I tried the hyped Habibi Burger and honestly, if it wasn't praised that much I probably would've enjoyed it more. My expectations were just too high. Still a good burger though. I've had their tomato soup before and it was amazing, and the banana pudding style dessert they make is also really solid.

This place is optimized for take out orders so there are only 3 small tables inside and 3 small tables outside. Since this place is a combination of 3 restaurants, there's a lot of options to choose from. I just got the red lentil soup from Soupchu which was cheap and really hit the spot. I'm definitely coming back whenever I need some soup!

10/10 Delicious Menu This is my first time I searched "soup" and to my surprise they have a variety of options from Bone Marrow to Plant based and vegetarian options! They have burgers, salads, soups and falafel style food. It's also open late night which is a huge plus For us, I was looking for something healthy and easy on my stomach and it hit the mark. & The gentleman who work here are great, very welcoming. We will be back!!

A hidden gem of deliciousness! I had heard of GastrobotEats from Social Media, but to my surprise, I found it tucked away in a strip mall that I had been driving past and didn't even realize it! It was a Saturday afternoon and I was on the hunt for lunch after doing errands. I actually went to another eatery that happened to be closed and voila! I turn around and there's GastrobotEats. So far, I've only been this one visit and I must say how nice the Staff is. I ordered the Glow Salad with chicken added as my protein. I additionally got the Tabouli on the side and I'm not sure if the front Staffer was being nice or saw my check-in on Yelp, but I also got a free, Red Lentil Ball which is delish. My order was to-go. What can I say? This is a huge meal and I split it into two, there's so much! There's not a lot of space here -- by definition of a strip mall, there's about three tables and a small parking lot that was so full on a Saturday at noon, I still had to park on the side street. My only comment is that as delicious and healthy the food is, it's a bit pricey. I'll definitely be back when I'm feeling the splurge, but unfortunately, it can't be on a regular basis. Good luck to GE!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything is good from the food to the service, including ambiance![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Open until 1:00PM late night. The staff are very friendly and helpful with navigating the menu items to figure out what is best to eat. I was recommended the Beef Stew and Sultan's Delight, along with peach Guayak tea. It is also right next door to Cyber City (ESports Center) for late night gaming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere here feels pretty safe for dining in and picking up some take out cuisine![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommended! 5-Stars!!

Such a delightful hidden gem! Love the presentation of the food and the service is so kind as well. All of the portions are very generous! Enjoyed them all too. The meatballs were flavorful, eggplants refreshing, hummus delicious, and salad was so fresh! I recommend trying the eggplant and meatball bowl. There is a parking lot in front and just a few tables and chairs both inside and outside of Gastrobot. Will be back again soon!

Nice hidden gem in heart of La. Great speedy service and amazing food! Highly recommend the Adana kebab and falafel wrap.

My new favorite lunch spot! :) So far I've tried the Lentil Mental Salad (the red lentil balls are amazing), Chicken Couscous Soup, and Grandma's Banana Pudding. Everything was fresh, delicious, and so beautifully presented. The staff were friendly including the attractive manager/owner who explained the 3 restaurants and various dishes to me. This place is a hidden gem, so happy I found it and I highly recommend ordering takeout from here if you're in the city. I'll definitely be back for more.

They handed out menus and took your order when you were close to the front. Once seated inside, they welcomed you with their signature banchan dishes: the nutty boribap (보리밥), which tastes great on its own but even better with their yeolmu kimchi (radish water kimchi). There's also their tasty radish kimchi and napa kimchi. Throughout the meal, they replenished our banchan multiple times without us asking. We tried two of the new items: Galbi Kalguksu: A delicious, deep-flavored bone broth with knife-cut noodles, shredded fried egg, sliced radish, and scallions. The meat fell off the bone, and I loved the broth, though my husband thought it was a little on the saltier side. Perilla Oil Makguksu: Cold buckwheat noodles in perilla oil. Mixed with sliced shiitake mushrooms, shredded perilla leaf, gim (seaweed), sesame seeds, and scallions. It's a deliciously light refreshing dish if you don't want the heavy knife-cut noodle dishes. Last, I ordered the Non-spicy Seafood Kalguksu. It comes with a anchovy broth with a lot of seafood flavors. It's a lighter broth than the galbi but still rich in flavor. It came with clams, mussels, shrimps and 1/2 crab. There was also sliced pumpkin and zucchini. Everything tasted great. Their servers were very attentive and generous with replenishing the side dishes, and overall it was a wonderful experience. If you see a line and don't mind waiting 15-30 minutes, it moves pretty quickly, so don't be deterred by it.

