The attendant took the initiative to remove my antenna without asking me and this happened. The owner denied everything, reviewed tapes and said I came in with the damage. It's a brand new vehicle. This car wash during peak hours (lol early Sunday morning is the prime time I wasn't expecting) is VERY, VERY busy, which is a testament to how well the machine cleans here. CUSTOMER SERVICE: The car wash operators are usually very friendly. During certain times of the year, they have cute giveaways like hand sanitizer or a drying cloth. Usually, they'll give you a hand wipe with the car wash logo on it. It's a small gesture, but I think it adds a personal touch to the experience. CLEAN WASH: There are usually two types of automated car washes: the stationary car variety and the automated track kind where your car sits on a rail and travels through the wash tunnel. The machine at LBG Express is the latter type, and I find that it cleans the car much more thoroughly than the first kind since the rainbow soap seems to stay on longer and is actually scrubbed into the car before being washed away. (There have been too many other car washes where I'm like, "Really?!" after soap goes on and gets sprayed off in the next five seconds.) I did find that the machine does have some trouble washing the top portion of rear window if your car has a lip protruding over the top of it. The priciest option does a particularly great drying job and unrivaled undercarriage and wheel wash. I haven't gotten a scratch on any of our cars yet. FREE VACUUM WITH WASH: My #1 motivation for coming here. Spare yourself the misery of the the wimpy car vacuum you found in the bargain bin and just use these after your wash. They're so powerful. Each vacuum stall has two hoses assigned to it, one on either side so you're not wrestling the hose over. Usually, I plan ahead when I come here and sprinkle baking soda mixed with some essential oils on my carpets the night before. Vacuum it up and revel in the clean smell. PRICE: The only reason I'm docking a star. It's probably the most expensive automated wash in the area. I'd get a membership, but I usually am not in this part of LB regularly enough for it to be worth it for me. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if I could but then I wouldn't be able to post this. Absolutely ridiculous. This was my first time here and from first appearance I thought it was a very nice place. Spent $8 on the Business wash. After I finished the wash and went over to the complimentary vacuum area I noticed that my car looked pretty much the same as before minus the dust. There was bits of gunk all around the car, my license, and yesterday's bird poop was still on the back. I went over to a gentleman who came over to see the car. He said to me "You need to wash your car more often" which took me by surprise. I wash my car every 2 weeks but I also drive nearly 200 miles a day, so naturally it gets dirty more often. Plus the LA sun cakes all of the grime into the surface. I responded "I wash my car every two weeks" and he replied back "This is not two weeks. I've seen two weeks and this isn't two weeks". He later offered a free wash but the comments really made me angry. I went over to him after I was done with the vacuum and taught him a lesson on how to not make assumptions of his customers. He was apologetic afterwards but nonetheless he was completely snarky and rude initially. First and foremost I want to say that the manager at this location is completely rude and ignorant. I called to cancel my membership the beginning of February to assure I wouldn't be charged at the end of the month. Of course someone didn't do their job and cancel so I was charged once again $44.95. Keep in mind that the only reason for my cancelation was because they didn't allow me to go through the car wash because of a crack on my windshield. What kind of a company doesn't put the account on hold or close it if I wasn't able to use the services! The manager told me "there's nothing I can do" like wow, great way to satisfy your customer. We've been to this car wash numerous times now. Prices are reasonable. The line can vary depending on day of the week, time of day and the weather. It does a good job getting the dirt off but today I had some tree sap on there and it wasn't able to get all of it off in one cycle. The vacuums are powerful and there's one on each side of the vehicle so if you have someone else with you you are able to tag team & get down twice as fast. They also give you a wet wipe for your dash but it's small like a hand wet wipe and doesn't go very far but still a nice gesture. AVOID. I came here for a quick, cheap car wash last month and ended up with what looks like the most expensive one of my life. After going through the machine I pulled over to vacuum the inside when I noticed the damage done to my drive side tail light. I tired giving them the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was done before the was but the inside of the light was still dirty meaning the car wash did not wash that area so it must have happened inside the machine. After asking one of the employees about what happened they checked the inside of the machine and found the rest of my tail light. They said there was nothing they can do and no one I can talk to since I was already speaking to the manager. They are still not willing to pay for the damages despite their policy not saying anything about them not being liable to ripping tail lights off. Very terrible experience. read more

I come here pretty often for my car washes. It's located in a little shopping center right off of Willow and Lakewood. There's 2 lanes you can pick from to enter the car wash. Once you're in the check in area, you can choose the type of car wash you want. I usually stick with the $6 economy class wash. It does a decent job even when my car is filthy. Only downside is when you come during the rush hour, it gets pretty backed up and can take up to 30 minutes to get through. FYI: Discounted washes after 5pm! read more

Usually a long line, but it goes by fairly quickly. They usually have 1-2 assistants guiding you into the wash and they hand you a dashboard wipe. Came here on a Wednesday afternoon after leaving my keys at work (smh) and thought it was time to get my car cleaned. You drive through the back and there's an automated teller where you get to choose what type of service you want. I got the 2nd tier for $10 (as of 6/22/2017) and went through the line. The whole wash took maybe 3 minutes and you then proceed to the vacuum area. You get 2 vacuums, one per side of the vehicle, which is very convenient so that you don't have to go around with the vacuum hose. They also give you a disposable towelette for your dashboard and interior. It dries up quite quickly, i wish they gave 2-3 per person instead. I have a self-serve car wash next to my house but all the slots were full. I found myself driving 2.5 miles to LGB Car Wash. It was Sat afternoon so I waited 15 minutes to get my car wash. There are 2 lines to purchase a car wash ticket. The machine takes card. I opt for the basic package which includes vacuuming for $6. After you purchase a ticket, the line merges into 1. Once you get to the front of the line, one of the workers will give you a cleaner to wipe your dash. Follow the car wash steps located on your left. Just recently signed up for the Business wash membership. Unlimited car washes for $25 bucks a month. The car wash is convenient, but don't expect a detailed wash. I've read multiple reviews complaining about how their cars were not washed properly. Please don't forget, you pay for what you get. Prices are lower then most car washes and I honestly feel it's a great deal. I'm bummed the machine doesn't reache certain areas of my car, the front being the most important. I think I'll live though. They have individual parking spots available to you after your car wash that you can settle into and work on the finishing touches. Like, drying the access water, wiping down the interior of your, cleaning your windows and lastly free unlimited time with the vacuum. Just be mindful when there's a wait. This place can get busy. I gave this a 4 star rating for two reasons. First, when you sign up for the membership it's not very explanatory. Prior to my wash the staff was supposed to stop me, but failed to and I had no clue I had to sign paperwork and get a sticker from the manager on site. So, on my next visit I couldn't figure out my membership. Needless to say, I had to pay for a wash to be able to reach a staff member to explain myself (call button would have been nice.
