When I dropped the car off with Mike, the only issue with the car was the physical damage on the rear bumper from the accident. Fast-forward to when my car was ready to be picked up. The first thing that went wrong was I was given an incorrect time to pick up my car and when I got there the shop was closed and nobody was there to hand me any paper work or my keys. I get into my car to find out none of the parking sensors on the car are working. Meaning a thorough inspection of their work was not done before handing the car back. I inform Mike and I am forced to bring the car back again during the week, which was a waste of time because nothing was resolved. Mike says to take the car back to Audi and they will have to fix the issue that Mikes shop created. Mike then told me he would try to get the cost of the fix covered through the original insurance of the person who rear ended me. If that did not work he told me to my face he would reimburse me. After Audi made the repair Mike was unable to get the insurance to cover THEIR mistake. Instead of reimbursing me Mike shut me out and straight up said he was not responsible. Because lying to the insurance did not work out for him, his front desk associate stopped picking up calls and never called me back and Mike stopped responding. In conclusion, if you take your vehicle here its not safe and I would record every instance with Mike as he tends to make promises he does not intend to keep.

The first vehicle I ever owned was a '93 Chevy Blazer. Unbeknownst to me at the time, I had just…read moredriven a lemon off the lot. Not even 6 months later, the engine threw a rod which meant I had to replace the whole thing. It took about 8 weeks (or an entire summer) to replace the engine in that hunk of junk. I remember it vividly because that's also how long it took my broke ass self to pay the mechanic to do the job (labor costs are rough, man!). That was an entire engine. So, why in the ever loving f#@% did it take longer than this for a fender-bender replacement?! Ya know, I feel as though we've come a long way from the Blazer days. Yet, coming to Crash Champions to get a collision repair done felt like taking 10 steps backward. I guess the problem all started with them misquoting their own ETA for repair. The lady taking my order GUESSED around 3 weeks on average. Okay, fair. To be honest, I fully expected the job to easily exceed the 30 day rental coverage offered by most auto insurance companies. What I did NOT anticipate, however, was for them to.. -Exceed their original ETA by over two months. -Adjust, readjust, then re-REadjust their estimated quote for all parts and labor. -Misquote their estimated labor hours necessary for the job (seriously, why even include this on the report at all?). -Come literal MINUTES away from completing reassembly, only to fumble obtaining the correct bolts for a freaking fog lamp! And that's not to mention their infrequent status updates on my car. The best way I could describe their communication with me is....intermittent. Yeah. Intermittent is the right word. As it turns out, I apparently was speaking with the wrong clerk. But...more on that later. Initially, I was sent sporadic texts updating me on the status of the car; that it was in disassembly, reassembly, STILL in reassembly, etc. Problem is....I never got any substantial updates about exactly what the hold up was with that last part until I called the shop back for the 10th time (or whatever number it was, I've honestly lost count by this point). Only THEN...was I able to speak to a second clerk who actually had some mechanical sense. I recall reading the completed estimate report sent to my insurance company DAYS BEFORE ever receiving a text from the first CC clerk stating, "Lol, JK...the estimate is still being processed". I made the first part of that message up. But it gives you an idea of the tone such inconsistency sends to the customer. And as the estimated pickup date of February 27th came and went, the estimated cost of repairs also got readjusted a third time for whatever reason. It doesn't matter anyway, since that part is covered by insurance. However, that...combined with them somehow receiving the incorrect bolts for a fog lamp reeks of incompetence somewhere. I still have no idea WHO specifically is to blame here (I was told by CC that it was the Tulley dealership). But clearly, someone effed up royally because it ultimately cost me TWO additional weeks of waiting time just to get my own car back. Don't even get me started on how much money I had to shell out-of-pocket in rental costs. There oughta be at least partial reimbursement for all my mental pain and suffering. But, I digress. It's worth mentioning they offer you a link to their page listing (in percentage) the total cost of repairs, along with the ETA and status of the vehicle. Though, to be honest....this page is half useless because once the original ETA passes, it's never updated again to readjust to the new ETA (assuming there even is one). It turns out, I should have followed my initial instincts to go with a competing shop, despite them being booked solid until two weeks later than CC originally was able to schedule me. That's the ONLY reason I opted for this place. Meanwhile, all the writing on the wall basically ranked this place as bottom of the barrel. It seems, for once, all the rumors were true. Sorta. So, you might be wondering why I'm ranking this place 3 stars instead of 1 like literally every single reviewer before me. I only have one name for you: Trish. Seriously, this girl is a gem! Had it not been for her candid, detailed update on what the hell was happening here, plus her outstanding customer service, I was inches away from ranking this place a 2. Well...that, plus the fact they returned my car good as new. Alas, this is a visit I have no intention of repeating. Grading on a curve (albeit a steep one), I'm gonna be the first (and possibly only) customer to give Crash Champions on Amherst 3 diamonds in the rough named Trish out of 5.

Their communication throughout the entire process was outstanding -- they kept me updated on the progress of the repairs and always checked in to make sure I was all set with everything involving my rental. When I picked up my car today, they went the extra mile by cleaning it inside and out, making it look and smell like a brand-new vehicle. I truly hope I never need collision repair again, but if I ever do, Nashua Collision will be the only place I go. I will absolutely be recommending them to all my family and friends. Mike and his entire team were fantastic -- every time I stopped in, called, or texted, they were incredibly professional, friendly, and positive. I cannot praise them enough!

They had also completely cleaned the car, which was a great bonus. The best part was the final bill. Dave Illg's did not see me as just a paycheck despite being a young woman with car problems. When I called it was a breath of fresh air because they said that they'd take my car today and promised me they'd look at it- I asked for a timeframe on when I'd get an estimate and they said they would look at the car and be able to tell me right away and that exactly what they did. All of the other bodyshops I called claimed that they could not look at the car for at least 2 weeks and Dave Illg's helped me unload my car, looked at it, gave me a verbal estimate, and gave me a clear timeline of when to expect my insurance company to be receiving my written estimate- despite the fact that I came in an hour before close on a Friday. I would recommend Dave Illg's to anyone looking for a competent, compassionate, professional, and honest body shop.
