I was in charge of putting together a breakfast business meeting at work. This was the first time I had put something like this together, so I was a little nervous. I found Doorstep Catering on Yelp. My boss had used another catering service in the area a few times but left it up to me to look around & price things out. Steve & his team did an outstanding job! He went above & beyond what I expected. He was very professional (nice business shirts with his name on it) & very reasonable! The food was excellent along with the service. We knew when it was time for him to clean up that we would still have someone speaking. He was very quiet & didn't disrupt the meeting at all. He even took the foil out of the room to cover things up as to not make to much noise. We had our own coffee there so we could have it around for guests after he left, but we didn't think about the linens. We realize when he was leaving the linens needed to go with him. He said no problem, he would come by the office later & pick them up. We offered to bring them to him but he said he would come by. He thanked us many times for the business and when he came by the office he waited for my boss to get off of a call to thank him again. Another bonus, we had less people come to the meeting than expected & had a ton of food left over that we didn't know what to do with. He suggested taking it over to the homeless shelter AND he would take it for us! Terrific idea and another plus with the boss man! Outstanding! I was hosting a bridal shower and planned on doing the food myself until a couple major life events gone thrown my way and I knew I needed help. I found Doorstep Catering here on Yelp and Steve was very accommodating and encouraging with helping with the menu ideas and I thought his prices were very affordable. He brought the food on-time and set it up beautifully. I have to say it was breath taking! I have never seen such beautiful artistry on things such as the chocolate covered strawberries, fruit platter and even the salad had an amazing presentation. We just had Doorstep cater a large garden party for 100 people with international foods- the menu was great, portions ample, service timely and best of all... knowing we can call Steve to 'do the food' means I can spend time with guests instead of racing around the kitchen. Doorstep's lunch service is still the deal of the century (I should list Steve's frequent visits as an employee benefit- great lunches at a great price, and my employees can be encouraged to do almost anything for Steve's Chocolate Chip Cookies!) and his catering has always been a huge success as well. Doorstep Catering is So Yummy!!!! We chose Steve and his team to cater my sister's wedding and couldn't have been happier with our decision. The food was so yummy! We had a salad with a great dressing mixture, colorful and greatly seasoned veggies, rice pilaf that everyone loved, two types of delicious chicken (lemon pepper & chicken marcala), and a really creative pasta called laziti! My son attended Steve's wife's daycare for more than a year before heading off to preschool. They hosted their own wedding anniversary party and invited all the parents. Party was fantastic and food was GREAT! They took the time to make all the food and drinks, decorated their place and even dressed up for it. Everything was so detailed and sweet.They are a wonderful couple with huge heart for the little ones and even made special food for them for the party. Everyone had a wonderful time with the band too that they invited as well. Feilin often makes cookies and cakes for the little ones at daycare too. We were often gifted with the goodies.
