Have been here three times now. A fantastic way to taste Asturian cuisine. First, we came for the tasting menu (15€ for 6-8 dishes), as the price cannot be beat in Madrid for the experience of a tasting menu + quantity of food. The only dishes that disappointed were the Bloody Mary (a tomato soup with mollusks--just a weird dish + texture overall) and the "cheesecake" that came as part of the dessert assortment (only because it was essentially just soft cheese, which our group found to be too strong a taste for dessert, though the apple cider sauce that topped it--and Asturias is known for their cider--was fantastic). Other than those, the dishes were all enjoyable, with our favorites being the pastry-puff stuffed with pork (the vegetables on the side were also delicious!) and their banoffee pie (the next two times we came back were honestly definitely to get that banoffee pie again!). First of all, in Spanish restaurants, most of the desserts have not been notable at all, and "pies"/"tarts" have especially been disappointing because they usually lack some kind of crust. Here, the banoffee pie had a layer of a graham cracker-type crust, bananas coated in dulce de leche, and a homemade whipped cream that made for a divine combination.
The second time we came back was because we received a voucher for a free caña + tapa from our first meal. The croquettes we got were tasty but nothing special, and the tortilla espanola was a bit burnt so not too enjoyable. We also ordered their Vietnamese-style spring rolls which were pleasantly refreshing (light food is hard to find in Spain...) and tasty. Recommended for taste but slightly steep pricing at 3€ per roll.
The third time we came back was solely to try the other desserts since we had high expectations because of the banoffee pie. The chestnut and chocolate tart was nothing too remarkable, and the rice crepe you should definitely try once as it was a very different dessert (pleasantly light again), but ultimately, we decided that none were comparable to the banoffee pie! read more
