Our group tried 3 spreads: the Hummus Duck 'Nduja ($19), Baba Ghanoush ($19), and Liver Pate. The baba ghanoush was my fave - it had a nice smoky flavor, and the pomegranates were a unique addition. The duck hummus was pretty tasty and flavorful, but was on the salty side. The pita bread that came with the hummus was fresh and warm! The liver pate personally wasn't my fave, but we got it since our friends loved it. For appetizers, we got the roasted cauliflower ($24), trout crudo ($32), octopus ($36), sweet potato flatbread ($26), and the oyster mushrooms ($29). My faves were the trout crudo and oyster mushrooms. The oyster mushrooms were grilled nicely and are best eaten hot! The octopus was tender, and cauliflower had a good flavor. The sweet potato flatbread was interesting, with a sweet and savory profile. For entrees, we got the Grilled Dorade ($54) and the Whole Lamb Rack ($92), both of which were stellar. The fish had a unique and strong flavor and was so tender. The lamb was also perfectly tender and had a mild gamey flavor. Overall enjoyable meal, but on the pricey side.

Even when it's busy, the restaurant still feels organized and comfortable, and there's something about the courtyard setting that makes the whole experience feel a little more special than your typical casual dinner. Portions are generous, the food comes out fresh, and everything feels like it's meant to be shared around the table. It's the kind of place that works just as well for a family dinner as it does for a bigger group or a casual night out. Service has always felt efficient and attentive, especially considering how busy the restaurant can get. The overall experience is consistent, which is probably a big reason Raffi's has stayed so popular for so long. There are plenty of Persian and Armenian restaurants around Glendale, but Raffi's continues to stand out because it delivers the full package: good food, generous portions, a great setting, and an atmosphere that feels uniquely local. Definitely one of those places I'd recommend to someone visiting Glendale for the first time.

Parking can be a little tough since they don't have their own parking. I was able to find a spot two blocks away so it wasn't too bad. Got their kefta plate which comes with salad, ground lamb and beef, roasted chillis, and tahina as my main. Everything was great, chillis had a good juicy kick. You get to choose a side and a sauce, I went with their garlic sauce which was a bit heavy for my liking. Their sides were amazing. We ordered their oyster mushrooms which were juicy and flavorful. Love the sauce that came under the mushrooms. Their crispy broccoli was also really good. We had some leftovers and air frying these was such a great move. Would recommend mizlala to anyone and everyone!

The patio is a cute little oasis in west Adams (but certainly toasty during a heat wave so keep that in mind). The salmon plate is my go-to and it's so much food - great value for the price. I love that you get the option to choose your sauce and a pickle and the charred lemon is a small but great addition. I've had better pita elsewhere, but theirs does the trick for dipping in their fresh dips and I've never left here unsatisfied. Some mention parking is hard but I've never had too much trouble after searching for a couple minutes on the side streets. Will absolutely keep this place is my rotation for weekend lunches.