We came as a group of 9 and thankfully, they allow for reservations if you are a group of 8 or bigger. Take note! Especially in this LA peak heat. We checked in with the valet and they gave us menus as we waited about 15/20 minutes for the table to be ready. You will need to order before you are seated and you cannot order anymore food once you are seated, given how popular they are, this makes plenty sense. We were seated inside with cooling AC and the restaurant is quite large inside! It could certainly have several parties in there. Soon, our galbi kalguksu, XL chicken kalguksu, tteokbeokki and XL pork jowl and pork belly bossam showed up. Everything was extra delicious and fresh. The soups in both the galbi and chicken kalguksus were amazing and the hand pulled noodles were divine. We drank and ate everything up quickly. The tteokbeokki was delicious, but too spicy so the rest of the party was able to enjoy it. The bossam was all so tender and had just enough napa and garlic to go with it along with the many unique sauces we could dip all the meats in. Everyone left feeling happy and it satisfied everyone's palates.

The hot and sour soup was thick and chunky, just how I like the soup. The scallion bread sandwich with 5-spice beef was distinct. The bread was perfectly baked and the beef was flavorful and juicy. There was both mustard greens and pickles that gave crunch and acidity to balance the meat and bread. The lotus root salad was refreshing while still having a kick from their in-house chili oil. Dan Dan noodles were also excellent. Fresh cucumbers, chewy noodles, flavorful sauce. Hearty portions with enough for a lunch the next day. Also appreciated the speed of service. I recall attempting to visit here once at 7pm on a weekday, but immediately walking away because of how busy it was. My expectations for Asian food are quite high since I grew up in the SGV, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of Joy! Dan Dan Noodles: Amazing noodle texture with very rich, flavorful peanut sauce. Is it not spicy and sweeter compared to traditional Sichuan versions of Dan Dan Noodles. I would pair this with the chili sauce for that extra kick. Braised Pork Rice: This particular dish did not stand out to me, but I have seen other great reviews about it so maybe it was just an off-day. The flavors were a little bland and it simply did not stand out to me. There are definitely better braised pork rices out in the SGV. Thousand Layer Pancake with Egg & Cheese: So packed with flavor while the outside was nicely flaky. It did not feel overly greasy whatsoever and I loved the inclusion of melted cheese. Hakka Mochi: The mochis did not have any filling inside of them, but they were overflowing (in a good way) with black sesame and peanut powder on top of it. They were so warm, chewy, and moist!

While the broth was tasty, it wasn't cold :( Kind of defeats the purpose, especially when you're waiting in the heat for a table and the room itself was pretty warm. Banchan was pretty limited as well, with just two Kim chi types and cucumbers with samjang. The highlight might have been the ribs, which are not LA style but full bone. The bulgogi was pretty tasty as well, but serving was really small and the daengjang soup not all that great. Loved the purple rice though! I do like that they offer free tea, but is offset with the charging of to go boxes :). I realize it's only $0.50, but it did keep me from ordering an extra dish which would have guaranteed the need for containers. Thankfully we only needed three :). Parking is valet only and the place was packed even though we chose an off peak time of 2:00pm. $3 isn't bad, but even valet had a hard time keeping up so keep parking in mind when visiting.

Udon noodles were good, but it was not excellent. It did have light chewy texture. BUT in comparison to Meiji Seimen, it fell short, really short! I was disappointed. BEEF BOWL It was delicious! Beef was tender and moist and loved the caramelized onion too. Rice was delicious too, not dry nor mushy. Served with pickled red ginger. A very satisfying bowl. Sat at the bar, so watched them make udon from scratch, which was nice. WAIT LIST There was a line when I got there, just as it opened. It wasn't long, but everyone wrote their name down on a wait list. There's a sheet of paper placed on the table outside. Please write your name down ASAP, as that will help in making sure that you will grab a seat. Also, the lines are disorganized too, so it's best to write down your name, so no one cuts in front of you. It is a small restaurant. Limited seats. CUSTOMER SERVICE It was okay. Everyone got in the restaurant in the order they came in. Service was quick and there were no delays in taking orders. The server came by quickly and dropped off the check as she saw that I was nearly finished with my meal. PARKING Parked at Joe's Autoparks. It was $15! I did not know until after I paid the ticket. Very difficult to find parking in this area, so not many options unless you want to walk really far, back to your car in 90 degree heat. There was another parking garage next to Joe's, but the price was the same! Would I come back again? Not sure. Given that the udon wasn't what I expected, it may be my last time here. Also, parking sucks.
