given only 2 hours to set up and despite promises of help, no staff assistance was provided. As soon as Ms. Maria saw my two cousins trying to help with setup, she immediately stated that they were guests and asked them to stop helping. Maria herself refused to assist in any way even with tasks like putting on runners or helping with basic setup. This made the process significantly more difficult and stressful. Food service was another major issue. We paid a significant amount of money per plate yet guests were only served very small portions. There was a large amount of food left over. However, instead of allowing us to take the remaining portions that we paid for Ms. Maria did not let us take it home. Additionally, we brought four packages of champagne and only used two. The remaining two packages were not returned to us. Ms. Maria did not mention them or attempt to return them until we contacted her. When we returned to retrieve our belongings, her behavior appeared insincere and it seemed she was reluctant to return the remaining champagne until we insisted. To make matters worse, approximately ten minutes before our scheduled time ended, Ms. Maria personally turned on the lights and attempted to end the party early, rushing guests off the floor despite us still being within our paid time. This behavior was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to both us and our guests. Ms. Maria failed in multiple aspects including communication, professionalism, transparency with fees, follow through on promises, and proper handling of food and personal property. In conclusion, Ms. Maria failed both professionally and personally, demonstrating a lack of integrity, respect, and accountability. This entire experience fell far below any reasonable standard of customer service and well below expectations for a professional event venue. read more

If you're looking for a place for an event, this is the place you need to book. It is a perfect venue for a smaller party (I believe up to 60 guests) that includes your food, table, tables, chairs, and linens. You are able to enjoy the entire space for yourselves which is perfect for mingling with other guests. I spoke with Maria to get a quote for my party and she was extremely helpful and readily available and responsive for any and all of my questions I had. She went above and beyond to make sure me and my guests were taking care of. The serving staff was very professional, and there was even a bartender available for hire for the event which we did book so that our guests could enjoy a drink if they wanted. I have had many parties in the recent few years and this was a perfect location with plenty of parking for our guests. We will absolutely be back for another event and we receive many compliments from guests about how pretty the venue was. Awesome company Holiday party here! Maria was very easy to work with. Her and her team were very professional and had great service. The food was excellent! So many compliments on the food. We had the salmon and the tritip and chicken with rice pilaf and vegetables. It was tasty and well seasoned. The party room has been updated and was perfect for our group. I don't usually do reviews but this one is well deserved. I had one week to find an indoor location for my baby shower due to unexpected rain. I was fortunate enough to find this hidden gem. Maria was AMAZING! She eased my nerves from the start. Her and her team are extremely professional and well organized. They went above and beyond with setting up for the big day. The food was OUTSTANDING! The site was clean and very well maintained. The AC kept everyone nice and fresh. I'm particular about odors, especially in an enclosed space with many people. That definitely was not an issue. All my guests loved the overall service and plan to have future events there. IT WAS GREAT! Mother nature worked in our favor by making it rain, otherwise we would have never come across Gatherings N Stuff. Thank you Maria and team! You guys were great! read more
