(Should have checked on yelp first as several others mentioned this in the past.) It's a small bakery, with wear and tear showing its age, but still had a number of offerings. We got six buns (not pictured) including red bean pineapple bun, pork bun, luncheon meat with egg buns, curry beef bun, and hotdog bun. We also got two cakes, chocolate and red bean&white chocolate cake. Total came to under $30. When we got in (around 2:45pm), the lady was on lunch break on the phone. We were already waiting up at the cash, trying to tell her our cake order but she was still on the phone for a while longer. She bagged the buns while on the phone. The cakes were not bad, the chocolate cake being a bit too dark for my daughter's liking. We enjoyed the lighter red bean and white chocolate cake. The mango compote was different (texture-wise) but delicious nonetheless! She explained the glazed popular cheesecakes they have aren't regular New York style cheese cake (despite their Uber Eats describing it as such for their Yakult flavour cheese cake). So she said the black sesame is in between the classic basque / New York cheesecake and the popular glazed mousse cheesecake. It's also made of marscapone and layered with matcha and not too sweet. It's also her fav so I went with her recommendation. I notice the black sesame cake isn't shown as available on Uber Eats delivery. I decided to pick up in person to make sure the delivery goes smoothly. The price difference is just $1. However, Uber Eats does charge tax and other fees whereas there's no tax at all on pick up. I eventually tried a piece and it does taste like a hybrid cheesecake in texture though the middle thin layer is a bit soggy, though I didn't mind that part. However, even though I love matcha I'm not a fan of the matcha and black sesame combination. I think I would've like a layer with more intense black sesame as the cake itself and the black sesame very subtle. The matcha is more intense creating an imbalance and over powers the black sesame flavour in the cake. Still a tasty cake especially for someone that prefers lighter not too sweet cakes. Note the staff does hand you the payment and there's a tip option of 10% as the lowest suggested option, which I found kinda excessive for just putting a cake in the box. They don't even make cakes at this location. It's all made in the Sauga location and she didn't even write the happy birthday on the cake. I know it's optional but it's just the consumer experience, I tipped but I feel like the tipping culture is a bit excessive to pass onto the consumer to tip on an expensive cake. Just price the cake fairly to compensate the employee or waive for pick ups and have it for only dine-ins. Unlike the previous review, it seems like they do provide a little free happy birthday topper and also a complimentary skinny candle and you're also welcome to buy extra candles if you want. They also sell some $10~ decorative helium balloons to make your celebration a bit more festive. This is their second location. The main one being in Sauga, which I've been told has been in operation for over 25 years apparently. This one I was told was opened in the last 2 years.

Note that it is a small cafe so there isn't a lot of seating. There are a few seats at the tables and a few seats at the coffee bar. It can be hard to find seating especially when there is a workshop going on. They can also get pretty busy.

We came on a Sunday afternoon and the shop was busy. I bought a bouquet of flowers for my friend's bday and the service is very good. The florist was very friendly and helpful. We also tried the hot Spanish latte while waiting. It's a nice little neighborhood spot to hangout. The have one large table and a few high stop seats along with a two seater and coffee table.
