The playground is split into an older kids side and a younger kids side, with 1 entry (and a fence surrounding). Visibility isn't perfect but the single entry point is great if you want to stand in the middle to keep an eye on kiddos. Great spot for play dates (come with a coffee!). There are portapotties at the park and a real restroom a small walk down the path. Park is great for kids to use their imaginations and play, which is so much fun. Great spot to bring a ball and play catch or picnic to sit and relax or bikes! Can get hot - wear sunscreen if the weather is nice. Friends said it's also fun to bring bikes or a stroller and hit up the cafe (a bit of distance from the playground) and have some sweet potato fries.

My kids love coming here to play, scooter and walk around on the paved trails surrounding the playground. The playground is divided with an area for toddlers (2-5) and older kids. Spacious parking lot and picnic tables as well around. Restrooms are nearby as well - they are well maintained and nice as far as public park restrooms go (heated in the fall/winter time). There is also a little library here too. I enjoy coming here every time!

The school provides a safe, nurturing environment for children where they can learn and play. Children can be dropped off as early as 8 am and until 4:30. The before care and after care, will help families who work. The children will get to engage in sensory play, cooking, music, and movement. The facility also offers to host Birthday parties! It was a lot of fun to come back again years later with my 2yo daughter. They have recently done a complete renovation on the play area of the park. It is all done in a maritime theme perfect for the little quaint town of Gig Harbor. It has a big toy boat to climb in and on with slides, bells, sea life scavenger hunt & more. There is also a sand box, swings, buoys to swing on, climbing toys, etc. It has a rubber surface in the play area. It's very "little kid" friendly which I was impressed with. This park also has a covered area with a sink & running water, picnic tables & BBQs which is great for get togethers. The bathrooms have flush toilets and were very clean. It has a drinking fountain, but wasn't working when we went. It does have some shady areas for escaping the heat. It also has walking trails, wildlife viewing, baseball field, tennis & basketball courts, and of course the creek it was named after :)

Walked in a small loop down to the shore, kids loved shells, crabs, oysters, water, moving rocks and logs (to see the crabs). Walked back up with some complaining but it was short enough we could see the parking fence before kiddo gave up. Then we had a snack at the play area, let the kids climb and play, and went back home for lunch. Water was not on at play area yet, much to my 4 yr olds disappointment. Can't wait to come back!

Swimming, canoeing, kayaking and fishing is all allowed at this large lake. And this county park is also dog friendly. My husband, our little girl dog and I stopped by this park on a Thursday afternoon, a little before 1 pm. The reason why we came here was because we were looking for a park with barbecue grills because we had just purchased some raw, fresh oysters and clams from Minterbrook Oyster Farm and wanted to cook some up for lunch. A local at a nearby convenience store suggested this park and so we headed on our way (be sure to purchase charcoal if you want to use the park grills). Parking is plentiful, plenty of parks to provide shade and lots of grass available for our little girl to mark her territory. With a handful of barbecue grills, we decided to pick one by the volleyball court. My husband set up the grill and did the cooking (that is what husbands are for) and my little girl and I explored this large park in the meantime. There are restrooms by the playground, but I did not use it. Also during our visit, a park employee told us that he had to close the restrooms (due to some kind of plumbing problem) and that porta-potties will be delivered later today. This is a great park to have a family get together, picnic, friend gathering (play volleyball or bring your kayaks and launch off of here), fly your drone here or toy planes and play with your dog(s) here. If I lived closer, I would be out here on a regular basis.

We really like this park!…read more It does not have much parking, there are about 2 spots in the back of the main lot, and 4-5 spots along the side of the Center. So if you want to do a picnic or haul a long large amounts of gear, get there early. We love the Splash park, it is very new and well maintained, also the park does not get that busy? (I wonder if people think only members can use it? I'm not sure.) Also the playground toys are pretty interesting and unique. Restrooms also look pretty new!
