Took a moment to find someone to help, and then he handed me a paddle that 'should' work. When I went to check out, of the three checkout people, not a one would engage in conversation, as I would have liked to get info. on local spots. They did all three clamor to talk to a local boater while I reminded the cashier to give me a receipt. When I went to paddle turns out the paddle was too short, and the paddle did not adjust to my height. Found a better and cheaper paddle at a different store, which is where I would suggest going.

Called again in April, told I would receive the boots on Monday. Called again in May and was told they could overnight the boots to me. As the boots were a gift from my wife I took the boots....no socks were sent. 4 months for a pair of boots at $500.00 is tough to swallow and difficult to prepare for. Customer service that basically says take it leave it? And then they dont follow up with their own peace offering? Lots of options out there catering to the hunting community.....

This review is based only on the repair of my several Kenetrek boots by Carters…read more I have used this shop for many repairs. They are the only authorized repair shop for Kenetrek boots. Because of this I will no longer be wearing Kenetrek boots. I have had to many bad experiences to list. They messed up several times on jobs. No apologies, no we will fix it. Just excuses and attitude. If you do a complete resole including the urethane on Kenetrek boots they do not fit right after wards. I don't know why this is but I have had several friends have the same issue. Once again. No apologies, no we will fix it. Just excuses and attitude. The last resole I had done cost $170. After picking my jaw up from the floor I asked why and he said they now go over the complete boot, fix anything and give you new laces and insoles. Well, the laces were not as good as the ones that came with the boots and the repairs were just some sort of flexible paste smeared on the boot. The cordura part of the tongue was coming apart and I assumed there would be a professional repair, but all they did was smear this goop over it. It was very unprofessional looking and my $450 boots should not look like a two year old blew his nose on them. There were several spots around the rubber rock protector where it looked like they smeared the same goop. I am assuming there was some slight delamination and that was how they fixed it. Very sloppy. I would strongly recommend not using this store and not buying Kenetrek boots as a direct result of how their only repair facility handles their repairs.

1 star. I would strongly caution others before renting from Big Boys Toys - and specifically the…read moreowner, Ethan. Our group rented a 4-seater and three individual quads on August 8. We were specifically told one quad would be a Yamaha, but instead received a different quad that repeatedly shut off during our ride. Based on our interactions with Big Boys Toys, it became apparent that they were already aware this equipment had been experiencing mechanical issues before it was rented to us. That quad eventually became completely inoperable. We immediately contacted Big Boys Toys and followed their instructions on where to leave it. We then had to arrange for someone with a personal vehicle to retrieve the stranded rider. During that process, a second one of our three individual quads also became inoperable. At that point, two of the three quads we rented had broken down, we lost a significant portion of our rental time, and we ultimately had to end the outing early. The personal vehicle used to retrieve our stranded riders also sustained scratches and wheel damage. I contacted Big Boys Toys afterward requesting a refund given everything that happened. Instead, they charged us an additional $260 to retrieve the malfunctioning vehicles. So, in summary: we were provided equipment that Big Boys Toys appeared to already know had mechanical issues, two of our three individual quads became inoperable, riders were left stranded, we had to use and damage a personal vehicle retrieving them, our outing was cut short, and we were then charged another $260 for Big Boys Toys to pick up their malfunctioning equipment. We have photos and videos documenting the equipment and what occurred. Equipment can break. What is unacceptable is renting equipment with known issues and then making the customer pay hundreds of dollars more when that equipment fails. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Big Boys Toys. The owner Ethan is unethical for not only renting out known malfunctioned equipment, but then charging the customer for it. Stay away from this spot.

He took the time to listen to my positive 30 year history with my custom Simms waders as well as my current needs and preferences. This was not a 911, as my waders are still performing. It was more of a proactive possible purchase visit. Jack was extremely knowledgable, patient, and committed to helping me. He knows the product line and referenced the posted size charts. He remained personable and did not grow weary despite the number of waders he retrieved and repackaged. Jack also had me try on the available sample neoprene footies in various sizes.
