A hidden gem of deliciousness! I had heard of GastrobotEats from Social Media, but to my surprise, I found it tucked away in a strip mall that I had been driving past and didn't even realize it! It was a Saturday afternoon and I was on the hunt for lunch after doing errands. I actually went to another eatery that happened to be closed and voila! I turn around and there's GastrobotEats. So far, I've only been this one visit and I must say how nice the Staff is. I ordered the Glow Salad with chicken added as my protein. I additionally got the Tabouli on the side and I'm not sure if the front Staffer was being nice or saw my check-in on Yelp, but I also got a free, Red Lentil Ball which is delish. My order was to-go. What can I say? This is a huge meal and I split it into two, there's so much! There's not a lot of space here -- by definition of a strip mall, there's about three tables and a small parking lot that was so full on a Saturday at noon, I still had to park on the side street. My only comment is that as delicious and healthy the food is, it's a bit pricey. I'll definitely be back when I'm feeling the splurge, but unfortunately, it can't be on a regular basis. I went to GastrobotEats for some Mediterranean food and it was delicious. It's a really small place with maybe two tables inside and two tables outside so it's probably more known for take out. The manager was really nice and was telling us how they have a location in San Fran and this is their new spot in LA for about 5 months. He recommended some really good dishes to them and we tried them all. Started off with complimentary hummus and pita bread which was really delicious. Then we had the sun-dried eggplant dolmas which was ok. Our main dishes were the Beef Stew and the Butchers Kofte (MEATBALL dish) and omg those meatballs were amazing!!! So good I wish it came with more. The Beef stew was good too, but would have liked to see more meat. All in all the portions were big and delish and it was a sunny day in La so we sat outside and enjoyed the weather. Next time I'm in the area, I will definitely try more from their menu. read more
