The barista was friendly and so nice. I got a matcha loaf to try which was phenomenal, so moist and strong matcha flavor. My friend tried one of their sandwiches and she really liked that too. Beautiful space, beautiful people, beautiful coffee. First and foremost, what a lovely space. Clean, sleek, contemporary. Feels cozy and calm. The workers were awesome. Also, the latte? Insane. I mean insane. No idea what made it different but it was great. I didn't order food but everything looked amazing. They were getting some fresh veggies in as well which was nice to know they keep it fresh. Came here for brunch with my son. It was busy but not overcrowded - we were able to get a table right away. I enjoyed the ambiance - calm vibe, pleasant jazz music, low-key but sophisticated decor. Delicious pastries, good chai, but would warn against the smoothies. I saw them prepare mine by putting a plastic container underneath hot steaming water to thaw the frozen smoothie mix. I found it ironic that a place with such 'grounded' and earthy names for the smoothies would prepare them in a way that would undoubtedly release microplastics into the contents. I went with my husband for Valentine's Day for a drink after dinner.The host was nice and checked in my coat. Once we were seated we were provided a menu. We waited about 10 minutes (our table was near the counter) and no one came. Finally we decided to leave. The same male host noticed us getting up to get my coat and came over as we were approaching the exit. I said "no one came to take our order." He said "oh I'm sorry! Where's your dress from?" really nice cafe planted on Orchard. lots of seating options in the front and back. the modern interior is brightly lit, warm, and really clean & well-maintained. have been here several times to grab coffee to go. really enjoy how consistently made the coffee is...solidly quality brew. don't sleep on the food menu as it has a lot of variety from pastries and such to more ample savory options like sandwiches and salads. tried the "Euromoda" sandwich -- grilled cheddar cheese + tomato slices on toasted sourdough Pullman bread. this grilled cheese is so satisfying -- the bread is good, the melty cheddar, and the sweetness of the tomato. definitely a must order if you're in need of calories. the staff here are kind and round out the experience whether you're getting coffee or something more substantial. read more

Nice little cafe with a lot of space. Perfect for meeting with friends for a quick bite. They have a lot of options and make everything fresh. We ordered a Jasmine tea and the herbal blend and a chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was freshly baked and really really great. Not overly sweet, topped with a bit of flaky salt, thick and crunchy on the outside but soft and oozing chocolate on the inside. Realllyyy good. i first visited Gather when it had just opened a few years ago and was excited to see a new spot in the neighborhood with ample space and seating for working on a laptop. most cafes in the area tend to be smaller, designed more for catching up with friends or grabbing something to go. this time, i ordered a matcha loaf and a mocha--both were solid choices. i didn't try any of their salads or sandwiches, but the menu is pretty extensive, with plenty of healthy lunch options. they make smoothies too! one thing i really liked is that the kitchen is open-style, surrounded by a bar counter, so you can watch the food being prepared every time you need a break from looking at your laptop. everything looked clean and well-organized. the woman who took my order was super chill and also made my mocha--she even pulled a really nice swan latte art on it! read more

Went into this shop to grab coffee- got the chocolate croissant which was great and a vanilla latte. I was told the vanilla is made in house, which is a plus. However, my latte wasn't the least bit flavorful, I asked them to add additional flavor and after adding more sugar, it was doable. The ambiance was nice and the workers were friendly. read more
