For most of the winter, the grass is flooded, but the trail is never very muddy, making it great in the rain. Large firs and hemlocks block the water, and ferns and moss absorb sounds, allowing you to lose yourself in the surroundings. In the spring and summer, the maples provide dappled shade that keeps you cool. I don't know who maintains the park (it's not a public park), but they do a great job keeping the trails clear of vegetation, and it looks like they clear out blackberries, too, since I only see a few here and there off the trail. This is a great place to walk the dog, but bring your own baggies as they don't provide them, or trash cans!

Quaint and charming little community park…read more A 0.4 mile loop walk winds around an open grass field. The area is full of fir trees and ferns and it makes for a great brisk walk in any weather. There are multiple ways to enter and exit from the park. The dog absolutely loves running around the grass, pawing at the dirt mounds, and exploring all of the different paths. There is also a path that links to the road down to the Tacoma Narrows park.

I live near this place and it's super easy to just come up here to take a break and be with nature…read more the trails are easy, and the forest is small, so it's hard to get super lost. I would be careful though, there are a c homeless drug addics who hand around that place. Some times I can hear this one guy screaming from down the hill. It's also super liminal at night, if you're into that kinda stuff. But I do not recommend for kids to come here alone and stuff cause of that one guy. there's also a field down the hill that's near the school building. It's really fun to go and hang out there, but that's also where the drug addict is. There's also a swing set that lost its swings. it makes me sad whenever I see it, because I love swings. It's also super liminal. If you head to a road that leads to the road net to the school building, there is a pot hole that's shaped like a heart. I think it's really aesthetic. Right next the park there's a giant patch of barren land. on the edge, there is a wall covered in graffiti. I went there with my little sister once and splattered old paint all over it. We also found an old wet porn mag on the floor. that was funny. I'm gonna make a backrooms level based off this park because it looks really liminal at night. I like this park. I wish it was big enough to have a wendigo in it. That would be cool.

There's a pretty lengthy trail close to the street that also leads to the Chambers Bay Grill. At the grill, they host special events, weddings, and personal celebrations. The Grill has an average set of drinks on tap and a pretty decent food menu as well as outdoor seating for those who want to continue to take in the breathtaking views around the park. Additionally, there are several strategically placed Scenic Overlook/viewpoint areas where you can sit, take in a magnificent view of the sound and landscape of the golf course. I usually come here at least 2-3 times a month to walk down the steep decline to the golf course area/trail over to a bridge that extends slightly into the sound. Here is my meditative space - somewhere I can go for some quiet reflection.

I didn't see any playgrounds or splash pads while we were there but if you're hosting a picnic, BBQ or want to set up a volleyball net and have a tournament, this is a great place to do that. Mostly, I think that this park is best for folks who like to walk, run or jog a lot. They have a path along the road at the top of the park with some stunning views of water and Olympic peninsula from that path. The park has multiple walking paths with different levels of difficulty so I'm sure you'll find one to suit your needs. At the bottom of the park is some huge grassy areas that stretch a few acres right up to the water and it's a great place if you like to watch trains go by. They have at least one covered gathering place that you can rent and they can set up temporary tents if you need to rent space for your event. The park staff is friendly and always keeping an eye on things from their little offroad vehicles. They offer you extra trash bags if you've rented a space and they keep the park feeling safe and secure. I don't know much about golf, but the Chambers Creek golf course intertwines with the park so if you're a golfer, you can check it out. I hope to visit this park in the future and see what else I may be able to find. Until then, Cheers!
