The other reviews on this park are incorrect in the fact that this park is NOT flat. Anyone with motility issues will have a hard time here. It's very hilly; even the park entrance has an immediate hill. If you don't have motility issues, it's a great little park with tons of nature and educational resources. If you have a reactive dog, keep your eyes open because it's pretty crowded with other dog owners.

It´s a fun little neighborhood park. The trails are easy and have some good ID cards for the plants on the main path. The playground isn´t spectacular, but it´s not bad. The grass area is nice and big with plenty of room for kiddos to run. The restroom is clean enough, and the trash seems to be picked up regularly. I´ve recently taken up photography, and this park has a lot of great spots for landscape photos as well as family pictures.

Z running free :)

Besides the kids play area & large open field, there's also a huge garden to explore. I also do like the fact that there's a track circling the park for a nice nature walk / run. Bathrooms / water fountain available. As well as a covered area with tables. Limited parking though.

What's unique about this small little park is that it's a Community P-Patch Garden and Demonstration Garden. From my research I've found that it started in 2009 and has grown significantly over the last four years. The garden program is a partnership between WSU Extension Master Gardener Program and the City of Bremerton Parks & Recreation Department. The Land was known as White's Blueberry Farm, a commercial enterprise that harvested blueberry plants. I've heard that a small number of the original blueberry plants remain and can be found in the NW corner of today's Blueberry Park. This place seems like a great place for new gardeners just starting out, or for seasoned gardeners looking to share their knowledge with others. They even donate most of the produce to the Bremerton Food Line. It's worth a stop just to relax a bit and check out gardens that other folks have been working on.

Please note that Discovery Park Visitor Center is closed until Summer 2027 so I feel like this…read morereview is somewhat incomplete. However, this park is so amazing I think I can rate it 5/5 stars without needing to visit the visitor center! Discovery Park is Seattle's largest park and has amazing views of the Cascade and the Olympic Mountain ranges. You can head down to the tidal beaches to look at sea critters if you time it during a very low tide, or visit any time to hike and admire the forest, cross the open meadows, and listen to the streams crisscrossing the park. There's even a lighthouse! During summer season, there's a free shuttle bus Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to help you get around the park, as it's so large some people might be put off by the distances needed to walk around the various points of interest.

Discovery Park has such crazy wilderness for being a park inside a big city. It felt isolated and…read moresomewhat eerie as we barely saw any people. The hike was a lot more steep and strenuous than I expected. We did a 4-mile hike from a parking lot through the woods and along the coast to the lighthouse, then we walked along the road to get back to the car. It was beautiful being so close to the water. We even spotted a seal! The park was so lush with a lot of wildlife. I didn't really see many facilities like restrooms or water fountains. I think I only saw two restrooms, and we hiked all over. I don't even know if they were open. The visitor center is closed due to being defunded by the city, which is such a shame. This is quite the underdeveloped, rugged wilderness type of urban park.

Cute little park area near the Bremerton ferry terminal and downtown. I had some time to explore…read morenear my hotel and the Harborside Fountain Park was an easy walk. The same designers for the famous Fountains at the Bellagio in Las Vegas designed this park. They built interpretations of an armada of battleships - 6 fountains spaced out. And at choreagraphed times, each fountain explodes with bursts of water from the top, one at a time, which is also symbolic of the volcanic activity in the area (think of Mount St. Helens and Mount Rainier/Tahoma as they are active volcanoes). It was a hot, summer weekday when I visited and there were some families with their kids enjoying the water in the fountains. It's a nice way to spend an summer afternoon by the water. There are tables and chairs so you can easily have a picnic while there.

Large, volcano shaped metallic features (about 5) simulating whale blow holes, surrounded by shallow pools. Intermittently these things blow water out the top to the delight of all the toddlers splooshing around the pools. I guess wading is allowed although I would think twice with all the tots with diapers marinating in the shallow water. A nice feature to the Bremerton waterfront.
